@Twintix: Alright ... since I felt like we've definitely lost this one- I'll just come out and say it:

Won't spoil who the Killer is, but will say everything went wrong for us; everything. He / she chose me as the Lawyer because he / she believed no one would suspect me. We didn't anticipate people starting the bandwagon shenanigans on me. At first I went along joking with Dirty Cop because he was acting cute, feeling it would come to pass until suddenly 2, 3 ... then more started wanting me dead. I started to worry, because of ALL the Rounds, it had to be when I was chosen as Lawyer.

That was why I was so upset overall. Being called out to die before roles were assigned, and then the damage had already been done. I felt since I found you as the Spy ASAP before cycle 1's murder could occur, we had this in the bag like when I got the Spy before and the Killer won. Yet, the Medic saved you... so it delayed our plans and BAM I was executed so I couldn't help my Killer out anymore. Then when we finally killed the Spy, the Priest activated his role immediately and you're still alive now meaning our game is screwed. Everything just went against us and i'm mostly disappointed in how most of it wasn't in my control.

Even Lux couldn't activate Arbiter's role to help / hurt me because of how influential people are. Six people voted for him ... so i'm assuming someone is PMing others and gathering a mob rather than anonymous voting (aka random / guesses).

Gotta say, good job with both your questions. You not only survived, then got revived when murdered- but you narrowed the list down to three people in just three cycles. I'm pretty impressed, and this is the guy who found you right when cycle 1 started.

Personally though? ... I didn't have fun. To short of a Round, and now no one will ever trust me as Lawyer.

@Dirty Cop James funs: Thanks Dirty Cop for ruining the Round for me, before it begun. Causing a bandwagon effect and ensuring this Round only lasted 3-4 cycles .... and before you joke about it or say "but you're the Lawyer!" ... what if I wasn't? That's my point everyone's missing but whatever. I may not join the next Round because of you guys ganging up on me before roles were assigned.

Maybe people simply found my reason for killing Jux convincing? People were also clearly out to kill me too. One mere vote difference saved me.

Also the thing is short of astounding luck it won't be in the control of the lawyer. In a game like this you can't just win based on skill. That's just how it is in a multiplayer social game. Sucks and doesn't feel good but eh, just gotta wait for luck to go your way.

I'm not sure the bandwagon alone is responsible for your death. Some random guy has to die the first round, yes? The best thing to do is group people together to vote on a single target to reduce the serial killer's voting influence. Any random person could have a role so that doesn't really work as a reason not to kill you, it applied to everyone after all! Unless you get ganked every single round first thing I wouldn't put too much stock in it. And I know for sure you weren't the first victim last round.

Nationality is often an easy one to get out of the way first. From those, I just checked on their profiles to determine which question would shorten the list the most. Though, admittedly, I got incredibly lucky as well...

This may end up being a short round, but I'm really glad for the invite, and would love to play again, though I don't know how yall decide who gets invites for specific rounds. Don't be too bummed Frappe, grudges are forever, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of chances to dick these fellas over.

I.. don't actually sleep.. so that is infuriating to have everyone nod off when I'm trying to have a two hour conversation...

The rounds would be longer if the spy's question power was equal to the Lawyer's question power. It's not a balanced system in my opinion.

Unless a large amount of players change sides, you lost question one. Once the deck is cut in half against the killer, there is no means to win by probability. I really think the spy needs tweaked..

@Secondhand Revenant: The sad thing is, in the past ... I was ganged up on. Often. When I first joined, I was executed. Then next Round was the same deal. Or if I wasn't executed, I was murdered very soon. Happened for a few Rounds before people stopped killing me off early. Then one Round I was executed as the Lawyer cycle 1 and was super salty I admit. But that came to pass, and I would live to either die mid game or survive ....

Ahh well I understand why it would bother you particularly then. Still, if it stopped for a while I'd say you should hold out and wait at least another round before throwing the towel in.

Kinda have to agree. A smart spy will cut it in half by round one, to a quarter of players by round 2, and then to about an eighth in round 3!

As for Frappe two things you need to keep in mind:

1. You are probably the most connected person here, most people are because you invited them, when you're new to a game you lean more on your friends, or target them because you expect them to be ducks in water.

2. You can want to blame DCJ for starting the bandwagon all you want but the fact remains post #3 was Arma pointing fingers at SR, who is still alive.

@Caramel: I stopped talking about videos before the round started. I knew that if I kept bringing it up, it would make the current one less enjoyable for everyone. I keep my grievances between rounds because that's the time to talk about them, not during a round where we're supposed to be playing the game.

Last round I was annoyed that BeerTent used a video to essentially win the game, I was annoyed when Revenant outed himself as the Priest, I was annoyed by Fractral for getting Revenant executed, I was annoyed at myself for not bothering to watch BeerTent's video and point out mistakes in it like what would've normally done.

I still co-operated with Fractral last round to a massive degree, and despite our efforts were thrown away in the end I thanked him for contacting me so we could work together. I didn't ensue my revenge on Revenant last cycle because of a mistake he did and this round becoming the prime suspect for planting of folk. I didn't disqualify BeerTent from entering the Hall of Murderous Infamy because he used a method I didn't like, I didn't even ban it.

I've been through a lot more bullshit with this game than you have. The first time I've been the Spy I got executed, the next I got hit by the Arbiter. Multiple times the player I trusted the most through PMs turns out to be the Killer. For three rounds straight I got executed within the first three cycles and for one of those times it was because I was at the top of the list of players in the OP. The Death Post I worked for several hours on didn't get a Death Award just because the GM didn't feel like having them. I've had to argue a rule I put in place against the majority of other players after an incident with it despite the rule being present for several rounds prior. But the worst one of all? I broke the rules at one point and I blame myself for causing many players to never return to the game. I've had a player tell me I've ruined one of the very few things that keeps her from visiting this website.

If I agreed to receive the Lawyer role and then get executed first? Yes, that would annoy me, but I don't show it and start snapping at everyone. If something bad happens one round, I forgive, forget and move on.
