Well, I find that the main reason this will not work is because it is an inherent way out. You say that it has grown attached to the suit, but I imagine it isn't all that attached it it was threatened with annihilation. It could easily abandon the suit, and be ultimately away from the planet and safe. Like I said in the Original Post, the one thing that is really restricting your characters are the ability to just escape by simply having a ship, or teleportation.
In your characters case, you are going to have an ability/equipment/power that allows you to just defeat the entire purpose of the RP. I am leaving the door wide open for characters, but you are running into the wall next to it. Some tendril armor would work, or perhaps some other idea if you have one, but not a portal creature.
Race: Cetean, a combination of a shark and a human. They normally live underwater, but coming to the surface is not unheard of. They transform from a human form to a semi-shark form while in a body of water. They tend to keep to themselves, not venturing onto the surface world very often.
Sex: Male
Age: 18
Profession: Hunter
Equipment: Kesin carries around a watertight pack for any trips above the water. In it he keeps clothes he can change into, which consists of his clothes. Other than that, he carries no weapons, preferring to use his hands and claws, or just run away, as he is very fast on land or sea. (He can run, say, 20-25 mph on land, and can swim about 40-50 miles at sea)
Appearance: Standing at about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds of pure muscle, Kesin's appearance tends to change depending whether or not he is in water. While on land, Kesin seems like an ordinary human, plus a few peculiar traits. His hair, which he keeps cut short, is a dark green, seaweed-like color, which fades the longer he goes without water. His eyes are a grey-blue color. Three horizontal slits on the side of his neck resemble cuts, but are actually his gills closing up to stay moist. His fingers also branch out to nails that resemble shortened claws. He wears a grey polo and black shorts. He lacks any sort of body or facial hair.
While in a body of water, Kesin begins to change. His skin becomes a pale blue, and scaly. His gills open up, and his legs and lower body change into a shark's tail fin, a dorsal fin grows out from between his shoulder blades, and his teeth become deadly fangs. However, his arms and upper body remain humanoid.
Bio: Kesin barely knew his family. When he was still only about 6 years old (human years), his parents and twin brother fell victim to The One. Kesin, who was abnormally faster than most of his kind, managed to escape while The One was busy with his parents. Fleeing to the large reef system that served as the central hub of Cetean activity. He was forced to adopted the last name "Guess", marking him as an orphan, and was given training on how to survive. He spent years learning to hunt. Even at such a young age, Kesin showed significant talent for hunting, using his speed to chase down prey before it could get away. Most other Cetean described him as a "Mako Cetean", as he was one of the fastest members of the race at age 10. At age 13, the Cetean decided to make him one of the "Central Hunters", a group of specially talented Ceteans who hunt for themselves, the orphans who can't hunt on their own, and the elder Ceteans who make up the Cetean government.
However, despite his new position, Kesin always knew someone was watching him, and waiting for just the right moment. The One still knew Kesin was out there, and Kesin knew that the moment it had a chance, it would come for him. He knew he had to get off the planet before it was too late. He begged the elders for aid, and they were gracious enough to grant Kesin some clothes they managed to scavenge from a shipwreck, and a bag to keep them in.
His equipment packed, his goodbyes said, Kesin now takes his first tentative steps onto the shore.
Well, I would prefer it if you went with something else. I would appreciate the armor with tentacles, but a giant puppet doesn't make any kind of sense, especially when the creature itself makes little sense. It leaves far too many questions, as in where does the portal take you if you jump through it? How long would it take for the portal creature to "die" from lacking food and materials? Is this armor really of any significance whatsoever if it came to life or death situation? Is there purpose to this thing trying to escape the planet? Is there a reason why it is here in the first place?
And the list can go on and on. These are many questions that can have some crushing effects to the overall point of the RP, so I would like a character that doesn't raise as many, and largely obeys the rules of existence. Apologies, as it does seem of some interesting idea, but it doesn't quite work here.
He can teleport very short distances, like across a room max. It won't be useful for escaping The One more than flying. His world jumping is just an aspect of Planescape. He can't do it on command or by accident, Planescape just has doors to other dimensions and he walked through one and found himself here. Basically, somewhere in this dimension, that door still exists and he is looking to find it, but it could be anywhere in the universe. He can't do it at will, it's just a part of every universe. Planescape connects to all.
Despite the limited ability, I can't in good faith allow the teleport in. Your character is already gifted with a multitude of other powers, so I would hope that letting go of the short range teleport would work fair enough for you.
Though, the Planescape jumping I will continue to allow, as it does make it so your character already has an interesting way to escape, but it will require some amount of searching to manage it.

I'm still working on a sheet, by the way, I've just got a nice load of tests and other work this week. Just saying.
In retrospect, I can't come up with a good character that would work in this RP. Given that I'd only be able to do this half-assed, I'd like to withdraw my semi-submission.
Yes, all is still going. And there is yet a concern with your character. HOW are they planetside? And lastly, what are the limits of their powers? With those two questions answered, I can start narrowing things down and get underway. Wanted to leave it a bit open for any other potentials, but that is coming to a close shortly.

As many people as I wish. No real limit, as I don't mind if there are 20 or 5. Especially since some characters may experience some cases of death.
I will not be doing any characters other than random NPCs, The One, and other such important things. Otherwise, I will be letting everyone do their reaction, and having the world react to them.
Language will of course be an issue in some areas. Entering some areas will be filled with speakers who have no idea what your characters are saying, though for the sake of most progress many people will speak basic englishese or whatever you want to call it.
I'd like to give this a shot, from what I understand, every race has a choice of starting here, or being plopped. We'll assume these creatures started, and have been here for quite some time. If this isn't right, however, I can provide some altercations to make him a little more "new" to the world.
Name: Rikar Covek
Race: Dissector. Dissector's are cold-blooded reptiles. Males are normally green and black, whereas females are red and black. Their colors also help depict what diet they need, as the males are herbivores, and females are carnivores. They get their name due to the zone around their home, in which creatures or people are snatched up by them, and as rumor has it, subject to Dr.Death style tests, and, you guessed it, dissected whilst alive. As a result, Dissectors are masters of anything related to Biotechnology, as well as some very unique knowledge on other races around. Males are typically tall, strong, and very calm. Females are short, weak, winged, and very ill tempered. The race has a typical lifespan of 150 years of age.
Their technology has a strong reliance on biological manipulation, and their technology mimics that of pre-WW1 tech. Though, the "horseless carriage" has yet to take off. Construction and equipment is largely composed of sandstone, wood, and a hint of metal. They do have quite a few advanced things to provide an ease of living.
Sex: Male
Age: 76 (If human, this would put him around his mid 40's.)
Profession: Biochemist
Equipment:
Conscript's rifle and Permit. (Holds 5 rounds/mag. Very poisonous, but not very accurate.) Weapon is unloaded, Rikar keeps two mags just in case. Chemistry kit. Great for mixing and testing biological samples! Medical kit. Pretty good fix-all solution for most races and numerous reagents to accelerate healing to a very rapid pace. Of course, you won't be healed before your eyes, but Rikar can certainly save people if he has access to them while they recover. Hormones. Can induce unique abilities to Dissectors and a very select few races. A psychotic cocktail can lessen pain, accelerate healing, induce certain feelings. Great to turn someone into a killing machine, or even to calm someone down and sedate them. Some hormones can be used for medicine. Spare Syringes. Why not? Spare clothes. Heavier clothes needed. Cold blooded. Candles. One still needs to meditate from time to time. "Green food packs." Herbivore. Gotta pack some extra, well preserved snacks, right?
Appearance: 7 feet and 8 inches, Rikar's actually kind of short for his race. He is a strong, muscular man, yet still quite a lean individual. He has a very athletic body. Rikar has multicolored eyes as a result of self-experimentation. One eye is an emerald green, while the other has a slight pink hue, much like an albino. Dissectors are scaled creatures, as a result, Rikar has black scales, with the rare occasional dark green stripe along his body. a patch of skin on his head would grant him black hair. He has a short, yet boxed snout that would hide very flat teeth. Another hint to his plants only diet. Rikar is commonly seen leaning forward. As a result, he can seem to loom over people. Unfortunately, this is beyond his control. The biped has a tail that's quite long, and has to curl a little on the floor, as not to invade someone else's personal space. The rest of his body is remarkably Human.
He's not a barbarian though! Rikar is seen with a heavy white lab-coat. Under it is a darker gray suit that has a primary purpose of just keeping him warm. The thick, yet basic fabric didn't provide much style as anything other than a military uniform. Pockets lined his thighs for additional storage and his shirt had a pouch, like what a hoodie would have on it. His race did have a method of presenting one's military achievements in the form of colored wraps around the forearms and shins. The around his forearms were a darker red, and the ones around his shins were colored a light blue. They mark his job (Biochemist) and rank military, (Conscript) respectively.
Bio: Rikar comes from a very militarized home. If you're familiar with sweden, you're pretty familiar with both groups with Dissectors. One group believes that the creature is the symbol of life, and fate, wheras the other group believes that is a symbol of hate and death. Rikar is from the latter. Rikar got a very good education at a young age, but pastors and priests felt that his spiritual connections were lacking. As a result, it was difficult for Rikar to achieve good grades, or even impress the women.
When conscription hit, Rikar kept off the main battle line, staying back developing new biological weapons and producing cures for wounded solders. There were many times when Rikar had to fight, but his low rank ensured that every victory was pure luck and fate. Despite this, Rikar would return for an additional 10 years, finally leaving service at the age of 40.
Unfortunately, Rikar had very little ties to church and community, and even though he had a strong education, his weak faith ensured a dead-end job, and a life of solitude. His parents and siblings would visit him from time to time, and he'd offer to babysit the hatchlings of others, but his belief of "I don't need to worship, I don't want to." ensured that others would keep a decent distance away from him. This helped him study the world away from the Dissectors, and pick up a few additional languages.
30 years of what felt like a pointless, powerless existence, Rikar had enough. "Other races have technology far beyond ours." he said. "Their ability to evolve metal in a way that would allow them to fly puts them far above our great god. There is much more to explore, and a possibility to enter the Godless void. I must leave, or eradicate the benevolent creature that dictates our lives." With a hefty savings up, Rikar left, with almost no warning to find a way to escape.
Because this is how I think!
EX-Conscript +2 (Military, very proficient with Bolt-Action and needle Guns. Very strong melee.)
Biochemist +2 (Well established in Biological Sciences. If he can get a look at you, he knows what's up.)
Doctor +1 (This knowledge grands him additional abilities to heal wounds. He's not a doctor by his own race's standards, but he can heal people.)
Imposing figure -1 (Doesn't really help out here.)
Worship -2 (The One is a god. I've never seen it, have you?)
I'd like to give this a shot, from what I understand, every race has a choice of starting here, or being plopped. We'll assume these creatures started, and have been here for quite some time. If this isn't right, however, I can provide some altercations to make him a little more "new" to the world.

Use those spoilers please. But in any case, I have a similar question as to how your character ended up on the planet...or are they already here? If so, I think your character would work just fine being initially here. Just need that to be cleared up.
Hm, I see. Well, I think this mostly checks out for now. Now to just give me about till...3 more days from this post, and we shall get the ball rolling.
[HEADING=1]EVERYONE![/HEADING]
You may all begin thinking up your beginning posts. Frankly, build off your character sheets as it is right now. Either as they just arrive, or begin their plotting to escape the planet. Keep in mind that you will ALL be starting on the same island area at first, and then can split up, (or keep together/form alliances) from there. Largely, you will be landing in the general vicinity of what is generally called "Breakmans Point", largely a gambling and relaxation town with lots of drinking, gambling, and the company of many fine women....of a variety of species. In any case, you will begin crashing/warping/falling/running from around this location, and from there you can guide your next actions on what I post to get things rolling....
Good luck everyone, and I'll see you around Friday.
