Colossal squids are both awesome and terrifying. But they live in deep water, so they never pose a threat to humans. Of course there are always Humboldt squid, which may be small but they can charge at you viciously.

Wiki megaladon. Then thank god we think its extinct....or is it?
Maybe he's down in the pitch black zone with all those other creepy fish that really shouldn't be alive. Like the gulper eel, you should check that crazy guy out.

Oh, I thought of another one - though it's not as scary as a shark is for me - the Shoebill Stork. I looks like the direct descendant of a velociraptor. In fact, it's what made me believe that dinosaurs evolved into birds.

But actually, I'm really scared of whales. Those guys can eat you. Whole.
Actually I'm pretty sure most whales can not swallow anything larger than a grapefruit (Might not be true though. This was something I heard on Animal Planet as a kid, so I might not remember the exact fact).

But I still hate whales.

Thats one ugly bird!

I kinda hope the megaladon is actually alive...Just because an animal that awesome should be here.

What the hell is going on with that eel?!?

Stonefish if I happen to be in the South Pacific.

Anywhere else, tiger and bull sharks. Good thing they can't get through the St. Lawrence lock system...

It is believed that they are able to enter a human urethra only when it is expanded during urination.[9]

Yeah, I'd love to think there's an animal that old still on the planet. We haven't checked Loch Ness for a while... Maybe it's time to check it again?

That eel's a bit mental isn't it? It's mouth's bigger than the rest of its body when it yawns. I love nature :3

There are things down that low in the ocean that have developed their own light beams to see in the pitch black. I'd say more but it's far too incredible for a single paragraph...

Humans

They really are such savage and violent creatures that operate under a self image of self righteousness that blinds them from realising how much horror they are putting this planet through.
This. We humans like to arrogantly think of ourselves as the big bright centre of the Universe and all holier then thou, but at the same time we're capable and have committed atrocities that are beyond all comparison.

Yeah I remember it, I think it was at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, either that or near Japan or something. I loved that series, especially that episode about the deep. It's such an unknown place everything that gets found down there just seems more alien that anything humans themselves can come up with.
