Chaz stood up to address Jeffery. "Alright to clear things up, I get chased, but does this thing have any preferences? Blond? Brunette? Dark?" He changed his hair color respectively to illustrate. "Female? Hopefully not, though. That's a ***** of a change to go through."

"ummm for this thing all you need to be is alive and I`m not even sure that`s a definite...but by all means change into whatever makes you feel comfortable" Jeffery replied smirking slightly at the incubus' display of shapeshifting.

finding the incantation for the banishment ritual he wrote it down on a separate piece of paper and put it in his pocket leaving his spellbook in his suitcase, "alright I`m all ready to hunt this thing down, do what you need to get ready and if necessary make peace with your gods" Jeffery announced leaning against a nearby table ordering yet another scotch on the rocks to steady his nerves.

"I almost feel obliged to do it now." Chaz changed back to his base form. "So how do you want me to do this-- DAMMIT THAT SCREAMING IS FUCKING ANNOYING!" The monsters screams seemed like they were getting louder. "Anyway, so run around through the halls until it starts following me, then? Sounds like a foolproof plan to me, wizard."

"you know if I did`nt need to use you as bait I`d have beat the crap outta you by now" Jeffery replied the incubus' sarcasm starting to get to him.

"but yeah the plan is basically that except all you`ll be doing is sitting just outside the corridor in a patch of darkness I`l set up and then using some candles we`ll turn out the lights here and re-illuminate the room save for a corridor of darkness to the center of this room, then when you lure it into the center of this room miss light-bender over there will flood the room with light save for one little patch where the demon is and then you get this bag of salt and pour it around said patch trapping it, then I`l do the incantation and banish it...did you get all of that?" Jeffery explained taking another gulp of his scotch.

"Uh, not really. So stand around and wait to get mauled is basically the extent of what I heard. Maybe get the chance to run off into a magic incantation circle and possibly have the honor of getting exiled with that thing. I can't wait to not see my hard work come to fruition." Chaz was rolling his eyes at Jeffery. To Chaz this plan seemed like suicide for him.

"oh don`t worry you`ll be perfectly fine...given you can run fast enough, I can perform this incantation correctly and that the witch manages to keep this room bathed in light long enough" Jeffery said laughing slightly at the end of his sentence, finishing off his glass of scotch and setting it down on a nearby table.

"I have complete faith in your plan, wizard." Chaz walked over to the hallway leading to the theater and arcade. "So just stand here, then?" He pointed at a specific point in the floor.

"yep pretty much, but not yet I need your help setting up the candles for the trap" Jeffery said jumping over the bar and walking into the supply`s for the dining room, taking out two boxes of candles, handing one to the incubus and opening the other himself as he started placing them down one side of the opening to the corridor reaching the center of the room before running out of candles.

"you wanna help or are you just gonna stand there?" Jeffery asked crouching down to light the candles with a small fireball from his hand.

Kohana had dragged her bag behind the bar, and now cowered there herself, her arms clenched around the present her brother had given her in the helicopter, chewing on another handful of the narcotic leafs, her eyelids getting heavier by the second.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Chaz started placing candles one by one directly across from Jeffery's. When he was done, he, too, started lighting the candles with fireballs. They were even smaller then Jeffery's, and sometimes he even failed the spell, but eventually they were all lit. Afterwards, he stepped over the line and positioned himself onto the spot he had pointed to earlier. "Again to rehash, run down this line when I start to feel something gashing at my throat, right?"

"yeah pretty much, or you could run when you see two glowing red eyes in the darkness so you don`t get part of you torn off, but whatever as long as you manage to get it to the end of this corridor" Jeffery said pointing to the end of corridor of darkness, then grabbing another bag of salt and pouring it along the edge of the candles, merely as another line of defense so the demon does`nt escape.

Catalina looked up, her sensitive ears picking up the screams, her mind flooded with confusion then understanding, she jumped to her feet and she summoned her globes of light, "SHIT! That was Helen!"

Jeffery immediately turned around from his table and quickly recited the incantation for a wall of impregnable glass which he created around the entrance of the lounge he kept his hand held out in order to maintain the spell.

"Are you an idiot?, it`s nothing but darkness out there, as far as we know there are no sources of light left on the ship besides here, if you go out there it`s as good as suicide and we need you for this plan to work, if she`s in the darkness...then she`s as good as dead" Jeffery explained quickly and calmly, trying to maintain a level head himself.

Catalina looked at Jeffery, fury clouding her eyes and her judgment, she motioned to the globes of light, "I'll be perfectly fine, now, I'm going to go see if she's alive."

Catalina walked to a wall and blew a hole in it before walking through it, she sealed it back up behind her and she started racing to where she had heard Helen screaming, the globes of light just ahead of her. She rounded the corner to where Helen lay, then she slipped up and crashed into a table, she lost her concentration and the globes of light winked from existence.

Catalina regain her senses in a few seconds and she looked around in the darkness when she saw two red eyes and the faint infrared glow of its body just as it charged her. She screamed and raised her arms to protect her eyes and she felt its claws rake into her belly, piercing the skin but not doing to much damage. She summon the globes of light through the pain and the beast fled. Catalina lost consciousness a few seconds later, but the globes of light remained, dancing around her.

You actually do homework? I've been boycotting that shit for the whole damn semester.

"Dammit, this is getting out of fucking hand!" Chaz started to follow Catalina but stopped. "Hell, I can't defend myself from whatever that thing is, and from how the wizard described it it'll kill the shit out of me! I can't even cast basic spells with utmost certainty that they won't fizzle! But, dammit, Cat went and from what I've seen she doesn't even have any offensive magic in the first place. But then again if it comes this way they'll need me to get it into a circle. Oh, damn you conflicting expectations!"

Chaz begun to follow Catalina again. After several attempts he managed to summon a handgun into his open palm. It took him another minute to realize that he didn't know where he was going. "God dammit!" The monster must have heard him, for its screams began to chase Chaz. He sprinted back to the common room where they had set the trap, and then he ducked and rolled out of the salt circle. "Now, man," he screamed. "Get that thing before it jumps out!"

Looking back I probably should have done a little bit. Ah well, my grades aren't too bad. Not that I've checked.
