For games I feel like Turok got the shaft with sequels, especially within the new generation. Every Turok game after the N64 has sucked.

And for movies, SAW. The first one was great, but come on. How far are they going to stretch it? Is there 6 of them out now? Ridiculous.
The 6th saw is out in October and as for stretching it i dont completely disagree but there is a big story that has been intermingled in with all of the 5 movies up to now regardless of their own individual plots, things about the first movie are explained in the 3rd, you have to think back to previous movies to make connections in number 5 stuff like that so its not completely trying to stretch the franchise like say...Friday the 13th :p

Also, if anyone cares there is a Saw video game coming out October 6th for North America and Australia (only dates i have seen) it looks fairly interesting and doesnt follow a movie so you can't cheat :p, you start out trapped in this house and you have to solve puzzles to ... basically not die.

Anywho :D i Thought terminator 3 was pretty balls, as we all know 2 was incredible and i thought 4 was pretty damn good too.

EDIT: The last Saw movie that is probably going to be made is number 7 and is set for release October 2010. There has been speculation of an 8th but they wont begin production until they guage the fan response from number 6.

I think games should only have sequels if he story is unfinished in the end, the game has gotten huge hype and big load of fans. Well actually almost no games should get sequels. I loved Gears of War, but I can`t say i loved GoW2. It was just so shallow and well.. World of Warcraft after Burning Crusade is just complete pile of rubble. Call of Duty 3 was a copy from CoD2, just changed numbers at the end. Tony Hawks games just shout have died at the number "4". PoP3 was... actually bad (only a few of the whole world see the truth behind that big shining cover and all). Far Cry 2 was not bad, just not the same as the first one. I think the big fps era has ended... GIVE US SOMETHING NEW AND INNOVATIVE!!
P.S God I hope Big Rigs wont have a sequel.
P.P.S I didn`t like Oblivion too.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts

Now I'm not saying that the game is 'bad' but you could have replaced the main characters. Banjo and Kazooie are not low enough on the main character scale to be placed into every genre of gaming. They should stay as platforming icons. Mario on the other hand, can continue being a genre whore.
Well, to be completely fair, Banjo and Kazooie did have a racing game on the GBA. Just saying.
And to be even more fair, it had a sequel before that on the GBA know as Banjo Kazooie Grunty's Revenge. It was one of those platforms projected in an isometric view.

Every FFVII sequel/prequel
Star Fox: Assault. I quite liked Adventures, except (ironically) all of the Star Fox bits.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. And the racing turd that preceded it. Give us Banjo-Threeie!
Crash/Spyro games after they left Naughty Dog and Insomniac.
Ratchet and Clank: Grind guns, not rails!

Anubis II. The game sucks, and, more improtantly, THERE IS NO ANUBIS ONE.
Because it's not supposed to be a sequel. It's supposed to be pronounce as "Anubis the second", as in him being the second in his family lineage.

Left 4 Dead 2. Left 4 Dead was good. Not great, but good. It was fun, but failed at keeping me interested for a longer period of time.

Yes, but does that excuse the fact that DDI made it?

No, there's no excuse for making this game. I was just mentioning the fact that it wasn't a sequel.

While I didn't play the first one, I say Soldier of Fortune Payback. That was a horrible game all around. The aiming mechanic was messed up, I tried aiming at a static point (a wall) firing one shot at a time, could not hit the same place twice. The enemy AI only had a few tactics (stand and shoot, crouch and shoot, run and shoot and charge to melee) and had ridiculous accuracy- Using a shot-loaded shotgun (opposed to a slug-load) an enemy, crouching and behind cover, was able to hit me directly from about 50+ feet away.
And finally the 'boss-battles' were ridiculous. I could kill normal enemies with only a few shots whereas a boss, without armor or vehicle, I emptied a 30-round magazine, a single shot from a grenade launcher and about half of a 100-round MG belt before he died.

Sorry, but I gotta' ask: have you played it yet? You might be surprised: I think it's one of the best Halo games yet, and I know I'm not alone in that opinion.
If it's not part of the Halo line, why couldn't they have invented a new story and created an entirely new game separate from Halo?(or used the same universe with a new series) Halo is just a catch-all that guarantees some buys and a new title would not net as many people.
