"Well well well, looks like we got ourselves a little aspiring interior designer in our midst!" Max laughed, doing his best to walk up the stairs. He turned round and lightly punched Nathan in the arm. "I'm just playin' dude."

Nathan had a point though. It was a truly beautiful place. Groups of students made their way down highly decorated hallways, various portraits showing off highly-acclaimed ex-students. The floor seemed be lined with a royal navy blue carpet with gold trimmings. There were statues of various magical beings littered thoughout the main hall, each admonished with the inscription: St. Poemandres: Greatness Through Diversity.

Max made his way through the bustling students and came to a halt.

"Here we are folks! The soon-to-be hippest dorm room this side of Poemandres!" he said, slipping the key into the lock and opening the door.

If not good enough just say anyway:

Name: Demonic: Anxyzmendiuz. Human Name: Alexander C. O'Riordan

Age: 17

Sex: Male

Race: Demon

Character Personality: Alex is bookish to a fault. His love of books borders on obsession and is only dwarfed by his love of Mechanics especially sentient clockwork. Very sociable but does not understand basic social norms and tends to get things wrong.

Character Background: The youngest of a family of 13 Alex was born to a Demon Lord father and a Gorgon mother. Due to his position as baby of the family it is accepted that he will not be taking over his Father's estate any time soon and was neglected into the care of the household staff. He identifies himself as being Irish mainly because most of the staff that raised him were from there. Once celebrated St. Patrick's day. Led to the St. Patrick's day celestial incident of 2003. Learned to read at an early age and only stops to work on some new clockwork construct. Due to this bizarre desire his Demonic powers tend to work randomly. Always has a book hidden about his person regardless of the situation he finds himself in.

Character Description: In Human form he is 5'10" tall and has short brown hair. He is of about average build muscle and fat wise. His eyes change colour depending on his mood and are the only sign of his Demonic genes when in Human mode. When in Demon mode he is essentially the stereotypical "Demon from Hell". Usually dresses in clothes a little too big for him and usually of the Formal variety. Only permanent possession is a pocket watch which is also a construct. This construct is the Swiss Army Knife of constructs.

Character Trivia: He prefers gentle music when reading so when doing this Jazz and Classical Music is what he listens to. When working on a construct he likes Rock. His favourite food (When he remembers to eat) is Fillet Steak. He wears a pair of rectangular glasses that have an ability to let him read no matter how bad the light is. The one of his Demonic powers that always works is his ability to warp from a shadow to another shadow anywhere in the world. However he doesn't control it and has been known to turn up in strange places while he was busy reading a book while walking. Can not wear polystyrene. Is allergic to spinach.

Relationships: None.

Sven took his sweet time getting to the room. He'd been to a college dormitory once, though he couldn't remember why, and he was expecting to see something very similar. What he got was... Sven imagined it was something similar to the inside of an older mansion, but on a much grander scale. He tried to move himself towards his dorm, but something always seemed to catch his eyes. I could get used to this.

Eventually, he made it to the door with the numbers 219 carved into the door. There were a lot of other ornate carvings on the door, mostly leaves and vines and birds. Half of him wondered to himself, Who did this, and why hasn't the school replaced the door? but the other half just wanted to stop and stare at it for a while. Maybe that's what she meant by "lucky." He was so enamored by it he didn't hear the footsteps behind him.

The dorm room was a wide open space, with the doors opening up to a main living area. A couch and a few chairs surrounding a plain wooden coffee table where in the center of the room, with a few hallways leading out from it.

A kitchen was to the left, with a small dining area and to the right down a long hallway were four bedrooms.

A large bay window also greeted them, looking out onto the forest before them.

"Wow" said Nathan, looking around before taking a seat in one of the chairs

"This is a sweet place"

Yeh, I'd let him in.

3 Hours Later, Somewhere over the Atlantic

~Carry on my Wayward son
~There'll be peace when you are done
~Lay your weary head to rest
~Don't you cry no more!
The lid of the box opened, flooding the stuffy space with light and fresh air. Lillith threw a hand up to protect her eyes, the florescent airplane lights were incredibly bright compared to the small backlight of the iPod she had been staring at for 3 hours. Her eyes had grown accustomed to the poor lighting, and now she had to get used to proper lights again...

The decaying man, whom had identified himself as Mister Blue during their departure, appeared in the light and stared down into the box at her. Lillith pulled the headphones off and listened intently. So far she had been fairly entranced in the experience, forgetting exactly why she was on the trip in the first place. "So how have you been so far? Anything to complain about?"

"Hungry... The last thing I had to eat was..." She stopped before she went onto say, suddenly remembering why, and Mister Blue nodded subtly.

"Don't worry, Miss DeVtoe. You should take your mind off things. We're currently in the air and have several more hours to go until we reach America. Now, do you have any preference for foods or...?"

She shrugged.

"Very well. Might I suggest that if you feel the need to stretch your tail, you do so now, and stay in the confines of the cargo hold. We don't want anyone to get up in arms about snakewomen on planes, you understand?"

She nodded and pulled herself out of the box. "I get it. Just... leave me alone for a while. I have to... go..."

"Go where?"

Lillith shot him a look. "Oh! Yes, of course. You'll have to excuse me. Being dead has certain perks that make one forget what you living types have to deal with. I'll leave you to your business." He semi-bowed, leaving her in the cargo hold alone.

She looked around, hoping to spy a decent spot to 'go about her business.' There was a likely looking place, hidden deep in the back of the hold, and with a few clothes she managed to find in a different box (which would now go to a very angry Mister T J Maxx, whoever that was) that she spread everywhere was made into a good place.

She sat upon the clothes and... 'went' (For everyone's mind to stay intact I am not describing this. It's bad enough me knowing how she would 'go'.) She cleared the mess with more clothes, which she put back into the box, and then she slithered back over to her own unmarked box.

She waited for about five minutes, in which she listened to the rest of 'Carry on Wayward Son', before Mister Blue returned with a bag of assorted sweets. She stole a few, eating them, wrappers and all, before Mister Blue lectured her about them having to last the rest of the journey.

She reentered the unmarked box, happily returning to the darkness with her sugary treats and shiny musical trinkets.

Hehe. References. Find them all for prizes! [sub][sub][sub]Prizes may or may not be figments of Revolverwolf's broken imagination.[/sub][/sub][/sub]

"Oh, hey," Rochelle said. "I'm Rochelle Novassa." As she spoke, she felt a strange force in her mind, something that attracted her to Jon. She blinked and shook her head to try to clear it.

I'm for letting him in. but ya might want to change your race name or perhaps just a different species, or how you appear, I've already kinda designed the standard demon. It's up to you.

Sam walked in past Nathan and Max into the wide room.
"I call a double bed!" Sam said as he walked up to the window, looking out across the grounds.

"We will need to get a window box or a sun lamp how do you grow that stuff anyway?"
Sam looked at Max expecting an answer.

Max smiled and slyly tapped the side of his nose. He had been asked how he'd made his WonderStrain many times before, and he'd always kept it a secret. If people knew that they could make this shit themselves under the right circumstances, then how the Hell was he supposed to make money?

"If I told you that, then that would take all the fun out of it! Trust me." he said, offering Sam a warm grin.

Turning round, he looked outside the window and gazed longigly at the forest. Trees lined with small birds swayed in the gentle breeze, brightly dazzling in the bright sunshine. Small paths serpentined thoughout the shrubbery, some old and weathered. He was about to turn round when his eyes caught something. A large clearing, roughly a mile wide, lay somewhere near the center of the forest. It was largely flat, blades of grass catching the light as the wind hit them.

If there was ever a spot for a party, that's got to be it he thought, smiling widely.

He made his way over to his bed. In one firm tug, he dragged the matress off it's simple wooden frame and dragged it over to the center of the room, placing it directly under the glorious rays of sunshine. Grinning, he placed his lute against the wall and stood back, his hands placed on his hips.

"Home sweet home!" he exclaimed, turning round to Nathan and Sam.

"You guys let me know when you're set up and I'll break out the pipe. As roomies, you're all entitled to free Grass, so long as I'm in the room. If you want more to share with you're other friends, you gotta buy it off me. A dudes gotta make his money after all." he said, before breaking into another chuckle.

More fuel for the imagination, to use whenever you need it.
This time, I have decided to check out some of the new "NPC generators" I made for this game and similiar ones. Using many, many rolls of the dice, I am going to now create, completely in random, ten non-player characters, from their hair colour to their weird hobbies. They will all be other students, around your age, and will probably be best used as either extras, minor characters, or relationship raw material. I am going to create about ten and post a few each time. I think, maybe four per post. Whenever I feel like it. Hope you will be able to get something out of this. I try to think of this whole thing as a sort of an experimant: can a character be good in which's creation no thaught was invested?
Interesting question.

1. Fred: a frankenstein's monster's type. Sewn together from many corpse parts and brought to life by a mad-scientist/alchemist person. He is kind of short and chubby, a bit dwarflike, you would say. Appeareance pretty boring: black hair, brown eyes, slightly tan skin. Wears a pair of glasses. He is a very logical person, but also a very moral one. Alwayes puts others before himself, alwayes looks at the bigger picture. You know the type. Thinks of himself as somewhat of a paramour, but(somewhat unsurprisingly) still lacks a girlfriend, since he is actually not as good as he thinks. He has a pet in his room: a sealed box from which emits strange noises at times. Whatever is in there feeds on live rats, but he won't tell anybody what exactly it IS.

2. Lizzy: A ghost, only recently dead. She used to hunt a small, brown notebook, but since moving to the school the resident necromancer(of course the school has a necromancer, don't be silly. It has a nurse, does it not?) has made sure to free her of her physical anchor, so now she can kind of just float around moving through walls and stuff. Very short and a bit on the skinny side. Drowned to death, so is unfortunatly alwayes cold and soaking wet. She tries to solve the problem by alwayes wearing very heavy coats and scarves and the like, but it does not help much. Very pale skin(a bit bluish, perheps?), brown eyes and relatively short, black hair. A very proud person: very calm, very aloof, very distance. Turns to cynicism when nervous. Can be annoying at times, with that. Spends her free time reading very cheesy romance novels.

3. Carl: what some would call an "awakned philosopher". Discovred something so deep and so amazing about the nature of reality, the universe, and the meaning of existance that he gained the ability to warp reality in some ways. His discovery was mathematical in nature, and like all Awakned he was sworn by some forces beyond to never reveal it to anyone. Whatever it was, it allows him to control space and time. To a certain measure, at least. He is not very good at that. Very tall and very skinny(his posture is all wrong), messy blonde hair and a dreamy look on his blue eyes. Skin, as expected, is extreamly pale. Silent, polite, nice to be around, thaugh not very interesting. Like many of them ultra-geniuses, he kind of leaved in a completely other world of theoretical numbers and abstract god knows what. Has the attention span of a dyslectic squirrel, and has trouble focusing on anything except higher maths for more then two seconds. This, naturally, includes other people, or where he is going, or what the time is.

4. Helen: One of those quiessential "popular girl"s. You know them and you hate them. Beutiful, arrogant, rich, is generally better then you and would like you to know that. Has a pack of loyal female minions and a horde of drooling male fans. Tall, but not freakishly so. Just full enaugh to be pretty. Pale skin, dark hair, dark eyes. Werewolf by bite, and very disturbed at the fact(Which makes sense, I think. Few things can ruin your "idol of perfection" image like growing fur and fangs and eating live rabbits so and so times per month). Would like you very much to not mention it at all. Maybe it's something of a willing delusion, you know. Pretending that things are normal even thaugh you are surrounded by trolls and golems and zombies and stuff.
Plays chess on occasions. Is actually quite good.
Might be into girls(or maybe that's just a cruel rumor, seems quite likely here).

As the Sun burst through the windows, the clouds moving the beams of light hit Sam. He leapt backwards falling over the couch and onto the floor.
"Watch It!" he yelled, "bright sunlight burns me!".
Sam rolled over then walked into the kitchen avoiding the direct sunlight, he looked in the fridge to find it fully stocked but with no alcohol, standing up he brought his hands down on the work-surface with a bang.
"Right, we are building a 'Still'", he anounched.

Nathan walked to the first bedroom and kicked it open, looked around and then a large duffle bag appeared on the floor. Reaching inside he took out a smooth piece of pointed white wood, about as thick as a pencil, and slipped it into his pants

"I'm set up" he said, slamming the door closed, and looking it around the room some more.

"Looks spacious...very nice. Could use some decorations but overall, its better than most"

Carolina smiled warmly, at least he seams nice, she thought hopefully. "Very cool, I was wondering who was going to have to deal with me all year," she said playfully. "I'm Carolina. Oh! So sorry about having to knock by the way, but I've seemed to have left my key and yah..." she said trailing off. Following Dillon back in the room she plopped herself down on the couch and started going through her photos, quickly editing out ones. "So Dillon, if you don't mind me asking what brought you here?" she asked glancing a moment up at him. Elf probably, pointed ears and all, but wow, what striking eyes... she thought after getting a second look at him.

Haha, I read your post before I saw the OOC and I laughed. Oh D'grass, him and Max are going to create quite a pair. :p

Dillon watched interestedly as Carolina fiddled with her camera, but looked away solemnly when he realised that he'd have to explain some of his past. "Well...........there were some incidents.........I don't really like talking about it. Let's just say it's too dangerous for me to be left around the rest of society."

He brought his gaze back up to Carolina's face, realising that he needed to warn her about his traits before it was too late. "Speaking of which, there's some things I need to tell you; things I need to explain."
Trying to not seem like too much of a downer, he produced a small smile. "But that can wait a little while. So, why are you here?"

Carolina looked up at Dillon puzzled but didn't press on, we all have our secrets. "As long as you aren?t planning on eating me I think we'll be fine," she said with a small laugh. "I came here because, well long story short my parents thought it would be best for a change of scenery," she said, choosing her words carefully, knowing that it was only the half-truth. "Hold it right there!" She stood up quickly, stood next to him, and took a quick candid photo of the two of them, offering a warm smile for the camera. Looking back at the display, she shrugged her shoulders, "Eh, it will do. I hope you don't mind I just like to document everything in pictures and I felt it fitting. Don't worry though; I don't ruin the picture too much." She sat back down on the couch, pulling her legs under her, "Speaking of informing each other, I think it only fitting if I told you I was a doppelganger. I understand if you want to change roommates, I know we tend to make most...nervous," she said using her camera as a distraction from having to look at him. At her previous schools, she had multiple roommates demand dorm changes and even some went as far as asking for a class change.

"Well, I'm going to see who else is on our floor"

Nathan said, walking out into the hallway

Hmmmm...where to go?

He wondered looking around before looking towards 358.

Nathan knocked on the door, curious at who his floor mates were

Dillon was taken by surprise by Carolina's sudden photo-shoot, and found himself racking his brains to remember if they had made contact during it. "No, it's okay. I don't think she touched me..."
He sat down on the sofa next to her and looked at her thoughtfully. "A doppelganger, huh?"
Dillon's father had told him about them once, when he was younger, but he had never actually met one before now. "So..........that body? It's not yours really, is it? Well, that's okay with me. You seem like a nice person overall - you can't help what you were born as."
He traced his finger along the arm of the sofa, before looking up into his roommate's eyes. "Listen, Carolina, there's something you need to understand about me. I'm what's called a Glancanagh - a faerie of sorts. Usually we Glancanagh can control our powers, but I was never able to."
He pulled his knees up to his chin and rested his head on them. "Whenever a girl makes contact with my skin they become addicted - they develop an uncontrollable........desire. It tears them apart. I don't want that to happen to you. You have to try your very best to not make contact with my bare skin. Please Carolina - I really don't want to see anybody else get hurt because of me."

As memories start flooding into his mind, his eyes started welling up, but he brushed the tears away before they became too noticeable. he didn't want his new roommate to see him crying on the first day they met. He wanted their time together to be enjoyable, not depressing. He nodded at the camera and tried to change the subject. "So.........you're a photographer, huh?"

Just then, there was a knock on the door. "Oh, uh.........I better get that." he said, hopping off the couch and walking to the door. He pulled it open and gasped when he saw a bare skeleton standing on the other side. "Oh, sorry - I wasn't expecting......... Well hi, I'm Dillon. And you are.....?"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I'm Nathan from down the hall"

Nathan extended a bony hand from the holds of his hoodie, straightening out the black fabric as he did

"Just wanted to see who else my mates and I are sharing this floor with and your room appears to be the only other one occupied"

Carolina's heart soared. He had heard of my kind but doesn't care. He does not care. It was the first time that had happened, most other people she had known only pretended to be her friend out of fear or because they were one too. Then he said something that threw her off even more. She racked her brain for the word Glancanagh, trying to remember if she had read anything about them. However, before she could comment on it, she watched silently as he seemed to shrink into the couch, upset and hurt. His past must really have been something horrible. She started to bend forward to give him a reassuring hug but stopped herself, remembering what he had said. She slowly leaned back. Trying to think of a way to lighten the mood she almost didn't hear the knock at the door. Another roommate possibly? But there?s only two rooms. Placing her camera down on the small wooden coffee table she started to stand up. ?Yes, well technically no. I just like to take photos, you know, to be able to capture the beauty and feelings of a moment forever. That sounded a lot cheesier said aloud,? she admitted biting her lip as she followed him to the door. She was surprised to see the skeleton boy who had helped her earlier standing there. ?Oh hi again! This was, Nathan I believe" she said unsure of herself, "He was the one who helped with the map earlier."
