@Mortis: That is probably the best version of Hallelujah that I have heard. I'm not usually a fan of overly breathy vocals but when this guy opens up he's got some pretty good power.

However, I will never be able to get the image of that scene in Watchmen out of my head. It completely ruined this song for me forever. >.<

@Link: I have not seen Watchmen, so I can't really say I understand where you're coming from, but if it could ruin a piece like that then I'm content to say I haven't. I do love Jeff Buckley's voice, though, really strong when it rises up. But to think, I never would've found that were it not for Pandora...perhaps I'll subscribe to it like I've been meaning to for quite some time.

@Mortis: Let's just say that they paired that song with probably the most unerotic and awkward sex scene that I have ever seen. The entire theater burst into laughter when I first watched it. Not exactly the reaction I think the movie was going for.

Still a great show though. Not as good as the book but it's still one I recommend to people.

I need to start listening to Pandora again. It's great for expanding your musical tastes. I discovered Cage the Elephant about a year before everyone else because "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" coincidentally popped up on my Say Anything station.

Finally I can pretend to be a hipster! ^_^

@Mortis: Eh, that doesn't sound like a great place to be. I mean, the music sounds great and all but I'm not really a coffee drinker. Plus, I try and avoid having a misplaced sense of superiority and self-satisfaction.

I must respectfully withdraw my self proclaimed hipster label so that I will be able to sleep at night without judging people's poor taste in irrelevant preferences like fashion and music. >.<
