I just opened it up and started reading at the beginning.

It was a year or two ago, and since it wasn't terribly important to me...

Anyway, the point is, I find it a poor book.
And since the only value it has to me is as a book, I would not take it along.
As a book, it sucks.
Maybe if I believed a word written in it, it would have some added meaning that would excuse the poor writing, but I do not.
It was just depending on what book of the Bible it was, I may be able to explain the significance of the genealogy and why it was there in the first place. However, I don't think you would have been interested to begin with.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that it's not the easiest thing to read and can understand how it would have no significance to you, it's just I have a hard time understanding how one can come to the conclusion that something is bad without having that much experience in the matter.
