curse you, i wanted to say that, one of the few times i actually jump in video games. one of the areas where your standing in front of a desk and the mist comes down and he stands there until you turn around... that one makes me and my 21 year old (who watches literally anything and doesn't jump or anything [and i mean good horror movies... by which i mean the old stuff]) brother.

and not gonna lie, some parts, don't know what its been a while since the *first* time i played RE4, but yeah some parts got to me, OH OH like when It appears

Doing the Those! sidequest in Fallout 3, I approaced a door, opened it and immidately a scientist initiated a conversation. I think I might've let out a quick, girly scream.

I didn't expect to run into anyone in there, okay? Even the game thought it was scary, allowing me to tell the scientist "I frightened you?! I almost crapped my pants!"

When an invincibility shielded Brute chieftain charges you with hammer-a-swinging on Legendary mode with half the skulls turned on in... well you know what game I'm talking about.

When you run from the antlion gurdain in HL 2 EP 2.

You hear his footstep, you don't know how close he is and them BAM. You're dead.

Agreed man they scared me, I still played.

I believe you mean the plastic surgeon... (?)
The surgeon is in a different scene. There is a dentist's office downstairs in the medical pavillion where you pick up a tonic and he is right in your face when you turn around.. still makes me jump even when I know its coming...

Any time I'm walking when I get attacked by a Yao Guai in Fallout 3. The run quietly enough that it scares the bejesus out of me. I know get the Animal Friend perk immediately.

RE4... Let's just say this:

I'm not claustrophobic but thought about becoming so after I learned that opening doors in a tight corridor maze makes a timer start that causes your cage to fall.

I'm not a quiet person, but thought about becoming so after blind muscle bound pricks with 4 foot blades charge at any sound anywhere.

I'm not a hater of lumberjacks but thought about becoming so after I saw a 8 foot tall 400 pound guy running at me with a dual bladed chainsaw (cause THAT's friggen necessary).

I AM a lover of weapons and ammo, but thought about hating them, after learning that every substantial weapon upgrade/ ammo cache would cause untold horrors to home in on your ass.

And for the record...remember that part in the underground caves...kinda looks like a former desert built or Egyptian kingdom? That wonderfully magical room that won't let you out till you kill everyone...and you think you have...till you see that asshole upstairs waiting for you by the ladder, with the chainsaw constantly revving up...and you used your last grenade 3 seconds ago? THAT was complete bullshit and made me almost want to stop playing.

Fallout 3: Quite early in the game, so i was still a under-equipped and low level. Was spending my time happily killing mole rats in the wasteland, and all suddenly I turn around and faced a super mutant behemoth, that nearly caused me a freaking heart attack! (oh, and my character died obviously . . .)

I don't think I need to say anything more.
you can't actually say anything, as they were little girls we all know what wacko really likes :p but still it was a quite disturbing game :p

Well in dead space I was in a zero gravity zone thing and I jumped. I stopped paying attention and then the dude smacked right into a dead guy, then he started to fly away lifelessly, at that moment I was terrorfied. Don't know y.

Me too. But not as much as just hearing them, not knowing where they were.
Allthough I'm pretty sure they were meant to be scary.

I remember how I and my friend played a game on SNES (don't remember what game it was, except that it was a side-scrolling and that you fought monsters) Anyway, sometimes there would be boulders that would go around the character to protect him. For some reason I was terrified of those boulders and how they would go round and round... I was 5 or so at the time.

It's in the medical section when you pick up a gene tonic.

And mine would be emerald weapon in FF7, as I played it when I was about 7 and it always killed me and I found the underwater music creepy.

I don't really know if it was meant to be terrifying or not, but when i saw the SA-X walking around in Metroid Fusion, I basically shit myself.
I was just completely petrified.
I didn't play it again for at least a year, and when I finally made myself pick it back up I found that it wasn't actually as scary as I thought..
