Not a big deal. I used to work at MS, there's plenty of people in there passionate enough about the company to do this on their own accord. And they get plenty of corporate branded stuff.

It's very possible, even if this wasn't directly ordered by Microsoft. There must be a lot of people at MS Games who really want to keep their jobs, so anything which could sell more Xbones seems like a good idea.

It is of course bloody stupid, but some people might be getting desperate.

Really? You used to work there? I don't mean to gang up on you, but do you think that any employees would actually do this?

"Put a blanket on it..." :p
Hahah, if he's there to crash the party, he's doing a very poor job.

Does anyone think this could easily be a troll? How easy would it be to get a generic polo that says Microsoft and then go around doing this?
Yeah, that was my first thought. Hell, it's kinda tempting to go out and do it myself XD

My best friend from college is the son of a Microsoft employee, and his mum is able to get him some seriously nice crap all the time for extremely low prices, generally he's able to get things that cost about 1/5th of the regular price. For example, any new Microsoft game, product (like Windows 8 computers, MS Office, etc) are hilariously cheap for him. He defends all MS stuff, apparently he "loves" Windows 8 and is excited about the Xbone announcement even after hearing it all.

So I can see how they're very prideful. Every employee I've met from MS is fairly dedicated. However, I could never see any of them acting this. They're more like the annoying rich gated community that is fairly nutty and elitest but never leave their pretty gates because they're pretty happy with their lives there and when they finally do do leave they're fairly chill because they're satisfied knowing they can go back to that community (figuratively).

Also: Some guy wearing a MS polo and being an idiot at a store with cameras rolling? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... seem legit.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is an employee, but chances are he isn't. Which would also be sad given how awful the system is.

Thank you very much for the insight, Just I still can't tell if this guy is real or not myself.
All I know now is that the image in the GenGAME link wasn't a photoshop thanks to the video.

I'm just waiting on some sign that this is either legit or a hoax because it's like Poe's Law at the moment, I swear.

If this is true then it's despicable, if it's a lie then I question why anyone feels the need to make up stories to make Microsoft look bad when their PR department is doing a perfectly adequate job under their own steam.

(...Did you notice the subtle wordplay? Puns are like a fetish to me, I swear to god.)

There's a few folks I know that I wouldn't be surprised if I heard they had done something like this. Microsoft used to be a fantastic place to work 10 years ago, when I got in. You'd be surprised how smart the people in there are, the entry bar used to be pretty high, if I say so myself. I left a few years ago.

Honestly, its not really different from many tech corporations I know. Many people at Google or Facebook are probably as passionate about their respective companies.

Alright, thanks, just as I said to Devil's Due, it's hard as hell to figure out if this is a actual employee or not.
It seems retarded to do something like this while at the same time stories of MS doing stuff like this are all over the place.

Thanks for your time.

I highly doubt this to be accurate information. From a business standpoint doing such a thing would make no sense and would be damaging in the long run. There are much better ways to destroy the competition.

Perhaps this is just an attempt to further discredit Microsoft. If that was the case than I would almost hope that the Xbone outsells all of it's competitors just out of spite.

I have a tendancy to make the company i work for sound good, i guess i feel like it would be kinda rude to say bad things about someone who gives me work unless they were really really bad.

I feel for this guy, at least from what we see in the video he's all naaaa c'mon Xbox isn't that baaad, it's not like he's holding anti Nintendo banners and a loudspeaker driving people away, he's probably just there as a gamer.

I saw someone make an observation at another forum and it makes perfect sense. Microsoft has been installing booths in Best Buy's across the country to sell Microsoft Surface Tablets. I can personally vouch for this, since I went into my local BB about a month ago and there was a Surface booth with a "Microsoft" employee at the booth to answer questions. Now that I think about it, the employee was wearing a polo that was very similar to the one shown in the video.

So what probably happened, whatever employee was working the Surface booth came over to try and promote the Xbone during the Wii U event. Still a pretty shitty thing to do, but not to the effect of Microsoft sending agents to attack competitors. Sorry guys, Microsoft may be stupid with PR, but I don't think they are THAT stupid. I could be wrong though :p

Oh come on, look at the picture. If you're a Microsoft employee trying to undermine Nintendo gigs, you're obviously not going to wear a Microsoft t-shirt.
Unfortunately the gaming media is alike to all other media in that it sensationalises and, with lack of another story, makes shit up.
But then who would have organized this. There's footage of it happening.

It is a genius anti-Microsoft marketing event, if fake.
Not that Microsoft needs it to do horribly. More like a cherry on the Microsoft obliteration sundae.

I believe it happened but whether it was actually indorsed by Microsoft or not I'm not so sure. Pleantly of people seem ready to defend the undefendable with regards to Microsoft and one of those shirts wouldn't be to hard to come by.
But why would someone wear that shirt? If it was a fanboy who wanted people to know he's a fanboy, he would most likely wear a T-shirt with an Xbox logo instead. The shirt that this guy is wearing is the kind given to employees (This I know for a fact). Him being a Microsoft employee seems like the most likely option.

I'm guessing he's a troll, or Microsoft really needed to target tiny Nintendo events full of Nintendo fans. By the way, why wasn't there a Microsoft employee at the Culver City Best Buy that I went to? I guess they don't care enough about me to mildly annoy me in person. :'(

If it's true, they should probably stop fucking about and focus more on fixing their new shit console. I don't know if this proves anything though. It can't be that hard to get a microsoft shirt.
