Left 4 Dead 2. The Gnome. I was playing Dark Carnival, grabbed the Gnome and I was as happy as can be, frollicking around with my little friend. Well...one of my friend didn't liek the fact that I couldn't use a gun while hugging Mr Gnome, so when I get raped by a Jockey....he throws the Gnome over a fence and forces me to leave him behind. Two chapters later...I've just mauled through an infinite zombie horde, a few metres away from the safe house...and then I see him. Staring at me accusingly, with those big, angry eyes. I screamed.

First time I played FFVII (awaits fanboy flaming) I totally shat myself in the shinra building with 'trail of blood' playing late at night.

I now fly through it in 2 mins.

Well... umm...

Oh yes, suddenly being rammed from above by a BF 109 E in "Wings of Prey" (in cockpit view). That scared the shit outta me the other day!

Selecting multiplayer in MW2.
You're funny. Find work in a club somewhere. I'd love to see you perform.

OT: Left 4 Dead, when you find a witch. I actually had trouble sleeping after the first week of playing that game.

To be fair, someone got there before me too :L

I think the worst part is finding Jaime's (or Jamie's) reinforcements, dead at the door, clutching ammo boxes :S

the hand things in zelda ocarina of time. I piss myself to this day
Came into the thread to mention those damn hands. I just remember in the forest temple in one of the rooms, creepy sound gets louder, shadow grows underneath you and then BAM!

The Draygon boss in Super Metroid scared the hell out of me when I was 12 as soon as it just rushed at you from out of the screen.

I was playing Tomb Raider 2 and I was looking where the third secret in the first level is and the music for an enemy came on and I says "haha there's noth-*SCREAM*!" a Dinosaur came out of somewhere.
It also happened in Angel of Darkness my friend fell down a hole and a statue moved and we both scared each other screaming.
Good times.
Haha, I get kind of uneasy with Tomb Raider 1 where there's some skeleton king sitting on a throne (two of them I think). I forget where this was, maybe past the midas level but anyway, I was playing at my friends and pulled my guns out just to screw around and it aimed at one of them. Damn thing was just sitting there.. and no telling when it would move. >.>

These bastards from Half-Life 1:
May not seem like much now (and I'm quite proficient at getting past them these days), but when I first encountered them I probably had to change my pants about five times by the time I had finally killed them.

Not sure, I wasn't all that terrified of Ravenholm, it was startling at times and atmospheric, but not scary so much.

OT: Probably that recorded helmet-cam cutscene in Halo: Combat Evolved when the Flood are revealed. Don't care what anybody says, that scared me a bit when I first saw it.

Until I was about 10 just about any fps would scare me, no matter the content, because whenever an enemy would sneak up behind me I'd be allz liek OMGTWFBBQ!
Serious Sam in particular would make me almost jump out of my seat every time I heard some random enemy grunt, even more so due to the fact that they never seemed to want to spawn in front of me, instead coming at me from every goddamn direction -_-
I absolutely could not play that game with the sound on...

That part in the Fallout 3: Point lookout dlc where the lone wanderer is having the worst acid trip ever in a bog. or when s/he enters that one vault that they put calming fumes in. I don't think I'll ever look at the color blue the same for a while
