Oh man, votes are just piling on a single person in this cycle. One more vote for [Redacted] and then it's impossible to change who'll be executed. I think some of you can kinda guess why...
@Malbas: Okay, stay awhile and listen: First off the robot's name is Widget, she's the size of an 11-year-old girl, her personality is nothing like what you're seeing during this raundo and she's actually a video game character I've been thinking about for a while.
There was a science guy named Lloyd who had a daughter named Gwen (11yo). They've lived in seclusion and are hiding from an evil organisation for years, fearing for the same fate the mother had.
Even though she was safe, Gwen was obviously very lonely and Lloyd noticed that, so he started building a robotic companion for her. A friend who would build her own memories and live on with Gwen for a long time.
However, the evil organisation eventually found where they were living, seeking to kill the two and destroying all Lloyd worked on. The robot was unfinished and inactive (AI was incomplete, neither is a couple of its utilities). Worrying that Gwen will not run away in time, using science he decided to remove all of his daughter's memories and implant them into the robotic shell, activating it and telling it to run to a safe place. I'm not saying if Lloyd or Gwen actually lived through the attack or not.
The memory implant didn't work properly and thus the robot only remembered a fraction about what Gwen lived through and what it saw during the attack. It only remembered:
She has a young, female figure. (Something she can take advantage of but it's also a disadvantage in some cases.)
A man asking someone else to "pass the widget". She really liked that word, so chose to name herself that.
That she does know she doesn't have all of her memories and is searching for a way to activate them as well as finding out where she came from.
You play as her many years after the incident, meaning there are some technical happenings with her robotic form. Although her basic programming tells her to act like a child, with her ability to adapt and essentially increase her intelligence as time passes, she is exceptionally smart. With the combination of being both childish and knowing very much how electronics work she's very mischievous and can hack other robots, security systems, etc.
She's put in danger a lot of times with evil men and such trying to capture or destroy her, but she can hold her own and will never kill nor even badly harm those who do.
