Well there's a few possibilities.

1. He's taking the risk the killer won't believe him and thus won't stab him
2. He's trying to fool the lawyer into wasting a turn on him
3. He's trying to fool the killer into wasting a turn on him
4. He thinks the killer has better targets to try for and won't take a detour for the Entwined until those are taken care of
5. He's evil

Still not sure what your motivation for revealing yourself is. Finding the other Entwined? It's not like you have any guarantees that person isn't lying to you.
