Sweet 400 bucks not bad at all. I wonder if its gonna be dreamcasted though if MS or Sony pull out some crazy hardware for 2011. At least it seems innovative, finally someone puts a dang touchsceen on a controller .
Did you miss the part where they regretted not charging more for the Wii?JediMB said:I recall Nintendo saying something about not launching their consoles at more than $250 back when the Wii was put on the market.
*shrugs*
Rumors are rumors. We'll see how things turn out.
I don,t think 1080P would make Mario look any better, it are pretty simplistic graphics.herzogzwei said:I hope that Wii HD aka Project Cafe is indeed using an AMD R700 graphics processor, specifically the RV770 or some custom variant of it. If so, that would offer roughly one hundred times the graphics performance of the Hollywood GPU in Wii. Now imagine what EAD Tokyo could do with a Mario Galaxy 3 in 1080p 60fps glory! drooooooool

Personally, I think they should goMmmFiber said:I think we're still one generation behind that!
The next one will obviously be Splash

The reason the PS2 had so much crap on it was because it was the best, most popular console, which meant that everybody and their dog would release that hastily made shitty games on it. Fortunately, there were also an absolute fuck-ton of fantastic games released on the PS2 as well, which is what really matters at the end of the day.Verlander said:I see the Wii's steaming pile of crap, and raise it the PS2's pile of steaming crap. You may be overselling it slightly, but as for the crap on the Wii, it's for exactly the same reason. Looking at hard statistics, and the Wii is bafflingly popularGiantRaven said:The reason the PS2 had so much crap on it was because it was the best, most popular console, which meant that everybody and their dog would release that hastily made shitty games on it. Still cheaper than the PS3 at launch. Just saiyan.Mr.Mattress said:400$? A bit too pricey for a Nintendo system, but, if they deliver on what they promise, it will be worth it.
It's the same as any retro love... a lot of it doesn't hold up after time has passed. If Nintendo have ever proved one thing, it's that their games have a larger longevity than most.Fronzel said:That's because there are also a large number of very good PS2 games.Verlander said:I see the Wii's steaming pile of crap, and raise it the PS2's pile of steaming crap. They could create a really pretty, boring as hell repetitive 3 dimensional platformer that couldn't even be bothered to change the soundbyte in the intro from "Super Mario Galaxy" to Super Mario Galaxy 2" Don't believe me?herzogzwei said:I hope that Wii HD aka Project Cafe is indeed using an AMD R700 graphics processor, specifically the RV770 or some custom variant of it.
