Wait after seeing that site, I am going out fishing, I don´t care if the ice is 3 feet thick, I am going to kill me some sea kittens.

What the hell are we MEN or pussy cats? I don´t care if I traumatize fish by killing of all their relatives, in fact if I have killed all their relatives I think the most merciful thing to do is reunite them in my stomach.
I'm a cat...check the name
No you aren't because you can use the internet, if you really think you are a cat i suggest staying away from China and getting yourself issued in a medical ward. But if you are a catfish i'd gladly eat you.

Oh honestly... I don't even know what to say. It's like I can't hate PETA any more... my loathing has transformed into mere disdain laced with pity.

I once heard a great PETA story. A guy had a bunch of rats and got sued (by PETA naturally) for killing all of them. So when the survivors multiplied he put them all in a box and shipped them to the Texas PETA headquarters. What did PETA do you ask? well naturally they exterminated them...silly PETA!

I once had a PETA member stop on the side of the street with a picture of an "aborted fetus" the conversation went like this. yeah apparently PETA do abortion protests who knew i didnt.

PETA Person: Do you condone this look at this poor baby never got a chance to live because its parent aborted it.
Me: Thats not an aborted fetus
PETA:...yes it is jsut look at it
Me: Thats a butterfly baby a child born with no skin.
PETA: it is why would i lie
Me: I dont know but you are theres not much left of an aborted child.
PETA:...*takes two steps back looks from the picture to me puzzled and wanders off*
Me:...that was odd *puts music back on and keeps walking*

Yeah i talk to myself when I'm by myself

Wait, so would adult sea kittens be sea cats? Calling all fish sea kittens wouldn't make any sense, since a kitten is a baby cat. Shit this is the dumbest thing I have ever laid eyes on. Sea Kittens really?!?!?!?!

I like fish!!
Stupid PETA. I think I'm going to share this with my Vegan friends and try to trick them into admitting PETA is stupid. Like this:
ME: So what would you say if you heard someone was trying to rename fish 'Sea Kittens'
VEGAN:I'd say they were stupid.
ME: BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You admit PETA's stupid!

Yes we are animals and we are more intelligent. The main point of what im saying is, that were on top of the foodchain but that doesn't gives us the right to behave like we own this planet, that were the only beeings that are allowed to do whatever they want. we live in an environment and should be aware that our survival isnt most important thing.

sorry for the spelling but my head hurts =(

If they were actually succesful in getting fish renamed to Sea Kittens, I'd still eat em. No problem. I'd probably eat more!

Kittening instead of fishing? If I was PETA I'd be more worried about desensitizing people to the concepts of catching real cats with little pieces of meat attached to fishing hooks.

Eh, sorry if I was a little presumptuous with the "I ARE NICE REALLY" thing; guess I just misinterpreted.

I agree with you though, as the more intelligent and, in a way, powerful species we have every responsibility to look after the planet in all sense, with all its creatures. We have the power to mess it up, we should be expected to maintain it.

Unlike PETA, who believe animals and people should stay either side of a kind of Berlin wall, in which no cat should be subjected to the tyranny as man as their 'pet'. Because, as we all know, cats are weak, pathetic creatures who are known for their endless loyalty and habit of staying with their owner to their dying day.

Maybe we should make a parody organization... like People for the Ethical Treatment of Plants (and vegetables).

It'd be halarious if we someone made a good parody site!

I wonder what they're trying to say. Definitely not anything religious, and not anything scientific is an understatement, what?
Advocating "Animals are people too"? Their argument is their fallacy. Soon thereafter the NGA would argue "Guns are people too".

ignoring for a moment that its PETA and anyone affiliated with them needs to be thrown into a tiger pit (we should give the tigers a good habbitat, big underground area with artificial sunlight a day/night cycle and caves, perhaps a small section of river. but only feed them PETArds. petatards?)

yes. sea kittens. so what about river sea kittens? what will they be called? and lake sea kittens? and pond sea kittens? will frogs be sea kittens? will i be grossed out by kittens now? will people order the kitten instead of the steak at restraunts? will deep sea bass sea kittening survive as a sport even with such a long name?

The reasoning behind this is pretty obvious, I think. Most people find mammals more "cute" than animals further removed from us in the evolutionary tree such as insects, fish or reptiles. Perhaps we are genetically conditioned to find kittens cute, I don't know. What's clear is that more people will feel an immediate negative response if they hear that kittens are being mistreated, than if they hear that fish are being mistreated. So, rewiring our "instinctive" responses so that we feel the same about fish as we do about kittens makes great sense from PETAs perspective.

What I wonder is when someone is going to look to the plight of the cholera bacteria...
