Doom vs alien
i had nightmares for a week
course i was a little kid

jericho was kinda freaky at the beginning
its really hard to spook me in a video game nowadays, might have something to do with a good sense of the real world around me

Well F.E.A.R. freaked me out sometimes i thinks it was the atmosphere of that game just all around disturbing and freaky.

But really nothing besides that except the original Far Cry scared me out of my seat when i could have sworn the base was empty.

Then you and I are mortal enemies. Fluffy, attack!
fluffy is taking a nap, it would be wise not to wake him!

i don't know, sasuke has been a twat lately, but i have hope. he is kind of the epitome of emo though... :sigh: i can't help it.

F.E.A.R.

Ladder Scene = scariest. moment. ever.
I made the missus play that part hehe.

She got her revenge by doing her hair like Alma and standing in the dark outside the bathroom as I came out...

I think I needed new shorts that day.

doom or some parts of dead space others were just Startling. Bioshock also had a lot of scary parts in it.

The scariest game Ive ever played was condemned: criminal origins. At the begining it didnt seem too scary but once you started getting your way towards the end it got much creepier with a sort of wierd ending.
Couldn't agree more, the department store level when the mannequins started teleporting towards you and duplicating, I was dying.
Ya thats the point at which the game started getting creepy for me. I found myself hitting every mannequin in sight to make sure it didnt come alive.

Omg! I did that exact same thing! even to the extent of smashing into display cases to get to more mannequins to destroy, Paranoia or what. I seem to remember that Bioshock had a similar scene, Do you remember the bit in condemned when you opened the cabinet (in which you'd normally find health and ammo, thinking thank god, some health) and a zombie woman jumped out, I literally shat myself

I don't scare easily, but the first Silent Hill almost did when it finally got around to trying.

The atmosphere in Dead Space was GREAT... I did find it pretty scary, even though I keep reading about people that didn't.
Dead Space was a freaky game, and as you say, the atmosphere was well suited and the feeling of isolation added to the scares.

On another note, I don't find the Resident Evil series to be scary at all. Apart from the man in the furnace in Resident Evil 4.

The Sims when I had the most excellent life going on and then realised "fuck, this isn't real".
I second!!

I have to say that when you first play the Fatal Frame games they are pretty scary. I watched my little sister and her friend play them so much that when I finally got to play them they weren't scary at all.

Also... when I played RE5 with a friend of mine, he would be playing Chris and I would be playing Sheva. He would walk up to me or walk in my camera and that would scare the crap out of me. I almost shot him so many times.... A couple times I did shoot him. That's teamwork!
