The game is rated 18+... 14 >! 18, therefore you can't legally play it.

Just get it off the net like everyone else, or get someone's older sibling to buy it like we did back in the day.
There is no law preventing people from buying an 18+ game, that is the store's policy.

Recently, i went to purchase Saint's row 2 due to yahtzee's recommendation but the store clerk told my mom it was like grand theft auto so she refused to let me buy it. The real problem she has is with sexual content and i was wondering is there really enough sexual/objectional content to prevent me from buying it?
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Mama is one of "those" parents. Cant help you there.
any idea on how to convince her?
Ask her where babies come from.

the only sexual content in that game is the strip clubs, theres some cleevage and hookers on the streets. not as bad as gta.
There's also the Escort missions where you drive clients around with prostitutes in the backseat (in co-op the other player actually performs sexual favors), there's the Pimpin' diversion, there's the streaking diversion...

And yes, there's strip clubs. So there's a LOT more overt sexual content than GTA.
sure theres sounds but not like theres visuals like wat gta give u

There is less sexual content than Gta, also Your parents are stupid man. Here they are saying ohh no games with sexual content in them and you probably have jurked off, what inosense are they trying to protect? (If you are young and asking for an M game fuck of, I work at E.B. games and seeing 6 year olds tug on thier parents arm for gears two and condemed piss me off)

I once managed to convince my parents that a game was rated 18+ because of the difficulty. Not sure if that'll work with Saints Row 2 though...
Wow, why didn't I ever think of that?

Seriously, my parents were always cool about that though. Strangley enough, the only time my parents ever objected over a game was Rainbow Six:Vegas. Not GTA (although they made it clear they didn't like it), not F.E.A.R, not Halo, RBS:V. Go figure.

Sexual content bothers her? And you're 14? Man, I lost my virginity at 13. What is the deal with some of these parents? I'll never understand why sex is worse than violence in their eyes.

Anyway, no. There is no objectionable content. Just some moaning and censored nudity.

Thats pretty legendary.

I love being tall having a deap voice and facial hair at the age of 15.
I am short but have facial hair at 20 and still get carded everytime. I swear they be discriminating against us short people.
I get carded EVERYWHERE, I went to see Friday the 13th and the guy asked for my I.D. then looked at my 17 year old friend (I'm 19) and said Oh, are you with him? Go on through.

ON TOPIC: Seriously, ask an older friend or a friend's sibling buy it for you. Or go to a store that doesnt ID customers.

And Just FYI, The ESRB guidelines are just that, guidelines. The only reason stores won't sell outside the age rating is store policy to preserve their Image. It's not illegal in any way.

I could always prove that a given game wasn't bad by making a report about how it got it's rating from media scandals, unrealistic expectations, user generated content, and and the importance of context in a each games situation. usually along with links and references. Of course, I never tried something as bad as SR2, it's pretty brazen.

I once just started to explain to my mom how GTA isn't as bad as it's often made out to be (I wasn't even trying to get it, it just came up in conversation) She practically burst at the seams before cutting me off.

I'm sorry but you're not allowed to buy that game you're under 18 I know this is a tool thing to say but if gamers are trying to break the stereotype that we destroy the minds of little kids then we need to make these rules more strict.
