Anyway, the song of choice is usually Silent Lucidity, by Queensryche(sadly no way of putting in that little mark thing, the name escapes me) or Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.

Not sure about "ever", but saddest song I can think of off the top of my head is Johnny Cash's cover of Trent Reznor's Hurt [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clq01TXQR0s]. So good that Reznor declared that the song was no longer his after he heard Cash's version.

When I saw this topic I also thought of Hurt, but not Cash's version, I thought of Kermit's version. Just seeing Kermit strung out on smack makes ME hurt. :/
