On a side note, ever wake up and not feel your arm, can't move it, can't even feel it. It's not asleep, it has blood circulation, but the contact just isn't there? I've had it happen a few times, not commonly or anything, just freaked me out the first time it happened.
Sort of, but I can move my limbs. Sometimes when I wake up, my brain isn't processing any input from my nerves until I move. Kinda strange sensation - not being able to feel the rest of your body lol.

Never had the sleep paralysis persist beyond my sleep. I don't tend to move much (if at all) in my sleep.

Like Two days ago I woke up being unable to move, I could barely open my eyes and I could only lightly moan. Eventually I was able to move. But I am thinking I just had a dream cause it felt kind of out of body.

(I was asleep, woke up, couldn't move, tried to yell for help but could only lightly moan, thought to myself "What's Going on?! Why Can't I yell for help!", suddenly blacked out for some reason, came back to and everything was fine. That's why I think it was a dream also)

Ew... I've had sleep paralysis as well, I was laying there, but couldn't open my eyes or move my hands to force them open, while my dog was asleep with his butt next to my head. So I had awful ideas of what the smell was, because I couldn't investigate.

Here's an odd occurrence, I woke up in the middle of the night and <link=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view>this person was lying in bed next to me. I freaked out and ran to call the cops, but there was no one in my room when I got back.

Also, I recently said "Candlejack" out loud, but nothing came to attack or kidna
...I see what you did thar.

OT: I was camping with my friends, and my ex-girlfriend and I were in our tent, when suddenly she woke up and asked me 'Did you hear that?' to which I responded 'Hear what?'. Apparently she had heard a massive shrieking noise, but very distinctly human. I asked my friends if they had all heard it too, and most of those who had been awake had, yet I was awake all night and didn't hear a thing.

It was very bizarre.
Maybe, *gasp*
YOU made the sound!

OT: Nope. When I sleep, I'm dead to the world until morning.
That is, I don't experience anything until I wake up.

When you're asleep, your body usually paralyzes you so you don't act out your dreams. If you wake up at the wrong time, your body might still be paralyzed. It happens to people from time to time.
Err....

No.

Sorry, it doesn't work that way, though that may help to explain grogginess in the morning, people don't wake up paralyzed and have it be normal.

I mean, this may happen to you once or twice during your lifetime, and may just be an isolated case due to sleep deprivation and such, but it's typically a symptom of other sleep disorders like narcolepsy.

OP: If it happens again, see a doctor, pronto! If it doesn't, just get better sleep.
Sorry, I've gotten all my knowledge of my subject on a documentary about alien abduction, so there's always the chance it isn't true. Excuse me while I research this matter!

*research research research*

Sorry, I was wrong. The body doesn't release a paralytic, the mind basically shuts off motor control completely. My bad!

So I see a pattern with the form today, lots of scary topics. Well, get this.

Last night I was sleeping, I woke up with a LOUD painful ringing in my ears, I know I was awake because my eyes were open and I could move them side to side...but I could not move the rest of my body at all, it felt like I had no control over myself....After about 10mins I finally got control back and never fell back asleep. I have absolutely no clue what happened but I was freaked.

Any ideas on what happened to me?

Anything happen to you that you just could not understand recently?
This thing didn't happen recently but to stay in the half awake theme: When I was a kid I woke up in the middle of the night and got out of bed. I went to my parents bedroom, so they woke up. When they asked me what was wrong I just said: "Nothing, just leave me alone." And went back to bed after a while. The strange thing was, I was 'awake' that whole time, but couldn't do anything about what I did. Kind of freaky kid I must have been.
