See? It's different. The guys at Youtube go through with a redesign, and they don't do the one thing asked in nearly every comment thread ever: Bring back the old interface. Remember? With the window beside the video? Sure it wasted ad space, and the (old) new design maybe makes you more money, but really? I'm not saying the old design was better, I'm just sick of seeing those fucking copy-pastes in every thread.

Yeah I don't usually mind a re-design, but I can't seem to find the button that shows you the channels other videos that used to be on top of the video you were watching....if you know what I mean...I know what I mean.

im sorry to disappoint but the change you noticed has happened 3 months ago for majority of youtube users. for some reason some users got lagged behind. no idea why. personally, this is bad as the last "new" design. i agree that the old interface was vastly superior.

Meh its ok. The only real problem I have is that when i watch a video, videos related to the person im watching arent there. not sure if thats new... I usually use my phone to check subscriptions.
Anyways if you want youtube to change their layouts or perhaps offer constructive feedback, you can always email them outlining such advice

I have to side scroll to see the sidebar videos. Doesn't sound like much, but it's annoying and a step backwards in terms of effectiveness and ease of use. Absolutely no need for it.

Yeah, YouTube . . .

YouTube have made the executive decision to focus more on money than on usability or good design: there's been a massive outcry against every Facebook-y layout, but they've kept on doing them. I was watching a video recently and the guy was talking about it, and how it's much more difficult to make it on your own nowadays than it was even half a year ago.

That is, all the recommended videos (which take precedence over your subscriptions) are uberpopular videos because YouTube wants you to watch the most popular videos with the most advertisements so they can make the most money. Small channels will almost never get featured videos or recommended videos on the main page - not even in the related videos as much as more popular videos.

Making money is one thing, but it's the sheer disregard for good design that pisses me off. Just . . . why would you put the title below the video? Why would you make everything this horrific mishmash of elements stuck on a glaring white background? Why would you make a shitty layout even shittier?

Just . . . eugh.

They changed it around again. Not a lot, but it's there. And for some reason they compressed the layout to like 1/3 of the browser page... it's not even in the middle, it's on the left side. So unpleasant to use now. And I don't even have a 1920*1080 monitor... it has to be even worse for those who do.
