@Icarion: Well I guess if the full brunt of every Zig doesn't teach him a lesson then he truly is doomed.

@Icarion: I'm sorry I thought we were on the same wavelength there. The Zig is the ship launched by the human force against CATS in Zero Wing. I thought that's what we were referencing...

@Neo:Sorry, I only got the "All your bases are mine" from my friends, who spend much more time referencing and researching things than I do. In all honesty, I was the one on the wrong wavelength. But still, all his bases are mine.

The rain, the unrelenting rain. It fell upon the house like the clouds had burst and their last remnants were now plummeting to Earth in the form of ice cold droplets of rain. The sky's were gray and lightning crackled overhead, as if to foreshadow an event, both in equal parts sinister and baffling. He had just biked back from his friends house after having spent a long, jovial weekend with his peers, blissfully unaware in the midst of the joking, smoke and laughter that it would be the last time he would see them, or any other friendly faces for the rest of his life.

With his bike lumped carelessly in the garage, he proceeded inside through the back door, using his key to enter the house, hopefully unnoticed by his disapproving parents, but, as you may have already surmised, his parents were the least of his worries.

What initially disturbed him was his dogs unusual silence, as whenever he would return from his excursions, his dog would bark happily at his return, rushing to the back door to meet his long time friend, but today... Today the inside of the house was deathly silent and along with an unusual amount of dust, there lay an ominous feeling in the air, a malevolent feeling of emptiness and malice.

And so preoccupied with his feelings of unease and scribbling on a nearby piece of paper, he failed to hear the subtle creak of the floorboards behind him, the disturbance in the air, the shadow out the corner of his eye, or the swish of the bag that fell over his head, obscuring all vision.

"Essex police are baffled at the sudden disappearance of a local teen-age boy, last seen exiting his friends house in Colchester on Friday the 7th. He was expected to return home later that evening, but when it reached midnight and the boys parents had heard no word from their son, the police were called and a large missing person search was launched in the area of Wivenhoe.

Police are yet to find any clue as to the boys location and have found no evidence about his disappearance, except a cryptic note found at his house the next day, that suggests he might be a runaway.

"No, I'm not dead. Well, atleast not before now anyway. I guess I kinda got swept in my business you know? But now... Now I wish I had made some time, some time to hang, some time to chat, some time to be around yall and just be silly again, like we used too. But I guess its too late for that now, much too late" - The last Earthly penned words of Mr Zango

Sorry about the shitty death and my long absence, the former being justified because I am very tired from the bike ride home :p

Hows everyone doing lately?

@Icarion: Cheers man, I've had it for ages and I've wanted to change it, but between revision, college and friends I have barely been on my PC lately. And I got tests too soon, bloody Psychology on the 21st, a test I know I will fail and fail hard.

@Zango: Yeah... procrastinating's a biatch. Especially when you're in a thread that surges on ahead without you, forcing you to catch up when you return.
