@Neuromancer: If Mem were the lawyer though it could make sense. Throw out information to attempt to get the suspicious people murdered. It's a gamble, but the spy'll either have to come out or stay silent and let the people be executed.
If they come out, then they're boned and only the lawyer takes the hit. It'd remove the biggest threat to the traitor.
If the lawyer releases their own information in protest we have to choose and we might choose wrong.
To make things worse what if the traitor already knows who the priest is? Then we have nothing. I don't trust it.
Being the killer before, I noticed a lot of what it involved was word games And tons of luck SUPER SKILL AND INTELLIGENCE!

They get boned, yes, but only after releasing their info. Their death would validate their claims and the rest would know who to vote for. Not only that, they would know who the lawyer is aswell.
