The Entwined is a role that is put in place when there are an odd number of active players in the game. When the first pair got killed, that brought us to an even number, but then DoPo left the game, putting us back at odd. Demagogue reassigned the role as a result.

EDIT: Actually, looking at the rules, it says "total players," so I'm not sure that adding another set of entwined was really warranted since DoPo's departure brought us to an even number of total players, not odd.

SECOND EDIT: On the other hand, since the effect of the Entwined's role is to change the effective number of players as far as deaths go, having an even number of total players plus the Entwined does make the effective number of players odd. So there you go.

@sneka: The Entwined are more like long lost siblings, as opposed to being close friends.

As for the double Entwined this round, if the first pair didn't die before DoPo left, then the role would've been deactivated until someone else happens to leave the round and bring back the total active players to an odd number.

We always have to make sure that when the final cycle starts, the murder will end the round instead of an execution.
