Not a big deal. I used to work at MS, there's plenty of people in there passionate enough about the company to do this on their own accord. And they get plenty of corporate branded stuff.
Really? You used to work there? I don't mean to gang up on you, but do you think that any employees would actually do this?imagremlin said:Not a big deal. Yeah, that was my first thought. Hell, it's kinda tempting to go out and do it myself XDEri said:Does anyone think this could easily be a troll? How easy would it be to get a generic polo that says Microsoft and then go around doing this?
My best friend from college is the son of a Microsoft employee, and his mum is able to get him some seriously nice crap all the time for extremely low prices, generally he's able to get things that cost about 1/5th of the regular price. For example, any new Microsoft game, product (like Windows 8 computers, MS Office, etc) are hilariously cheap for him. He defends all MS stuff, apparently he "loves" Windows 8 and is excited about the Xbone announcement even after hearing it all.Diablo1099 said:Really? You used to work there? Thank you very much for the insight, Just I still can't tell if this guy is real or not myself.Devil said:Also: Some guy wearing a MS polo and being an idiot at a store with cameras rolling? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... seem legit.
There's a few folks I know that I wouldn't be surprised if I heard they had done something like this. Microsoft used to be a fantastic place to work 10 years ago, when I got in. You'd be surprised how smart the people in there are, the entry bar used to be pretty high, if I say so myself. I left a few years ago.Diablo1099 said:Really? You used to work there? Alright, thanks, just as I said to Devil's Due, it's hard as hell to figure out if this is a actual employee or not.imagremlin said:There's a few folks I know that I wouldn't be surprised if I heard they had done something like this. Honestly, its not really different from many tech corporations I know. Many people at Google or Facebook are probably as passionate about their respective companies.
But then who would have organized this. There's footage of it happening.Tom_green_day said:Oh come on, look at the picture. If you're a Microsoft employee trying to undermine Nintendo gigs, you're obviously not going to wear a Microsoft t-shirt.
Unfortunately the gaming media is alike to all other media in that it sensationalises and, with lack of another story, makes shit up.
But why would someone wear that shirt? If it was a fanboy who wanted people to know he's a fanboy, he would most likely wear a T-shirt with an Xbox logo instead. The shirt that this guy is wearing is the kind given to employees (This I know for a fact). Him being a Microsoft employee seems like the most likely option.GroovySpecs said:I believe it happened but whether it was actually indorsed by Microsoft or not I'm not so sure. Pleantly of people seem ready to defend the undefendable with regards to Microsoft and one of those shirts wouldn't be to hard to come by.
