I began actually taking notice of what was going on around me. I hoped the suited man anwsered the foreign girls questions - I wanted to know the same things.

I chuckled at my kill count. 13 kills was considerably lower than the others, but I had only fought in one battle. I knew not how many battle these other warriors had fought. I could tell the others were getting anxious to get started with something. I was anxious too, but I wasn't quite sure what the devil had in store for us.

Man, this RP is fast, i'm behind!

The devil was a nice fellow for a crazy beast. I expected him to be a goat man with red skin and horns. His suit was amazing, more than I could afford...
I plucked up and asked him a question.
"Are we fighting then sir, or just waiting around for your lazy self to finish his daily business?" I felt confident now but booted myself for being to brave.
"Damn." I thought.

I looked at the insolent russian.
"Watch your mouth. Your speaking to the devil, have you not listened to the Rolling stones? Oh I forgot, it was before your time." I looked around at the group, I had a sneaky feeling that these would succeed. "I suppose you should follow me, then." I took them through the least gruesome way, I didn't want my enjoyment getting ruined by the horrified thoughts in their heads. We finally came to the door, I'd had this built when I first came here. I pushed the door open, to give them the view of my Grand Arena. The Grand Arena could hold all of my servants and slaves, and it was a full house, they always stopped what they were doing to see my custom gladitorial matches. The noise was deafening, as millions of demons and imps shouted their hatred of the humans. My guards shoved them in and they fell into the main yard. Various traps lay on the floor and the walls. Fire shooted from ugly pits and sawblades stuck out from the floor. I walked to my balcony, and sat on my throne. I'd made sure it had the best seat in the place, and I could clearly see the whole arena.
"SILENCE!" All fell silent. "I hope you enjoy my new batch of entertainers, we all hope that the portal chose well. As this is their first fight, they will have it fairly easy." The crowd booed and hissed, and I shushed them with a raise of my hand. "Today, they will fight the Totured wretches!" Tortured Wretches looked like exactly as they were called. Twisted humps of meat in so much pain that they had turned insane. The gate opened, and 50 stumbled out. They outnumbered the fighters greatly, but they had a lot of ground to cover an most of the fighters had guns. I smiled, sat back, and began to watch the show.

Tortures wretches?... Fifty or so mutated, screaming chunks of meat crawled and hobled out of a big door. The crowd (Who looked the same, just slightly more humanoid) Cried out in something that could only be excitement.
"Guys! Um..." They were near now and I fired a shot at the one in the front, it was the biggest of them but it fell with one shot to the chest. I quickly fired at another of the beasts and it to dropped. The blood that came out of the mutants was a purple black and, even from a good twenty meters, smelled like corpses. The tohers began to act out to, firing or shooting.
I looked up at the devil. He was smiling and gave me a wink, the sick bastard. I frowned at him and tried to shoot in his direction. The bullet was sure to hit him but it got up onto the balcony area and melted into ash...
"What the?..." A wretch was near me and I butted it with my gun before shooting it in the face, or what was the face. More semed to come by the minute and I fired continuously(?) at the on coming hordes.

I didn't have time to quiz myself on the Devil's methods, I was too busy trying to keep myself alive. I didn't want to kill anything...even if they were the Devil's minions. All of the others were warrior and trained soldiers, I was just a scared recruit. A group of wretches ran towards me, and I jumped out of the way, trying to avoid injury. The imps jumped after me, and landed on a contraption that looked like a bear-trap. The wretches split in half and writhed in pain, it didn't even appear as if they were dead. The sight nearly made me sick...what was I thinking, joining the army?

"I'm so not ready for this." I jumped behind a line of traps, none of the creatures would be able to get me without injuring themselves...the tactics of the absolute.

I gripped my rifle closer to my chest, tried to control my breathing, and desperately tried to think. I instinctively looked for a wall or object to hide behind, but we were in the middle of this hellish arena. Hellish. I guess this is what they were talking about.

I hoped I didn't outwardly show my emotions too much. I was scared, nervous, and, surprisingly most of all, angry. I looked at the demoms surrounding me, glaring down at me, from the stands. So we were here for their entertainment. Why should I fight for them?

I figured I had no choice as the Devil finished his speech, said we would be fighting "Tortured wretches" and I heard a sound from a side of the arena. I turned to see metal gates lifting up, and a mob of what looked like vaguely-human shaped masses of butchered flesh entered. I'm fighting these? They weren't moving very fast, they seemed to be stumbling forward. Still, I didn't want to see what those things were planning on doing to us when they got here.

I checked my rifle to make sure it was ready for a fight. It was. As was my plenty of ammo, as I always carried. I raised it to my shoulder, aimed down the sight, and picked the closest Tortured Wretch. Then I hesitated. They were tortured wretches. Surely they were victims of the Devil, the same as us? But then the fear of failure, and a similar fate, convinced me to slowly squeeze the trigger.

A horde of five or six wretches dived towards me, I fired at one and it fell back, knocking the other creatures. I shot again, aiming to knock them into a fire pit. The plan worked and they dropped into the deep pit. A second or to after they fell, their cries reached a high as a tongue of fire enroled them onto the death list. I saw a young man hiding behind a trap, coward. If I was back home he would have been killed.
"Comrades, focus on the big ones!" The wretches didn't seem to be so much of a threat any more but I still fought for my life.

I quickly grabbed my sword and beheaded the beast. Their pain would soon disappear. They weren't as much of a threat as I previously had thought. They easily fell with one strike of my mighty sword. I continued to strike. Violently swinging my sword at the beast. They continued to fall at my hand. One right after the other. There were many but it seemed that everyone who had been brought through the portal was making quick work of the beast. Then I turned and saw Har....I forgot his name. It was a very uncommon name, at least to me. Hamon, Harlen....Harry, thats it. I saw him hiding behind traps. Was he afraid to fight? I turned to him.

"Fight! Don't be a coward! Fight or you'll easily be kill by these beast!"

Alfred.

I don't think anyone was expecting the things that came out of the gate. The "Tortured Wretches" staggered out, drooling and moaning in pain as they walked on stumps. I figured that they had fallen to the devil, and that there wasn't any humanity left within them. I fired, so as to put them out of their misery. I fired the G98 into the leg of a wretch, it fell backwards and slipped into a pit. Horrible crunching and slurping sounds came from within. I fired again, a spray of thick purple goop splashed the wretch shuffling behind it. We had killed 20 within a minute, but some wretches had managed to stumble into our midst. Allowing Aiko, Rognvald and Roaring Bear to get into fearsome melee. As I fired, I wondered what lay behind the Devil's grinning mask.

"Aiko, I'm not a fighter!" I screamed from behind my steel fortress. I wasn't like these people, they had the blood-lust, I had no desire to kill or fight. I always try to help people, I never wanted to hurt anybody or anything. Another wretch jumped towards me and hit a spike. So far I hadn't killed a thing, their stupidity was killing them.

I don't want to fight...I don't want to die!

I ran towards Harry. He would never survive if he kept hiding behind the steel spikes. As I was running towards him another one of those wretched beast dove at me. I dodged it and swung my sword at its body impaling it quickly. When I finally made my way over to Harry I saw him shaking in fear. I stared at him in the eyes. My years as a lieutenant could perhaps help persuade him to fight.

"You need to fight to survive. No one ever wants to kill! But when its a life and death situation and you want to live to see your family you need to fight! These things will kill you and forget about you the next minute. You need to fight!"

I pulled out my gun at the sight of these horrible things, in a way though, I felt relived about killing them. I highly doubt these poor souls want to be alive anymore and at least they weren't woman or children! I shot at a couple, my aim was not all too good.

"Hey! Harry, get out of there and fight ya pussy! You think I like killing people" I looked at the wretches, "Things? No! But I do what I have to to survive! We need your advanced weaponry!"

I took a few more shots at the foul beasts, my motivational speech wasn't all too great, but hopefully it'll work.

Aiko's words hit me hard. I was filled with mixed emotions, but in the end, primitive instincts kicked in, and I pulled up my gun.

"AAAAARGH!!!"

I fired wildly and shot down a group of wretches. The blood-lust filled my mind, all I cared about was death, I couldn't tell friend from foe, I was breaking down. I fired again in random directions, I just wanted to kill.

I ducked at a wave of bullets headed my way.

"Holy shit dude! Shoot at the wretches, not us!" more bullets flew, "The wretches!!!"

I shot at some of the beasts and inched toward Harry, I grabbed the tip of his gun and pointed it toward the hoard of wretches.

"Those! Not us!"

I looked at the man who held my gun, I wasn't thinking very straight. I kicked him in the shins so that he would release his grip. I ran around the battlefield shooting bullets into the air like a mad-man and every-so-often I would shoot a wretch that came near me.

"RAARR! RAARR! BOOM BOOM!" I screamed as I charged around. I had completely lost it.
