It was a dark and stormy night, clouds pregnant with thunder and rain, birthing violent bolts of lightning into the air. My trenchcoat was drenched with water as I entered the smoky bar, ?The Underground? if I?m not mistaken. It was an awful bar but it provided me a chance to think on my most recent case. ?Three turtles missing from the zoo, huh? Looks like a chance to redeem myself from... My last case!!!? I heard some shuffling from the backround and I turned with cat like speed to face the intruder. As I turned I smashed my knee against the table sending me tumbling down in pain. A dark figure stood over me with a large knife preparing to stab me. I thought fast. I needed to react quickly to save my life!
I flashed a grin ?Oh, hello there. How knife of you to drop by!?
The Killer scowled and threw away the knife only to pull out a large Colt .45 and place it on my forehead.
?You know from that sort of position of power I bet you feel like the world really does revolve around you!? I gave him a smug grin saying ?Try me, bud. I can do this ALL day.?
The Killer thought for a moment and re-holstered the revolver. He then withdrew a vail of Hydrochloric acid. He gestured to it proudly. as if to say Let?s see you make a pun out of this! *****!
I had to think for a moment. Then I got it ?Acid get me some tough ones! You?re making this too easy!?
The Killer let out a shout of rage and tossed the vail on the floor, smashing it. He got up and stormed over to a closet and pulled out a bat which he gestured to furiously.
I shook my head ?You?d batter think of something else.?
His shoulders slumped. He gestured to a broken pipe laying on the floor
?It?d be better if it was piping hot.?
He stomped his foot on the floor and pulled out a grenade from his coat and whipped it at my face.
?At least I?ll go out with a bang!?
Even as the grenade detonated ripping me to shreds, I could still hear the scream of the Killer. Above the explosion, above the lightning strikes, above everything else in the world.
It was a dark and stormy night. Thunder echoed down the hall where drug deals had gone wrong. Hounds bayed at strangers who dared to approach their house. My last case I tried to protect the ones I love only to have them die in my hands... I suppose this would be adequate... Pun-ishment....

@ Icarion&Neo: What part of [HEADING=1]You were warned[/HEADING] did you not understand? Seriously, tho' now that that's out of the way next time I can write some better stuff. I've had that sort of thing in my head.
@VH:It was aweful in a good way. In the "I wanna shoot myself in the foot" good bad. Like Take one song from a genre of music you hate, then find one thing that is awesome, but despite it, teh song still sucks. That's what your death was like. Does that make sense? Maybe, you refined pain to an art, is a more concise term.
@Neo: I'm sure it would be, unfortunately I can only have the fake bacon bits as bacon makes me sick, its a damned shame too since I love bacon so much
@Neo: I don't mind white rum, though that isn't my first choice. Ya I don't know, everytime I have bacon, my stomach starts to act up so I don't eat it anymore
