So I've put 219 hours into Dragon Age Origins, I own ALL DLC for it. I'm considering another playthrough but I kinda want a new game. I want an RPG in the same vein as Dragon Age Origins.

I've played and beat all the Mass Effect games, and beat all the DLC though I need to do citadel a few more times to see it all.

I don't like KOTOR (any of them) as I really really loath Star Wars (dodges stones).

I've played and beat Alpha Protocol a few times as well.

I'd love another Fantasy RPG similar to Dragon Age Origins, it doesn't have to be a triple A game, hell it could be a 2 side scroller for all I care but it needs to have interesting characters, a story and lore I can get into.

Oh and PS don't recommend Dragon Age II, we shall not discuss that ...."game"...
If you haven't played it yet, I'd recommend the Baldur's Gate games. They're rather old at this point, but you can find them on GOG.com and #2 at least is one of, if not the best RPGs of all time.

There's also Planescape: Torment, which is right up there with them.

Both (or technically all 3) games served as inspiration for Dragon's Age: Origins, which was actually billed as the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate. Check them out and see if you're interested.

If you can wait a few months, there's a whole spat of CRPGs that got Kickstarted coming out. Wasteland 2, Shadowrun Returns, Project Eternity, etc. All of which look like they're going to be amazing.

Dark Souls will satisfy all of your needs. Even the needs you don't want to be satisfied. Even the needs you didn't know you had.

I could go on for hours about why everyone ever should buy Dark Souls, but for now I'll just list a couple things.

-Combat that actually feels interactive and weighty (Looking at you Skyrim)
-Tons of options and depth to do anything you want with.
-The best god damned story, lore, and world in the history of video games.
-The replay value OH GOD THE REPLAY VALUE.
-JOLLY CO-OPERATION.

I tried Dark Souls, maybe it was just me but it felt like a really really bad PC port. I don't for see myself buying it for anything more than 5 bucks.

Well damn, everything suggest I've played, except for the JRPGs which I don't enjoy and don't have a console for anyways. I guess I should of mentioned I'm strictly a PC gamer. Honestly I was hoping some RPG master would come in here and suggest some lesser well known rpgs. Because I've beat or at least played most the mainstream ones.
If you are so desperately in need of some RPGs (not necessarily party oriented mind you), I could point to the following that haven't been mentioned yet...

* Gothic / Gothic II + Night Of The Raven / Risen (3rd person open world RPGs - if you like to explore, play them)
* Divinity II (3rd Person Hack & Slashy; entertaining but not deep)
* Temple Of Elemental Evil (haven't played but seems to be a battle-oriented party RPG similar to IWD)
* Arcanum (haven't played it either; steampunk themed and seems to be more story than gameplay oriented)
* Drakensang (Party-based Fantasy RPG based on the Dark Eye; I didn't like it, but it might be worth a look for you)

I've actually been playing on pc, they patched it up quite a bit since release. I don't use it, but I know a lot of people who love DS Fix as well...

If you had fun playing Dragon Age Origins, then you might really like Final Fantasy XII. I would argue that the battle system of Final Fantasy XII is the battle system of Dragon Age Origins done better. The story and characters aren'tas good, but there is loads of content, an interesting world, and an amazing battle system.

I've actually not heard of these. I'll give them a look thanks.

I'm going to suggest The Walking Dead, by Tell Tale.

Now, I know you might be thinking "Whaaaaaaaaaaa?"
But I assure you it has a character driven narrative on par with Dragon Age Origins, and the action moments are much sparser but as a result of that they're more intense and poignant than the action moments in Dragon Age.

I also suggest Record of Agarest War
Also for it's excellent character driven narrative.
Don't let all the T&A in the promotional material fool you, it's story is expertly written.

I will warn you it's a JRPG, it's all Japanese audio, it's combat is turn based strategy.
If you can handle those things the game is amazing.
Plus it has a prequel which is pretty damn good, and a squeal which is...uh, acceptable. So if you like it there's more where that came from.

Trust me, you'll spend your entire life trying to fill the void left by Dragon Age Origins. It was a masterpiece, those 2 games (And Mass Effect 2) were the closest I've come to recapturing the feelings DAO gave me.

You're welcome! But let me warn you: there is no Gothic III - everyone who tells you otherwise, lies.

Now, where are my 100 cookies? :)

It's funny I tried The walking dead stuff, the first episode of it and ya. It was just not my thing. Maybe it is that I just don't get the whole zombie thing or that I didn't really care about the character but it was crap. I couldn't make myself play for more than an hour.

It may be personal preference, but I've been playing and getting a bit of a kick out of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Seconded for KoA:R. Really fun, 100h+ game. All the DLC are really fun as well, each clocking in about 10-12/15 hours. Fateshifting enemies is really cool, combat is slick. The ability to mix and match the skill trees is cool, and the ability to switch at any time (though it gets more expensive each time you do it.) Story is quite good, if a bit generic at times but does occasionally ask some good questions about the nature of fate and destiny, and the impact choices have on the future. I will say play it on hard first runthrough, because you will find yourself quite OP at about level 30 on the easier difficulties. Also, good challenging boss fights that are actual boss fights as opposed to just shooting the bad guy once in an interactive cut scene (I'm looking at you fable 2 -.-)

So yeah, get KoA:R. It is a really good game that more people should play. Plus, you being of the PC master race should be able to get some good mods for it. (I wouldn't know, I got it on xbox)

The Witcher 2
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Dragon's Dogma
Fallout: New Vegas

All are particularly awesome and should easily fill the void from DA:O.

I don't know if you've ever played the Dungeon Siege Games. I haven't played 1 or 3, but Dungeon Siege II was a fun party-based rpg (like Dragon Age). It might have aged a bit since it came out in 2005, but I have fond memories.

Seeing how often Planescape: Torment is being mentioned in here I feel obligated to inform people that a spiritual successor to that game is in the making. Currently on kickstarter under the name "Torment: Tides of Numenera" by the same guy who headed the first one.

Might be worth a look OP, though I doubt it will scratch your current itch. :)

The problem is that it isn't out yet. Just like wasteland 2 and the host of other kickstarters that are being funded and such right now.
