@Oneirius: Jon may be physically frail, but never underestimate someone who can outfight you by making you think he's stronger than you!

Oh, and just to point out, the bigger the change a faerie makes, the more likely it is you will suffer for it. (Eg if he strengthens an emotion or distracts you, it's not much, but if he makes you totally change your mind, it could be nasty)

"Not much, I don't think" Jon remarked to the liche, "Honestly, I had the same question in mind myself; I too was late"

RAGE

It came almost as a physical force, and Jon knew that nearby, someone was very angry, and worse, at him. This could be problematic, and Jon didn't want to do anyone an injury by forcing their mind into a u-turn against it's will.

"Hello Sven, coming to speak to Jon here?"

Jon spun round, expecting this Sven to be the source of anger, but evidently it wasn't; he would have been dead by now if it was, as his mind was shaped to toward that of a wolf.

"What can I do for you... Sven?" he asked, cautiously, "Is someone... upset?"

Sam heard Lillith's shouting and walked around the corner, nodding to Max as he walked away.
He wondered round the corner to see Jon Nathan and company with Lillith fuming, with Sven squareing up the the faerie.
"Hey guys, you might want to take this domestic elsewhere," aware of the emptying hall.
Sam stepped directly into the angered Lamia's path spreading his wings and braceing himself as Sven let go.

Sven nodded at Nate and gave a small chuckle after Jon asked his question. "Upset? Try downright pissed. I don't know what happened with the lamia last night, and I'm not entirely sure I want to know, but she found out about your mind-altering abilities, and all of a sudden she wants to rip your head off. I was there to stop her this time, but..." Sven stopped for a few seconds to think before continuing. "You need to use a little more discretion about those powers."

Rochelle hurried over to join Sven and Jon. "Sven's right, Jon. I don't know why, but Lillith clearly doesn't like what you can do to her. And now that I come to think of it, nor do I. I have no way of resisting your mind games. You're a good guy and all, but you can't just go around changing how people think. What if you get carried away and eventually force someone to do something?"

Her eyes remained locked onto Jon, even when Sam stepped into her way. She didn't look up to him, instead raising herself with her tail until she stood a head taller than he did, piercing directly into his eyes with a deathly stare. "Move. Now," she ordered, her voice replaced with a raspy hiss.

Sam placed his hand on her stomach underneath her cloths, "Cool it, final warning, or you are going to be very, very sore in the morning."
His tail ignited as he became aware of the anger focused currently on him, his eyes and horns changing also.

She felt his hand against her stomach and, looking down, saw that he had slipped his hand into her shirt. Looking back up she hissed, "You must have a death wish, demon."

She grabbed his wrist, twisting it upwards and away. This forced the demon to turn, as doing anything else would cause his arm to snap in at least 3 places. And then she started crushing his wrist. "You would be wise to never try that again."

If she was in her right mind, she would have stopped herself. She would have let go of the demon's wrist right there and run to her room... But Lillith wasn't there. It was the instinct again.

Sam's eyes turned crimson, the flame now extending to his wings, he roared the seven hells echoing from his outburst of fury. He kicked out into the side of Liliths head, she let go stunned, and he span he grabbed her around the waist.
"Lets go then, *****."
There was a flash of fire and smoke, Sam held on tight as he pulled Lilith with him, the desent was not a happy one. In his head he was in Tartarus, where it was to late to do good deeds, where your fate was sealed.
Landing sprawled on the floor his arm grazed the solid stone, the sky was ablaze as he climbed to his feet, Lilith was lieing on the floor a short distance away. Sam began to stride towards her, pulling her up he slapped her across the face.
"Are you calm yet?" bringing his hand back for another blow, "Well! Do you see where you are! Do you!"

Nathan walked causally between Sam and Lilith, holding one hand up to each of them

"Stop"

He said simply

"This was between Lilith and Jon, for the two of them to talk it over. So talk and we can all walk away from this"

I like Quad's post more, since it lets Lillith be nice for a bit longer and it contains stuff more at home in this RP than a hellish nightmare realm of sub-existence, so I'll be continuing from that one. Sorry Alo, but can you just delete that post? I'll be editing this in a sec.

Sam looked down at the hand on his chest, the corridor swam back into focus, he loosen his grip and came up to earth. He went out, the stone on the floor solidifying and he calmed down.
"Ok, Nathan, sorry." he said quietly.

Dillon watched quietly Carolina's side at the commotion that was unfolding in the hall. He would help, but he found it much more interesting to see how the situation was playing out; how it was handled by the others. Besides, there was enough people getting involved as it was.
But as he saw the situation escalating, he began to worry slightly. "Maybe I should step in... A few calm words and a.........soothing tone might help sort this..."
Though Dillon wasn't as in touch with his faerie abilities as most were, he could still manage to layer his voice with calm for a while; take the edge off the situation. He quickly dispelled the notion, not wanting to draw attention to himself while tempers were raised all around. "No... It's not your problem. Let them sort it."

He leaned over and whispered in Carolina's ear. "Hey, wanna get out of here for a while? Go for a walk outside until everything calms down a bit... We can be back in time for this party thing or whatever."

Carolina had watched the events unfold as if it was some type of a movie almost. She flinched, her eyes shutting tight, as Sam kicked Lilith, the sound sending shivers down her spine as memories flooded back. She was never one for violence, since her mother?s first marriage, but she didn?t want the others to see how much the fighting bothered her.

A vase flew across the room from a large hand, cracking and breaking into little shards as it slid to the trailer floor. ?You *****! Thinking you can go running off with whomever you?d like and leaving me to prepare dinner by myself! You?re lucky I don?t leave right now,? said the voice as the hand closed around her mother?s neck. ?Maybe if I snap you?re pretty little neck you won?t run away so much, hmm? You skank,? finished the voice spitting in her face. ?Carolina, get me a beer while I teach you?re no good mother a lesson,? continued the voice followed by a hard sound of flesh on flesh. Carolina could never remember her real father, the one who made her and her mother?s life a living hell. He was faceless except for his voice and his hands. They always threw things and hit her mother, never her though. No Carolina, snap out of it. He?s gone and you?re safe. Dad, you?re real dad, fixed it all. That was the past, let it go already, you?re being selfish again, looking for pity, she thought, chastising herself for being so weak again.

Dillon?s voice finally brought her away from the small 4-room trailer scene. She was back at the school, in the hallway. She gave Dillon a half-smile, hoping he wouldn?t see past her façade. She hated how sheepish she got around people fighting; it showed how weak she was. ?Sure, I?m not sure where anything is though to be honest. Is there anywhere in particular you?d like to head to?? she asked, forcing herself to advert her eyes from the others and her tone even and light.

"Anything is better than here right now, don't you think?" he said with a hint of a sigh.
He thought for a second that it looked like something was bothering her, but it passed and he didn't really want to inquire. Whatever was wrong, there was no good in asking about it; bringing her down. "The grounds are nice, especially at this time."
He smiled reassuringly at her, starting off in the direction of the school's front doors. "Might be a good opportunity for some photos."

?The grounds sound wonderful, I?m just glad I remembered to throw my camera in my bag before we left,? Carolina said, pulling her camera out of her messenger bag, which was haphazardly thrown over her shoulder. Photography was one of the things she had always loved, and pulled her out of whatever funk she was in. ?Are you into any form of art?? she asked as she snapped a quick candid of Dillon walking. Candid?s were always her favorite, so raw and real. They had reached a pair of large oak French doors leading outside. She pushed against one with her entire body before it gave way. A small breeze chilled the fall air that was still warm. She felt a genuine smile make its way across her face as she walked out. Fall had a certain scent to it, and it was one of her favorites, next to orange. A small cobbled walkway curved into multiple directions, some leading to buildings, others to other parts of the grounds.

Dillon chuckled a bit at Carolina's content as he followed her out the door.
"Well I can draw well enough." he answered with a shy smile. "When I can find time. It's what I spent most of my childhood doing. Just drawing people, trees, animals - anything really. It makes me feel calm. Especially when I find a nice quiet spot to do it in."
He looked down the various paths from where they stood, contemplating where they might lead. "So, where to? We could always go down the less travelled route." he grinned, nodding at the vast expanse of land not blemished by footpaths. "I find that's always more interesting."

?I shall be telling this with a sigh/ Somewhere ages and ages hence:/ Two roads diverged in a wood, and I?/ I took the one less traveled by,/ And that has made all the difference,? Carolina recited before meekly looking down, blushing. ?Sorry, Frost is one of my favorite poets,? she said as they made their way through the path not taken before them. ?I wish I could draw,? she mused as they walked. ?Never got used to one body?s appendages fast enough though. You?re right though,? she said looking over at Dillon, ?photography always did that for me too, making me calm I mean. You wouldn?t mind show me some of your drawings sometime, would you?? she asked hopeful. ?I mean, don?t feel pressured to, I?m just curious,? she said, busying herself by capturing the image of a small bird poking its head amongst a willow branch at them into her camera.

"No, I'd be happy to show you." he assured, his eyes watching the grass below as they wandered through it. "There's a whole bag full of my old sketchbooks up in my room. I hate throwing them away - I always feel a little sad when I do."
He kicked at some leaves before him as he walked, the gentle breeze snatching them from the air and carrying them away. "So you're into poetry as well, huh? Quite the artistic type, I see."
He gave her a little teasing grin, before looking around at their surroundings. "How about we go to the lake - I haven't been there yet. I always enjoy being near the water. I guess I just like to look at it..."
