Well, back before it was confirmed that Kinect was a part of the standard hardware, I said to my friends "I will not buy the next version of the Xbox if Kinect is a part of the standard issue hardware." Now that I've heard about its other "features", I can say that the one good thing about the New Xbox is that I now have more reasons for not buying one than just my (slightly petty) hatred of motion controls.

The mandatory Kinect will also mean lots of mandatory Kinect gimmicks being crowbarred into games the don't benefit from them, due to a lack of risks to developers for implementing Kinect features. Seriously, this
will happen. It always happens. I know that this is a "say something nice" thread, but I really felt that I had to point this out.
