Oh look, they somehow managed to make it worse than 2, quite an feat, even by Bioware's sinking standards.
You are right, that used a lot of lock on as well. Hard to explain/use in a pure shooter. I can see wii/move working better then kinect for this, having a physical object to point. But I have never used a kinect so I am out of my league.Fayathon said:I mentioned Metroid: Prime, it is a great game, but it could be done so much better, but that wasn't my point. I want to see a game that combines something like military training rifles and a wraparound screen for a full immersion styled game, it would be amazing, like paintball, except, you know, no welts at the end of the day, and I don't have to worry about my glasses fogging up because of my damned mask.bombadilillo said:It was called http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metroid_Prime_3:_CorruptionFayathon said:All things considered though, a motion based shooter done right sounds like a whole lot of fun to me, though I suspect that it will be some years before we see a real gem come to fruition.
I don't know why other shooters on wii always sucked when perfect examples were out there...
Then again there might be more, I stopped trying to play them.
Just because it is a good peripheral doesn't mean it can be well integrated in to any game, particularly if it isn't required. Motion control seems to be something best considered at the beginning of developement rather than added later, I remember lots of people complaining about this with Wii games that handled the motion control poorly.ArBeater said:Kinect is a good peripheral, why are people bitching?
Screw Kinect! They should have made an Omni-tool for the 360's motion controls!Chrono212 said:Kinect + Mass Effect = Omnitool.
"Lift your arm up to open your Omnitool!"
Read: Open menu by lifting arm...away from the controller...in a firefight...yeah.
I'd take this as good news. If the "tweaking for a larger market" is just a Kinect option, then that means it will be a kind of tweaking that the rest of us can just ignore. Any Kinect commands will be built off of already existing controller commands, not the other way around.Zhukov said:[HEADING=3]Please let this be fake.[/HEADING]
Besides, how could they possibly use motion control in any significant way? It's a multi-platform title. 360, PC and PS3. Are they going to make a version compatible with the PS Move? That seems like an awful waste of time and effort. And then what about PC?
I find it hard to believe. Not only because I really don't want to believe it, but also because it just makes no sense.
Edit: Though that Omni-Tool suggestion some people are saying here sounds cool. I could nerd out over that.
...
But hey, so long as it's optional, I guess it can't do much harm... right?
I support this 110%.EonEire said:C'mon making Shepard look more like me with some sort of face scanner!
