@Elf: Sephiroth is one of several optional bosses, the hardest in the game. I never even got close to taking him down.

Cloud you have to fight although it doesn't matter if you win or lose funnily enough, the same holds for Squall from Final Fantasy VI. That's why they're so hard. Hercules you fight much later in one of the tournaments held at the Coliseum (I can't remember if that is compulsory or not).

@stalker_came_to_bris_and_didn't_say_hi: the second tournament bosses are squall and yuffie and that is fairly hard but if you just take out yuffie first its easy as squall makes slow attacks that are easy to dodge and leave him open. you have to beat them to activate the next cup round 5 is cloud he is a monster to beat and then round 1 is herc who is easy. i don't believe its mandatory to finish the game but you have to beat herc to get the yellow trinity and the keyhole. but i believe its an optional keyhole.

@MemLCol TBOT: .. I actually agree and I have played/beaten Kingdom Hearts too several times back then.

Hercules wasn't hard for me at all. He was to easy to read, let alone really hurt me at all. When he had his god mode on, i'd just wait/weaken him until he stopped glowing then go all out. Doesn't help that the game decides to help you out and give you barrels to ease the boss fight even more.

Hardest boss for me was Sephiroth. Never even seen FF7 or seen the guy so imagine my expression when the sky has signs that look legit as crap form and summon this winged dark angel. I knew he was going to be hard when the sky itself was a dense red. But imagine my expression (again) when his first strike had half the battlefield fired up in a flame hurricane.

I couldn't even hurt him until I found out only the ultimate Keyblade could jack him up. Luckily in Kingdom Hearts 2, you didn't need the ultimate Keyblade to hurt him in that version and he was funner to fight against. .. .. God dang it I want my Kingdom Hearts 3 now XD

@cloudy with a chance of frappe: i have never beaten seppywrath in KH1, i do however usually win the race with rikku and the fight with squall at traverse town and seppy in kh2 is easy as pie.


Edit: jusst remembered back in the day there was a youtube vid of that fight between cloud and sep, in jap and subtitles, the show down of pizza, it was soooo funny i cant find it anymore
