More importantly new writers need to be brought in because that seems to be the shows crushing problem at the moment.
My thoughts exactly.

Aw, not another regeneration. Not so soon, it's mean to kill off every doctor after such a short time! 24 episodes, sheesh.

Oh please may this not be so... I really like Matt Smith's Doctor (Sorry non-Matt Smith fans but he is jolly good in my personal opinion).

Also, to quicker they kill 'em off the sooner the series will end or they're going to have to come up with some contrived reason to give him more than 12 regenerations (that's 13 bodies).

*sigh* all we can hope is that it is just conjecture from a tabloid.

The River Song continuity is messed up already as she knew The Doctor as David Tennant despite her only seeing him once before he regenerated.
that we know of there is a big point made in doctor who that he is not always rescueing people he does go on holidays to far off planets andmeets other people

I have a feeling he's not going anywhere anytime soon. After just two seasons? C'mon, he's not that stupid to leave.

But I remember reading somewhere that that the Doctor can only regenerate 13 times, so if Smith does leave... then we're technically getting close to the end. I know that Moffat wouldn't let the series die out (and there are plot holes everywhere) but it would be interesting to see the Doctor's 14th regen be a woman or something.

I'm sorry Smith fans, but while you could say that the bad writing of the series and the vast changes to the DW staff this season had a vast impact on the, well, 'feel' of the season... it certainly didn't help that they cast Smith as the Doctor despite how OTT he is and such.
You could say that, but you'd be vastly talking out of your own opinion.

This is a more likely rumour then the one about a Doctor Who film starring Jonney Depp. The only reason I hope its true is because I think Steve Moffet would the best perosn to figure out how to get more regenerations without it seeming like an ass-pull. Hope it isn't true though as I like Matt Smiths doctor.

I know it may be sexist, but the only thing that would make me stop watching is if he regenerated into a woman. They have Time Ladies as well as Time Lords so it would be unecessary. However, a black [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0252230/] guy [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0430667/] would be interesting.

All I can say is I'm getting pretty sick of everyone quitting. Tennant is the only one who had any staying "power".

I think she only realised that he was the Doctor when he introduced himself, because she said something like "You're really young" as it was the first time from his point of view that he'd met her after the introduction although it's years since I've seen the episode in question so I might be wrong!

OT: I hope this isn't true, as I like Matt Smith, I don't want him to go this quickly!

When I saw that this was a sun report I immediately ran here to debunk it, I'm glad I didn't have to. Seriously, as a Liverpool citizen, I want to burn all copies of the sun.

What, already? D:

Oh cmon, even Christopher Eccelston lasted longer than that!

I like the new doctor, don't let him go already!

I take comfort from the fact that its the totally unreliable Sun starting the rumour...
ERm...Chris Eccleston only lasted for one season. Eccleston was 2005 only, Tennant was 2005-2009 (2010 if you count the specials) and Smith will be at least 2010-2011.
...really?

Well, damn, it felt like Eccleston went on for much longer than that!

Aaaah wells, I still want Matt Smith to stay on for longer!
