You see, this right here [http://money.cnn.com/2011/03/22/real_estate/doomsday_bunkers/index.htm?hpt=C2], this is my zombie plan. I can only imagine so many ways that a commercial for selling doomsday bunkers could go:

"Hello there! Worried about floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, or landslides. Paranoid about zombie uprisings, alien invasions, or robot revolutions! Then WE HAVE the solution to all your problems: Introducing our new-state of the art "doomsday bunkers"!! What, not sure you should get one? Don't think it will ever happen to you? Well, its a known fact that 100% of people who think they won't die, end up doing so!!! You say you can't afford one? well, not to worry, with only 2 million easy payments of 9.99 you can start paying your way for a brighter, safer doomsday!" =)

I thought it was 12/23... Or is that Christmas...

Ah well. Either way, it's a great excuse for a party and some free sex.

My plan is to drive north, then west till I reach New Orleans. There I will charter a steamboat casino since it has food and water already in it and then sail up the mississippi river until the whole thing blows over.

Hmmm....$25000?
Alright, where's my wallet?

Ok, seriously? I was thinking about 2012 being real when I noticed that there was an earthquake in Haiti, oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the volcano in Iceland, the Australia flood, the Japan earthquake.

These are all recent. Could this be a sign?

Most likely, no. I don't believe in any of this crap, but it does seem a bit more plausible, that something really, really bad could happen soon.

I'll bet it's as crazy as Y2K. Better get a bunker. Pshaaaaayeah right, I'd rather die than have to mate with radioactiveized chicks.
Not a stupid date!
It's my birthday
...My 21st birthday

Alot of 12's and 21's

I bet you I'll have something to do with the apocalypse
Anyone down for a party in my bunker?

Heh, I have enough for me but not my girlfriend. What will these people do if there is no huge disaster. On a serious note I intend to make some sort of survival plan if the geological disasters continue in the next year.

It must be nice to have the kind of pocket money to throw around for this stupidity. The fact that companies actually exist for the sole purpose of selling doomsday shelters is ridiculous.

:O could you imagine living in a sealed underground bunker with 949 other people who all believe the world will end in 2012?

Man, if I had that kind of money, I would just use that place as a house.

Also, on the whole "2012" thing, what if that was the date the Mayans just decided to stop? I mean, at some point the future just doesn't matter anymore.

Well, if they sell 1 a month and then one month they sell 10 that is a 1000 percent increase right there so I think this a perportional increase instead of a real increase.

The picture in the link reminds me of the Dollhouse*, from the show of the same name by Joss Whedon, but without the open zen-like spaces. Now, if I could buy an underground building that was self contained like that I'd do it and live in it. Too bad I'm an unemployed full-time student who comes from a poor family eh?

The 2012 phenomenon is false. There will be no world ending tragedy, the Mayans never said the world was going to end. Their calendar actually continues on afterwards, for about 13 octillion years or something. 12/21/12 is just the end of the 13th b'ak'tun (144,000 days, or 294.25 years). The Mayans have actually had one of these happen before, not a big deal.

Link to proof? I have a gaggle of people I know that need some reality knocked into their heads.
