@Schizzy: I know, right? I hope that it comes back someday. I'd even be alright if someone came up with something similar to fill the void. XP
@CA: Yeah, I know a lot of people who are pretty decent writers who just annoy the hell out of me. Conversely, a lot of my friends are great people but couldn't write their way out of a wet paper bag. Writing skill means absolutely nothing to me if a person's personality strikes me as intolerable.
Guess that just comes back to the idea that I would always rather write with friends as opposed to "good writers" who I can't stand. ^_^
@Link: Agreed, very much so. Though I have to admit that some people I consider to at least be friends do have a tendency to bug me with parts of their writing, and they refuse to accept help to improve on their posts.
@CA: Well, that's human nature for you. Most people absolutely hate any sort of criticism since no one really wants to dwell on their own weaknesses. A lot of people I know either get angry when someone offers some constructive criticism or the simply ignore it outright. It's unfortunate though...the key to improvement is understanding both the strengths and weaknesses of a piece and applying that knowledge to future works.
Improvement is a self-motivated decision though. No one gets any better unless they truly believe that they can and are willing to put the work in to do it.

For the record, I agree with both of you... Just... been havin one of those days where I need to act like I disagree with any subject because people are assholes.
@Criticisms: I think that people really need to open up to criticisms about writing since it can help improve their writing a lot. I should know I've always been open to criticisms and I am always happy to receive criticisms since I'm always looking to improve my writing
