I was in a bigass, dark catacomb
There was a giant altar in the center of it
when I got near it mist start to come out and it rose above the floor

This dead dude's corpse suddenly bursted and out came a humanoid alien.

I had this big, long, graphic dream that felt like it should have been a movie once. It concluded with me, seeing through the eyes of this 'main character' holding a little 5 year old girl's head underwater until she drowned to death. Fucked up.

Scariest dream I remember is being chased through my town by Jurassic Park-style velociraptors.

That film fucked me up as a kid.

Scariest dream ever, dreaming I'd been stabbed and that I was drowning in my blood.
Only to wake up and find myself caked in blood and vomit having bitten my tongue in my sleep.

Didn't get much sleep that week.

I'm not sure why this dream was so scary, but when I woke up I almost shit myself.

I was in an airport, and a voice came on the PA system called me down to do something at the reception desk. I turned around to go there, and I was outside next to an airplane. I turn around again and I'm in my house. Everytime I look around or move, I was somewhere else, and always a voice was calling me to the reception desk. I don't know why it scarred me so much, and thinking about it now I feel kind of stupid, but when it happened, I couldn't sleep until two days after, when I was simply so exausted I had no choice.

The one with the Cathedral or the one in the Vineyard are two of the worst.

Can't really talk about them.*

I have nightmares at least four times a week, which really sucks, and the nightmare in question is usually the same. I can't prepare myself for having the nightmare before I go to sleep, either. Anyway...

In my dream, I "wake up" in my bedroom on the ceiling, with weird scuttling creatures everywhere - like spiders and rats combined. A ladder appears next to me, so I climb down the ladder towards the floor. Then the floor collapses, and the top of the ladder starts to disappear so I have to climb faster and faster, although I'm climbing upside down into a gigantic cave (where my floor used to be). Suddenly the ladder's rungs turn into giant snakes that wrap around my arms and throat. I'm getting suffocated while falling into a bottomless pit - which is fucking terrifying. Throughout the nightmare I keep getting visions of dead people, cats, and babies. A lot of the people that I see have been gruesomely killed, but even worse is that I've seen them (alive, of course) when I was awake that day. The dream ends with my neck breaking - either from hitting the ground or from the snakes - then I wake up.

Surprisingly enough, I don't get all that much sleep for fear of shitting my bed.
This reminded me of another one.
I was in my uncle Chris' house, and as I came up from the basement where me and my cousins hang out, the floor became a mass of scorpians. I tried to run, but the stairs never seemed to end. Then out of nowhere, I'm upstairs, and everything except a small path to the door is covered in scorpians. So i run to the door, and just before I make it out, one stings me. I fall to the ground just in front of the door, screaming and trying to open it, while thousands of tiny scorpians just swarm over me and sting me. Then I started coughing up a brown foam and blood. Then I died.
This one I didn't find nearly as scarey as the one I mentioned before, but I still woke up in a cold sweat when it was over.

Freakiest for me would be where I was in my room then I turn around and there's someone there, I try to yell but for some reason my voice doesn't work. It ends with the person brutally stabbing me multiple times. . . I amazingly never lose sleep from it :/

Also while on the topic of dreams I sometimes have one where Im at school in maths, and I just put my head down and sleep. . . Sort of like real life except I sleep during Social Studies and Science not Maths.

I sort of remember two really scary dreams I had back when I was a little kid. I don't remember them enough to describr in detail, but they both involved being chased. One was a really fast chase, with the pursuer right behind me. It felt bery frantic and desperate. I actually think freaky clowns or midgets or something were involved with that one.
The other one was a slower sort of chase, with the pursuer slowly stalking me as I went from place to place trying to find somewhere to hide. It wasn't just me, there were a lot of people he was chasing too, like it was some big public thing. I remember the dream ended with someone passing by outside the room I was hiding in (I think he was riding a horse) and he said, "We're all alone together." I still have no idea what that means. But oddly meaningful sounding considering I was probably like 6 or 7.

Nowadays I don't really have any scary dreams. I don't dream much at all in fact. I have little mini dreams, so that I know I dreamt, but I can barely remember them at all when I wake up and those memories don't last long.

the scariest one i have had, would be randomly loosing all of my teeth, i dont know why i keep on getting this dream but it keeps haunting me
Oh jeez, I had that one the other day. Worst part was, they grew back really fast and all wonky then fell out again all by themselves. This happened about four times one after the other. I was still cringing and gagging when I woke up

More recently I met to a sheep who declared that it like Eminem... For some reason unbeknownst to me, I believed it and it didn't take me by suprise. That was all it said... I meet a sheep who can talk and that's all it had to say!!

After seeing a Simpsons opening one night of a giant foot crushing all of them, I had that same foot kill me in my dreams plenty of times. They lasted for 5 weeks before I found something else to scare me.

A dream where I'm in a small dirt room with someone (something?) else, curled up against the wall, not moving. The room starts to contract but the person/thing doesn't seem to get any closer. I look down and my skin is blackened and hanging in strips from my body. I'm pretty sure I was dead in this dream. There's more to it than that but that's the gist of it; had it in about third grade and it's creeped the fuck out of me ever since.

Not really scary but it always freaks me out....I'm not really dreaming anything but I have the feeling that I'm falling and before I hit the ground I always wake up sweating with that feeling in my stomach, you know the feeling you get when your riding on a roller coaster.

That always freaks me out because it feels so real.

I dreamed I went to school. I realized I was dreaming, laughed at how I stumbled into a cliche and pinched myself to wake up. To my horror I couldn't wake up. A tried banging my head an wall and splashing my face with water. I couldn't understand it, I though if someone realized it was a dream the would go into a lucid dream and control it. Eventually one of my teachers started yelling at me which I ignored. Than she gave me a detention. I remember yelling "I can't believe my unconscious mind just gave me a detention." Then I started arguing with my friends about who was the one dreaming and who was a character in the dream.

It was a dark and stormy night. For whatever reason, my friend was in his car, parked in the middle of the intersection. A car plowed right into it, passengers side. I called 911, I got an answering machine and muzak. I woke with shivers and a dry mouth.

My worst dream ever, in recent memory, was when I started in this maze that had colors shifting between violet and black throughout the whole thing. In back of the maze was the silhouette of a gigantic spider. As I solved level after level of the maze, the spider's silhouette would grow larger, closer. And it just kept going on for level after level, as if it would last for eternity. I woke up unable to move for at least 10 minutes. Just the thought of it makes me shiver.

I've only had 2 nightmares in my whole life. Water dripping off the needle of a ginormous sweing machine into a gigantic bowl. The other was some dancing candycanes with boots & gloves. Yup, that's about as scary as my dreams get. I had a dream my favorite singer was trying to kill me, but it was one of the coolest dreams ever & I tried to go back to sleep & finish it.

& the coolest dream evar was when I drove a limo down a tight alleyway & found myself as the hostess for a crossdressing party, when suddenly a huge mothership or Trident Original Gum released it's gumstick pods, One broke through the 2 story window & flew off with a very convincing guy with pink hair & a white dress dringking a strawberry daquary.

I had a dream once where a bunch of people were exploding and adult sized alien zombies came out of them after they died and started attacking everyone. On top of that, if you got covered in goo from when they exploded then you'd be infected too and you'd explode and create another alien zombie. That dream was like a movie trailer. There was some guy in a suit chewing green gum, the same green as the alien zombies. I think he had something to do with the alien zombie attack.
My dreams usually aren't scary, they're just extremely disturbing.
