Grave of the Fireflies is the only film that's come close to making me cry.

However even worse than that, worse than saddness and misery and depression was a film that just made me feel empty and dead inside. I mean it's one thing to feel sad, it's another to feel like all hope and joy have been stripped from the world.

So I have to say.

"Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."

Watched: While Prehistoric Bark was a sad episode, I really have to go with Luck of the Fryrish on this one. Futurama is just so touching at times.

Played: Silent Hill 2, by far. James's soliloquy before fighting the two Pyramid Heads was the single most touching, life-changing moment in fiction.

Listened to: The only song to ever make me cry, back when I was 8 or 9, was this:

Last 10 minutes of Letters from Iwo Jima... First time I saw it my dad and I bawled. It still makes me misty-eyed each time i see it.

Captcha: get your goat

The end of Toy Story 3.

When Will Smith?s character has to kill his dog, his last companion, in I am Legend.
For films, definitely this. How could Andy just give them up? They loved him..

For literature, Duncton series. So sad at times, but they're fucking moles. Fucking moles. So many tears shed on fictional moles.

Hm...
Saddest piece of literature: Fallout: Equestria. It sounds silly, but it's 600 000 words of the author raising your hopes, a only to dash them, and making you like the characters, before inflicting all the hallmarks of the fallout universe upon them. Reminds me of A Song of Ice and Fire crossed with the 'party-based journey' approach of say, wheel of time.

Saddest movie. ....
Eh...
I'm...not much of a movie guy. Green Mile, perhaps, or one of the movies where a dog died.

Saddest music: Can't recall anything at the moment, may have repressed it.

Saddest game: Mass Effect series.

I don't know if it's the saddest thing I've ever watched, but Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood episode 10 "Separate Destinations" damn near made me cry. Also "Farewell" by Apocalyptica is one of the saddest songs I know.

Simple question, what is the saddest thing you've ever watched or done in any medium.
Real life: 'bout five to five and half months ago I went to a crime scene for a burglary, the burglars killed the family's two chocolate labs one of which was a puppy. The whole family was in hysterics including their autistic 6 year old who didn't seem to fully grasp 'death'.

Don't worry I caught all the badguys they all got about 3-6 years.

book: when I was a kid bridge to terabithia made me cry pretty bad. Especially since something similar happened to a friend of ours.

I was just about to say almost the same thing, only that it did make me cry.
Everything about this movie is amazing and it portrays such strong emotions.

I think it was only topped by "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". Also a "Must-See".

Sadly only one game ever made me cry and it isn't really a full game.
One of the endings of the Source-Mod "Stanley Parabel" really devastated me. I think I was feeling depressive for at least a week after playing this.

I get quite easily upset. But the most upset I have ever been is when I finished reading Mostly Harmless.

Just to give it some context, The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy is my favourite book series ever, I listened to tapes of it every night from the age of 10 through to fucking 16. Yeah I'm a sadcase but nothing has influenced my life as much as that book. When MEGASPOILER everyone dies, I was mega depressed. I also knew that's not how Douglas Adams would have ended it all. Turns out he was planning to write a sixth book.

I think it's about that time that I properly became an atheist too.

The last episode of Angel Beats!, particularly the last five minutes, or the performance of "Tenshi ni Fureta yo" in K-On!!. These are the only two things that have ever made me actually cry, instead of just tearing up. A solid third is the song "He Ain't Heavy... He's My Brother" by The Hollies.

Well since the final episode of House aired just a few hours ago here in the UK, I'm depressed about that. As you can guess from the avatar, I love that show.

Think the saddest I've ever been during a game was the end of MGS3. Anyone that has played it obviously knows the reason why. Then some bits of ME3
