The cool liquid poured down my throat. It was the sweetest treat I had ever tasted. What was this magic drink?

I took one last sip, and handed it back to him. "Thank you, that was the strangest tonic I have ever had. Where are you from brave one?"

I thought for a moment,he could very well be from Canada too!

"I actually might be from the same land as you! But many, many years in the future. Could you describe your land to me? Perhaps we are from the same part o the world. Wouldn't that be something?!"

I stood apart from the group. They all seemed so strange to me. The two men from completely eras seemed to be getting along quite well. I thought of the all as strange. Though we were all humans the time periods from which we came from made us drastically different. I was nervous.

How do I initiate a conversation with them?

There wasn't much I could do to clean my rifle. I didn't have anything except my clothes, which I didn't much want to get dirty anyway. I considered disassembling it to clean it more thoroughly, but I didn't know when I would need to use it again.

Having done everything I could, I began to count and check over my ammo clips. I had used up a few. That made me realize, What happens when we run out? I remembered how fast the futuristic guns had used up ammo, surely however much they carried wouldn't last for long?

If there were going to be future challenges, I assume they'll be increasingly more difficult. So if anything, we would need our ammo more. Those Wretches could have been dispatched almost just as easily with melee, should I have been saving my ammo?

Did we just make a fundamental mistake? I looked around at my fellow soldiers, more and more of them talking casually. They had no idea of this potential problem. Maybe the Devil would give us more ammunition so we could continue the challenges, but maybe not. I figured I would ask Alfred about this. I spied him across the room, and went up to him.

"Hey, Alfred. I was thinking about ammunition. How much did you use up in that fight? If there are going to be more if them, I don't know that we'll have enough. Do you think we'll be supplied with more?"

I saw Aiko standing out from the crowd, she looked really shy.

"Aiko, come here, would you?" I asked her to come over, and eventually she did.

"So, Aiko...tell me a bit about yourself...your time."

I walked over to where Harry was. He asked me about myself.

"Of course. I was born 1133, in Heian-Kyo. My father was Yorimoto Minamoto. When I was twelve he designated me to become a lieutenant for the Genji warriors. My life has been rather dull other than the battles I have been to. Tell me about yourself?"

I chuckled at Aiko, she thought her life was boring.

"I don't really have much to tell. I have no family, no parents, in fact, the only thing I did have were my friends, but I don't even know if they're still alive...the war I was in...it wasn't pretty. I'm sure you can imagine, comparing our weapons to yours."

I looked at the floor, of all the moments, now I was hungry.

I've been tolerant, but this is the last straw. One more slip of the tongue and we will kill you off so horribly the writing style will make you ill. You have been warned. XD

I was served a full meal, hot lamb drizzled with sauce and vegetables. I was getting full halfway throught the meal, it was that gargantuan(?). I tore the meat off and thought about the next fight. Life out of the arena wasn't so bad! Food, water, clothes...
I asked to try some dark drink called pepsi. It tasted like a corpse so I rinsed my mouth with mead. I finished the meal and sat back in my seat. I pictured another batch of wretches, at this moment being tortured and stabbed...
"Alfred...What is life like in the future?"
