Now, we're all well aware that Saint's Row is never about the story, but unless my disk has a really lame glitch that makes half the cutscenes simply not happen, there are a lot of chunks of the story that are missing-example Gat. Johnny, ****ing, Gat. That's all I'm saying about that kettle of fish. Who's Angel? Why do I care? Why do I care if Killbane is dead/alive? Who's Zimos? Why do I care if the Dewinter Sisters end up dead or survive and lose their empire with the Morning Star Porn Ring? Kenzie's really the only one who was half assedly characterised, she's a shut in, a really, really, really REALLY sheltered shut in. She was entertaining and actualy seemed to(Albeit only loosely) take part in a fair portion of the missions. What happened to having them ride along and assist you in a way only they can? (SR2 example being Carlos ride-along with Maerrow , Gat and the Ronin(Good times) or Shaundi and Veteran Child?) Wheres the Mr. Sunshine of Saint's Row 3? Wheres a good solid **** that makes you just wanna **** **** up? They "killed" gat off screen, no funeral, only one hint at whether or not he's actually dead and the world just keeps on spinning. Shaundi's pissed the **** off for a good part of the beginning and suddenly she's cut out from the game completely, what the **** happened there? What about Oleg? He looked like fun, could've had some Tag-Team Mayhem missions with him, ride on his back while he throws cars around, keep the cops at a safe distance from him, show us he's as intelligent as he seems, claiming Kinzie is an "intellectual equal".(My appologies for the seeming inconsistency.)
As for the gameplay itself, I can be virtually invincible...Really? Don't get me wrong, I'll not soon get sick of jumping off my penthouse suite in an attempt to end it all only to realise "...**** me I can't die from falling...rofl"
I can drop all noteriety by calling Burt ****ing Reynolds, or the Abilities for gang/cop noteriety and by entering a Buiding I own?(I admit, the last one doesn't bother me that much, it's nice to see the stuff I own have a purpose, but calling it in? Come on...At least with buildings they're relatively far apart, you do have to chuck some distance to make it effective and it becomes a risk/rewards)
Unlimited Clip, this I dont mind as much, it's kindof fun to just shoot seemingly forever with explosive shells, but from a practical standpoint with SR3's noterity being decetively simple to...turn off? It kinda ruins the fun of it.
Vehicle Homie-I don't know if this is a glitch or if I owe him money or something, but 90% of the time I can't rely on him to deliver my vehicle, mind you he drives better then the SR2 one who frequently gets lost, pisses off the cops and drives off in MY Bezier, but w/e at least he's semi reliable.
No mission replay-Seriously? I mean...what was it cut for time purposes? Do you get paid money for having someone play the game from ero? Do you WANT us to sell our copy to Gamestop?
PGSERC-Real let down, by the trailers it looked awesome, like an entire side mission that could take hours, not minutes, to complete fully(Yes, FULLY) and btw, who IS Proffessor Genki? How does his show continue to exist? Where does he get his mascots? How does he get away with paying so little for what essentially amounts to a high risk/low reward hitman job?
Weapon upgrades-It sounds good on paper, in practice not so much, so I can upgrade my weapons one way, can't find secret unlocks by doing...w/e I damn well please and I'm stuck with them...So if I go with a homeing rocket launcher before I finish Guardian Angel I might just be ****ed because of the Splash Damage it deos to Kinzie's Car...Good times.
The Pros, yes, there are some.
The driving- A lot smoother, not fond of RT/LT, favor A/B so I can do on the road shooting, but since it was essentialy unnessesary I'm fine with that.
The Action Button-Appoca Fist+Random peds+Action Button, good times. STAG+Apoca Fist+Action button, OP as **** Action Button+random vehicle in Movement=Lethal, dunno if that's a glitch or working as intended, but **** me I died to it a lot.
The City itself-It's nice, expansive, new, fairly well designed, overall I can't complain.
Overall it's a good game, I do enjoy it, I probably won't clock in nearly as much time in Steelport as Stilwater due to the afformentioned complaints, but it was enjoyable while it lasted. I was ready to give it a solid 9.5 maybe more until I started playing it, then the little things added up, became big things. Overambition leads to dissapointment all around, that's why you don't pick up 5 girls in one night at the club boys, odds are good you won't get it up enough times to please em all. If I could offer my honest oppinion for Saint's Row 4...Don't half ass the story, no, this isn't GTA, but by that same token if you're going to give context for why I'm riding in a car with a tiger that continues to maul me without letting me put a bullet in it's face, you can't half ass the fact that one of the leads from the past 2 games mysteriously "dies" off screen. Also, if you're going to do foreshadowing(The guitarist) follow through with it, don't ****ing DLC it, DLC is a nice addon to the main game, don't cut corners like it's crunch time at the circle factory. PS, I ****ing love my Racist little Octopus Launcher, though some backstory on why the octopi keep appologising to Proffessor Genki would be solid.

I'll admit it reads more like a letter to the editor but w/e. Your thoughts? Are you pro-SR3 or Anti Sr3? Or just plain moot?
