A lot more talking went on last cycle. People changed their mind.Secondhand Revenant said:Maybe not. But it wasn't any more united before this. Last vote had a ton of 2s. Now 3 others all jumped on him when they had other targets before? Eh.crimson5pheonix said:Armadox wasn't exactly the most inconspicuous individual. People banding against him independently doesn't seem that far fetched.Secondhand Revenant said:Yeah but they would have to coordinate with each other. Pure randomness won't get 5 all on Armadox I don't think. I don't think voting Armadox is such a controversial vote that they would have to hide it if they wanted to band together.crimson5pheonix said:Not when there's this much suspicion going around. Frappe said s/he wasn't voting for Evilroy, so just 3 other people had to agree for it to be a tie. Remember, there are several quiet people who have their own opinions.Secondhand Revenant said:Are 5 other votes likely to land on top each other without coordination? 4 is substantial to beat purely at randomcrimson5pheonix said:4 out of a dozen votes?Secondhand Revenant said:I'm pretty sure like at least 4 people voted for Roy at this point. Aero agreed to, I did, Demagogue was chanting it everywhere, and IIRC Hippo was in on it too. Scattershot isn't that likely after that.crimson5pheonix said:I think the votes just went scatter shot. I wouldn't be surprised if it was another tie. Though Armadox leading by a couple of votes seems plausible as well.Secondhand Revenant said:Not too surprised. Still kind of surprisedcrimson5pheonix said:Roy's still alive. Were your expectations tempered?Secondhand Revenant said:On him dying or him being the killer?crimson5pheonix said:Meh, I'd temper your expectations.Secondhand Revenant said:His vote may put you on the roulette. Or above it. (Also it would be his first vote for you since you have yet to appear on the sub's most hated list)crimson5pheonix said:Yeah probably, but the rabble is too diverse for votes to actually matter. I'm hoping for another tie rouletteSecondhand Revenant said:In Soviet Russia, killer votes for youcrimson5pheonix said:![]()
But I think we have this killer in the bag. Or rather this EvilRoy in the grave.
I'm pretty sure he's dead now since voters are uniting to numbers higher than 2.
As for him being guilty, I kind of have to hope he better be now that I got things rolling since if he's not I'm probably dead. So I better be optimistic...
I'm going to guess that maybe the killer and lawyer got the trickster with them. By now probably the decoy(Frappe I bet) too. Because we had a lot of people together so I'm guessing there had to be another group who coordinated. We'll see when we have the votes out
Okay Jim Morrison.Armadox said:For there by which I stood alone, abreast to the situation, but never can I be telling what I know. I sit here, my brain a washed and reeling the memories of that which got us all assigned to this god forsaken sub. Reliving them over and over. The projector showing no reprieve as it taunts me without intermission. We stood proud and bright eyed then as we boarded it's cold hollowed walls. Unnatural. Unkind.
I have not been sober since.
Now I sit and drink with the memories of our own misfortune, it's words as bitter as the spirits by which I drown out all other feelings. Cold and deadened on the inside to match the indifference of the sea. She bade us no glory when we entered her embrace. I was once not to long ago afeared I will never see my family again, though that has passed. I now revel in the small kindness that they will not see me like this. I will be remembered a good man, a hero. I'll bask in that knowledge until I am long forgotten.
A long aching need to let my fellow comrades of this precarious submersible understand their situation. I have seen the villainous scourge. The dark shadow that hangs over my friends, and causes them so much suffering. There, an ally, oh merciful day, be haste now, I have to warn Demagogue of this treacherous killer that plagues us now!
"Eat handfuls of gravel!
Bite the nose that feeds you!
Bring the flag down!
The bands has stopped playing!"
I nod, watching his face to see if he understands the depth of the situation. He must help me. Oh by all there is, he must! But, he turns his back, smoking his cigarette in peace. There will be no salvation from this man. I take my leave, screaming down the main walkway.
"We've left the television on!
Where have all the cowboys gone!
There's no cure for apathy!
Fill my boots with honey!
I don't want to be here anymore..."
A stirring of men come up from the path, watching me with confusion. I have them, they have to hear my words now. I know who it is! They know that I am trustworthy, and that I will be by their side this day. I tell them who the saboteur is!
"Droit du seigneur is boys in the yard.
Bring in the bacon cannon.
There is no one left.
The clock strikes the hearts of men.
Insert the bathroom plug into your spinal cord!
Drain the tub.
Drain the tub.
We're all going down!"
A moment of joy fills me. I have done it. I have saved us all! I watch them excitedly as I know they'll follow me to the culprit, and end his existance. For mother Russia we'll be home yet. I watch their faces turn to surprie at my words. They must see. Then, it's replaced slowly with anger.
Panic! Pain! I am running from them now, sequestered in the storage closet as they bang on the door. They must have been turned by the american spy already. I am the last one still faithful to my flag and country. Oh, dear country, I have failed you. A tear for my fellow men as I gather up a wrench and wait for the door to be knocked in.
"Differentiate the blood pudding!
There is no time to wait!
We're all on the short bus now!
Let them ride!"
There is a final bang as they crawl into the room, the storage I had been tasked to watch the supplies of, and drag me out of the crates. I can feel boots taken to my head as my vision ebbs and darkens at the edges. I surely have found my fall today.
"He's drank all of our stocks! We're out of all the alcohol on the vessel captain! Even the rubbing kind from the medical kits. I have no idea how he's still standing."
His words make no sense to me, but I feel it's only their means to justify their actions next. These curs! Mutineers! How dare they stand before me, a true and honored member, and send up such bile as to challenge my words. Do they not understand I am helping? Have they been swayed already! I must break free, and find the captain. He has to know!
I crack radio private Headsprouter in the face with the wrench as I move past him. Fingers reaching, tugging at my clothing as I'm wrestled to the ground. I look up and see my worst fear. The American stands before me. I try to reach the pistol holstered at my side. I will not this day be condemned by the ignorant and the fearful. I feel the steel toe come down upon my temple even as I think this. My vision fades, I can feel the blood pumping i9n my head. Tonight I will dine with death, and I await his offerings. I struggle once more, my body convulsing as I let them know it is him...
"Turn out the lights
The band can stop playing.
Nothing more to see here.
We'll be home by mourning!"
