There wasn't much I could do to clean my rifle. I didn't have anything except my clothes, which I didn't much want to get dirty anyway. I considered disassembling it to clean it more thoroughly, but I didn't know when I would need to use it again.
Having done everything I could, I began to count and check over my ammo clips. I had used up a few. That made me realize, What happens when we run out? I remembered how fast the futuristic guns had used up ammo, surely however much they carried wouldn't last for long?
If there were going to be future challenges, I assume they'll be increasingly more difficult. So if anything, we would need our ammo more. Those Wretches could have been dispatched almost just as easily with melee, should I have been saving my ammo?
Did we just make a fundamental mistake? I looked around at my fellow soldiers, more and more of them talking casually. They had no idea of this potential problem. Maybe the Devil would give us more ammunition so we could continue the challenges, but maybe not. I figured I would ask Alfred about this. I spied him across the room, and went up to him.
"Hey, Alfred. I was thinking about ammunition. How much did you use up in that fight? If there are going to be more if them, I don't know that we'll have enough. Do you think we'll be supplied with more?"
