Save/Load capability in real life: If you could do anything what would you do?

But wait, after you load, all your memories are gone, because you are not the third-person entity controlling you. You are you. So therfore you could not ace the tests. Sorry guys. But you could try and do crazy stuff, but you wouldn't remember doing it, so you wouldn't remember failing and trying again, and you wouldn't remember loading, so you would be anxious to try it again. So you wouln't do it. In theory it would mean immortality (sweet!) or retrying things until you suceed. I guess the question is: are you concious of your ability to load and save, knowing in advance that you can do it, or is it something that happens on the spur of the moment. Discuss.

(P.S. The most awesome gaming thing would be cheat codes. (God mode, yeah baby yeah!) But then I guess the same logical problems of how concious you were of your abilities once again arises. Hmmmm....)

I'd quicksave every five minutes, probably. And before every conversation. Then I would do horrible things to everyone and reload afterwards.
So basically, I would act like I do in every videogame I play.

I have over 100 saves in Fallout 3. I can't imagine how many I would in real life. I'd have one at the start of every school year, I'd have one before I talk to any girl I care about, I'd have one before any tournament, go back and relive some awesomeness. Of course I'd do the obvious thing like "load my game from 20 years ago to try something else."

I'd abuse that to all hell.

I'd abuse it to relive moments I want again. Or things to fix. Relationship things, school things, etc...

The whole invent and then go back in time is nice, but in practice seems like something I'd do after I'm bored with living forever.

I think what I'd really love to do is build up a supply of money, say, 3000 dollars, and save my game, and then load that, and visit a different country with that money for a week or two each save, until I've been everywhere.

I would just make a dated save file every 10 minutes and live out my life indefinitely, loading to about 18 every time i get to about 70. That way you could absorb ridiculous amounts of knowledge and skills and if you ever fuck up just load to 10 minutes ago.

A few questions, are there multiple saves? Are they instantaneous (to save and load), and do they restore everything or just somethings? Do you get to keep knowledge that you learn AFTER the save, if you load at that save? [ie possessions go missing, etc, etc]. Do they kick in automatically if you die, is the ability to save and load avaliable even after you die?

Anyways, I'll continue as if they are instantaneous and that they allow you to keep knowledge on fields(as in not people, but book knowledge you can keep, so long as it doesn't contain futuristic knowledge), and only up to an hour ahead of your current time, or things get faint.

First save point: Right now, will not be edited in any points, is in fact now a ROS(Read only Save).

Basically, I'd just do crazy shit, making saves(I normally use 3 saves other than the one above when in game, just so I have a incredly recent back up(which I'd normally use, but sometimes is saved too close as to be actually usable(not having enough re-action time in other words), a medium back up, and not as far as my immovable back up).

I'd steal a car, go on a joy ride, out run the police, then if I get caught or what-ever(which would be damn near impossible considering I'd be abusing my incredibly recent back up), just jump back to my before stealing the car save.
I'd basically do anything which no normal sane person would do(jump off a building or out of a plane) with no parachute, have shoot outs.
Then, as much as I hate to say this, but I'd move onto abusing my power on girls. [I get to spend multiple life times with one girl, and I can do this for every girl I want.]

I'd hate to have this power if it auto-kicked in at death though, because you'd be doomed to live life over nad over, and you WOULD get sick of it eventually.
