Heck yeah, that was cool...
Now I don't know if this is a secret, but the ability to fast forward time in Chrono Cross after you beat it was a very nice bonus.

Hmm I wonder if there are any good secrets in Fable 2
Hehe, I was going to post the Winter Lodge behind the Bloodstone Demon Door. Beautiful area, and it scared the shit out of me. Go look inside. xD

-The movie references strewn around Duke Nukem 3D.
-The suicide note from the troll under the bridge in Oblivion.
-Of course, the cake stuff from Portal.
-The basketball secret from System Shock 2.
-The video games you could play on your Game Pig in System Shock 2.
-The chainsaw from Doom.
-The "Whoopsie!" from Mortal Kombat II. To this day I still laugh at that.
-To me the best "secret" is the entire Half-Life saga. The interconnectedness of it all really seems like it was made by geeks for geeks. Trying to explain the Half-Life mythos to someone is a little more than futile without them experiencing it firsthand, what with all the detail involved. Magnusson's comment in Episode II about the mircowave was the icing on the cake.

Pray to the Random Number God. The Space ponies are found randomly when exploring a planet. About the only way you can come across them is to continue playing.

Despite how I believe how depthless i believe the halo games are, especially Halo 3, that's where one of my favorite secrets is. It's the conversation between the guy locked outside and the door guard at the beginning of the second level.

Also, all the secret mystery eggs and the Ice Key from Banjo-Kazooie.

Last secret I remember discovering for myself was In Deus EX: Invisible War on xbox. The bit where you use the toilet and end up at a party. Those things usually happen the other way round!

I don't think those would count as secrets... they are just well... Mods you add to the game. Secrets are something you more or less stumble upon

Hitting all Kerotan frogs in MGS3 and finally snagging the stealth camo. The best is of course when you have to hit the frog on top of the sign on the runway from the back of a moving Jeep about 100yds out. You can't even really see the frog without the sniper scope, and you can only barely hear the "waddle-waddle" sound that meant you'd hit it.

The moment, when I found a secret room in factory in Rayman 3. Full of frozen RoboPirates (from Rayman 2 ;) ).
Yeah that was awesome.

Also, in fur fighters, when I found the hidden dinosaur world ("world" meaning a hub with 3 levels and a boss battle). There are only five worlds in the game and it was incredible to find that world inside another level I was playing. You find it by making a machine drill a hole into the ground and then go in a crack it made in the ground. What was more amazing was that it was that it included some of the best levels in the game, where you have to make your way around as an ant in a normal house (the dinosaurs are giant and of course apartments etc were giant too). You had to make sure not to get killed by vacum cleaners, navigate inside dishwashers etc.

The halo series had also many cool secrets, especially halo 2, but those were mostly more kind of glitches that was fun to try out.

"Giant Suit" was an actual glitch in Halo 2; on one map (I'm blanking on the name; it was the one set on a moon among wreckage of the first Halo) it was possible for the collision system to push a dead body through the "world" and end up in the skybox, thus appearing huge to players until the engine removed it.

I guess the secret that blew me away the most was unlocking the story terminals in Halo 3, but since I'm a card-carrying Halo geek and those terminals answered questions I'd been asking since the first game I guess that's a personal thing.

They did? It was all just random text to me (yeah someone activated the ring because of the flood but what more did we get to know?). But that body glitch was awesome.

When you click a coupla times on a critter in Warcraft II/III and it explodes. As soon as I discovered it I started roaming the map looking for every one I could find.
