I looked at Aiko, she didn't understand the concept of the weapon.

"Come here Aiko." She came over and I showed her how it worked.
"Look, you pull this thing here, and the mechanism inside makes it do this."

I pulled the trigger and a bullet flew out of the barell. The noise was so loud for Aiko that she covered her ears in horror.

I covered my ears when the...machine exploded. It sent a small piece of metal rushing towards the wall. I looked in horror as this all happened. Did people actually use this? Where would he get such a weapon from? Everyone in Japan was still using swords.

"Such a barbaric weapon. Though I can see the advantages I prefer to fight with honor. That is why I will use nothing more than my sword."

"Haha, would a child play with that?! These things are slightly more advanced than swords."

I looked at the Japnese woman, it almost seemed as though she genuinely didn't know what a gun was,

Where are these people from?

I am sometimes asked, why? Why do I do what I do? And I smile, and shrug, and say it's my job. And like most jobs, it gets boring, you get bored of doing the routine, mundane tormenting for all eternity. And the next question I get asked is what else I do? Well, mostly, I do a bit of painting, but sometimes, I treat myself. I gather totally random people from totally random battles from totally random times in history and the future and them force them to work together through some challenges, wars and trials that I think up, and if they fail, I torture their very minds forever. If they succeed, I reward them with whatever thay wish.

I walked up to the cold marble waiting room, I checked myself in the mirror. I looked ok. I wore a suit and tie, the ageless look, if you were born after 1800's that is. Oh well, only the japanese girl and the viking were born before then. I flashed a smile, stroked my hair, took a deep breath and pushed on the handle. My warriors were waiting.

I sat in the back not knowing who these strange men were. I was genuinly puzzled about where this place was, and what my purpose was going to be in this strange land. The men in the strange clothing were getting aquainted, and I thought I would greet the strangers. I went up to the women. The one in the strange armor carrying the sharp blade of steel.

"Greetings armored one. I am Roaring Bear, of the Apache tribe, are you a settler? I have never before seen your kind in my lands."

All of a sudden a door opened, and a suited one walked through. I did not like the looks of this man.

"Aiko, I don't like having to use this...I've never killed anyone with this. As you'd say, it's a virgin blade..." I looked deeply saddened...why did I join the army...why?

I turned to Alfred, who I had forgotten was speaking to me.
"Sorry Alfred, I'm Harry...Harry Mason." I shook my hands violently, they were soaking wet.

"Ooh! Fire!" I ran towards the column of fire and sat beside it. I needed to try out, I was bogged down with water.

The man in the suit looked extremely wealthy, maybe he had been drawn through the vortex too.

"Erm...excuse me, are you one of the people who got sucked in here too?!"

I don't know if it's a matter of different time zones or me waking up too late (probably a combination of both) but sorry I took so long to get here. Let me try to catch up. By the way, exactly what sort of place are we in? A sort of hell as Strumpets started to describe or a room like Voodoopigs said?

I leaned against the wall behind me, trying to calm myself and figure out what was going on around me. A few minutes ago I had woken up with a blinding headache to hear strange voices around me. I opened my eyes, I couldn't quite comprehend what I was seeing but I started to panic. I looked down to find my right hand still tightly grasping my rifle. That gave me some comfort, and I instinctively started to push myself backwards across the floor until my back hit a wall to lean against.

I started to observe the people conversing in front of me. They seemed confused and scared, but since I had just woken up I felt they knew more than I did. I realized that most of them seemed to be soldiers, with various sorts of rifles. Some of the uniforms and weapons seemed odd, perhaps they were from America or somewhere? The most interesting person I saw was a girl with exotic features; I realized she was Asian, maybe Japanese. I had only seen pictures of Asian people in books. I noted she was fairly attractive. Then I felt embarrassed to be thinking like that in such a situation, and my eyes fell on the sword she carried; it was huge. I didn't even know they made swords that big.

Then I noticed a soldier walking towards me; a familiar sight. I realized he was German, and I started to panic again. Hadn't I just been fighting German soldiers? He had the uniform and rifle I had seen too many times. He came up to me, but he didn't level his rifle. He held out his hand in greeting, and introduced himself-in Russian, I think, but with a German accent.

I must have still been fairly dizzy because I just sat there stupidly trying to figure this man out. I was puzzled by his words; I could understand them, but I realized that they didn't seem to be Russian, nor German. I just, understood them. I must have been sitting there too long, as he turned away from me to answer to someone calling him with an annoyed look on his face.

I felt embarrassed that I may have just blown my chance to speak with someone familiar to me in this strange situation. I stood up, tapped the German on the soldier, and said, "I'm sorry Alfred. As I hope you understand, I am a bit confused by what is going on. My name is Sergei. Do you have any idea where we are?"

"No my friend," I smiled at at the american, "I'm the devil." I savoured the look on their faces. "Oh no, please don't applaud, I don't deserve it." I looked around, the German from WW1 was staring at me with slanted eyes, like he was thinking. "Yes young lad, you give yourself a migraine staring at me like that."
The German, Alfred I believe his name was, asked "If you're the devil, that means we're in hell, and that means that heaven is real."
"My you're clever, yes you're in hell, yes, He's up there somewhere." He took that in by sucking his teeth. I turned to the others,

"Any questions?"

A virgin blade. So he's never killed anyone before? Strange. I turned to see a man. He seemed to be wearing animal pelts.

"Nor yours in mine. I am Aiko Minamoto of the Genji warriors."

Suddenly another man walked into the room. Another man dressed in odd clothing. His appearence made me uncomfortable. He said he was the devil. Hard to believe. I asked him a question.

"Why are we here?"

I sat near the fire, listening to the so called 'devil'.

After he had finished, I clapped sarcastically.

1 clap...2 claps...3 claps.

"Alright then Mr Devil...why did you bring us here?"

Alfred didn't respond to me. At first I thought he was angry at me, but I followed his gaze and realized why. A wealthy looking man had walked into the room. I tried to listen to what he was saying. Did he just say he was the Devil? I felt faint again and leaned against the wall for support.

Alfred.

I turned at the touch on my shoulder. It was the russian.
"Hi, I'm Alfred, and I think we should put all our differences away for the moment." I held out my hand again, and this time he took it. His shake was firm and I smiled. "that's sorted then, we're not at each others throats."

"No, no questions at all! Seriously, this joke is over! Where is my squad?" I began to panic, this was getting really weird now, "I want out of your sick joke, or TV show or whatever!"

"Yes speak, silver-tongued one. Why have you brought us here." I moved under my animal hides to get my tomahawk made from human bone. I would keep this close to me.

So Alfred spoke to me, I guess we were friends. Not that it would matter. I took in what the man-the Devil-had said. We were in Hell. I guess I deserved it, I never went to Church. So I had died in that ditch? So this is how it works? Everyone who dies gathers in a big room until we're told where to go?

But...if this is everyone who died today, why are we from different times? I had atleast figured that out, judging by the Viking man and some sort of half-naked savage. I shied a bit closer to Alfred for comfort, and looked down at my rifle. I wonder if this will help me at all?

I'm sorry again but apparently I need to leave the house for Mother's Day. I'll be back in about an hour. Do whatever you need to do with my character.

"What the bloody hell is going on here!?, Whare are we, who are we, what are we?!!!!" I shouted at everyone. I kind of was loseing my allready short temper, after being nocked out and draged into a wierd vortex that dumped me with a large group of people. Even more so, I had died from the explosion I knew was going to kill me. "OH THIS IS BLOODY BRILLENT!!!!" I shouted looking both extremely anoyed.

"No...there is no way we are dead, we have our conciousness still, if we had died, we'd know how we died...it's deeper than just death...it has to be!" I screamed worridly, I didn't want to think I was dead.

I hadn't spoken yet, which was strange for me. I now thought, we could be dead...
"No!" Everyone stopped and looked at me.
"Were not dead, but were not alive..." The devil had made me confused and anxious.
"We're in hell, as the guy had said. Anyway, I'm Rafstan." I had took a role upon myself now, I needed to escape.

Back! I like how things slowed down so much once I left. I was atleast expecting this to have gotten to the 4th page. For shame. I don't have anything to say though. Please continue.
