Silent Hill 3 mirror room, some scary stuff happens in there.
I was actually thinking of that exact room. One of my favorite SH moments for sure.

I'd probably have to say the prison in SH 2, though.

I have a sad case of Arachnophobia.
Sucks arse in alot of games.

I remember one point I couldn't play HL2 because of headcrabs (this lasted about 2 days as I just thought "this is stupid, you were playing it fine 2 days ago" so got over that sharpish)

Doom 3 spider thingys is reason I didn't finish that.

Resident Evil I thought was just zombies until a fucking turantula fell from the roof, and when I wasn't expecting it fucking scared me shitless.

Had afew things in RPGs where ive had to kinda ready myself and just stop being a pussy, but in FPSs and anything where its directly in your face takes me awhile.

Pathetic, and ive tried to get over it by facing it and stuff but still never have.
I think its only Doom3 and RE ive not finished though. (For that reason)

Im not arachnophopbic BUT RE has had some truly creepy spiders over the years. Even gives me the heebiee Jeebies. Probably the only baddie i find myself unloading clips into ruthlessly with no reguard for ammo conservation in the series. Just somethign about they way the move and the soundfx of the feelers tapping faster and faster as they reare up and come towards you. DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!@!

The Shalebridge Cradle, from Thief: Deadly Shadows.

This.

Also the Oceanside hotel in Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines was scary first time I played through it. The first Thief had a couple of scary ones as well, namely Down in the Bonehoard, The Haunted Cathedral and Return to the Cathedral.

In one of the ages in the original Myst, the two brothers each had a room, and one of them (I think it was Achenar's) had loads of torture devices in, and the room was really red. I haven't played in years so I could be completely wrong, but just my memory of that room creeps me out to this day.

Vault 106 in Fall Out 3... *shiver*
Hey guy, here's a tip. When you put something in spoilers, that's fine and all, but make sure you also put the game about it. It's impossible to guess which game you're about to spoil.

I'd have to go with the first couple levels of Alien vs. Predator 2 from the marine campaign. There is *nothing* to fight that entire time, but what you hear and *don't* see is what gets to you.
Very true. Alien vs Predator 2 is among the best games I know of in imersity, and I just made that word up for the occasion. I remember the whole marine campaign as pretty damn scary.

But not the expansion. You got turrets :/

That one level in Bioshock... You know which one I'm talking about.
No.
Elaborate.
The ballerina statue level. That one.
Ah.
Yes.
And how they're freaking silent so you can't hear them sneaking up.

I think the only part in that game that really got me to soil my whities was in the freezer-esque operation room, when you walk over to the table, pick up some form of tonic, then lots of smoke fills the room then goes away. Then, you turn around and there's an enemy RIGHT IN YOUR FACE.

I've never played a game in which i was genuinely scared, there's been a few that made me jump, (dead space and any resident evil come to mind) but these games after that initial shock aren't scary, just a quick *BOO!*.

Yeah those are thrills and jumps, but I have been truely scared by some things in games, not jumpy but truely afraid.

Although the daleks strike fear into me so - maybe im a wuss.

In L4d, just before you're gonna do something necessary the attracts the horde. You know that to go forward, you have to press the flashy button, but you know that (I believe this is how it's said) shit's about to go down. Or when you here the witch music and creep up to it, only to startle it and have it go all crazy.

The level in Vampire: The Masquerade where you have to get a necklace to make the house unhaunted. That house is fucking creepy. You walk down a hallway and a toy duck on wheels come rolling out. You go down a dead end hallway and you turn around and you see the ghost of a guy with an ax. That part made me scream soooo many times.
