There was a great gnashing of teeth as if on some eldritch and spoiled meat at the very limits of his ears. Constant and forever chewing, chewing at the reality of this unplace. Chewing at the fabric of him. He could feel it's tongue crawling in his flesh, worming around in his dark, wet places. He feared this, once. Now said fear is no longer a gift he holds.
He doesn't know how long he's been at this now. Weeks? Centuries? He watches his comrades move in and out of view as he wanders this awful town. It's people smiling at him as he passes, their faces blank. They are hollow things, nothing here nor anywhere. Motes in reality. They do not matter. He feels something peel from his neck, and his vision pans out, as a hundreds of bulbous, pupil less eyes open wetly across it. He'd lost his ulna to some local children, and his arm hangs uselessly to his side, a fleshy noodle.
He scans the horizon, and spies a radio station in the distance. Perhaps, answers. Perhaps he can reach someone.. Oh great things beyond our consciousness, please let his legs make it there..
