Btw, how many must die to count as a victory for the Killer?
Everyone else except their lawyer pretty much
Isn't this a little unfair? It would make sense if we say if only five people survive, is a win for the Killer.
I mean, I think the game could use more balancing tbh

To be fair if only five DO survive then at least there might not be much conflict over how many rangers should be in a team.
That's all well and good for the arcs and filler episodes but what are we supposed to do for sweeps week?

You can't do this kind of episode with only 5 Rangers

...I am super confused, did the spy get assassinated or did he drop out and get replaced? I thought it was the latter, and that we were still in the assassination phase...

Anyway, I guess I don't die in the night this cycle. Everybody has gotten my PM. I stand by it. Gritch is the lawyer, unless he's mad trolling. Vote for him or vote for me, but if you decide the latter get him next after you see I'm just a peon.

As for the second PM, I guess it's not a bad place to start if the spy didn't get to anybody after all, but since it wasn't the assassination cycle like I thought then SK didn't have to be online to assassinate me, so the list has shaky legs.

Edit: I wasn't sure if I should include this, because I'm sure that trusting in what I'm saying is a big enough pill to swallow, and it involves throwing a guy who's been a pretty affable buddy most of this game under the bus... but of all the players in the game, Jumbo Palace is the only one I know for sure who has been in communication with Grinch, besides me. He was online while Grinch spoke to me tonight, and when I sent him that first PM he got back to me and told me that Grinch had made him the same offer. I find that incredibly suspicious: what Grinch asked of me was hugely ambitious and risky. I am a new player, and he had to know that he couldn't have the full measure of my temperament. If I decided to turn him down, than I would doom him. It is true that with all the spy questions asked, he and SK'd have their back to the wall (although, I don't think he's interpreting the rule about when spies can ask questions correctly), and were therefore desperate, but would he really compound that risk by forwarding the same offer to another player, especially without knowing my response yet?

Jumbo also tried to gain my trust by spinning a story about how Shoggoth had approached him shortly before his assassination to warn Jumbo about Grinch... only to die before Jumbo had a chance to get to his PC and read the message. Yet, we had an agreement to share the spy list, and in the hours he had, and as of up to now, he has not shared that list with me. Would the spy go to him for help and *not* give him the list? How could he have helped the spy anyway, if he had no role as he'd previously told me? I suppose he could be the medic, but how would Shoggoth have figured that out? How did Shoggoth get a chance to ask for Jumbo's help before he was notified of his assassination? I think it's most likely that Jumbo was attempting to pacify me, make sure that, as one who knew of a direct link between himself and Grinch, that I didn't attempt to cast suspicion on him.

Granted, I could have been on the spy list, which is why he hasn't mentioned it to me. But if I were on the list, I don't know why he'd reveal that he'd had contact with the spy. After all, I could've been the SK testing his loyalty or some such. If I were listed as a suspect, I don't see why he'd respond to my PMs tonight at all.

Furthermore, I'm the one who blew the whistle on this deal. If Jumbo hasn't PMed anyone about this by *checks clock* 1:01 AM Central Time, then he hasn't tried to. That, I think, would speak volumes.

...To bring it back, my paranoia is dialed to 11 and my death is assured. Emotions are high... well, high-ish. My best judgement isn't on the table, and I could be jumping at shadows. But that is the name of the game. My pick for SK right now is Jumbo. Hang me, see I'm innocent, decide what you'll do with my judgement call.
Damn dude, thanks.

Here's the list. I've been away from the computer doing stuff for the labor day weekend. Hope it helps.

Edit: Okay I'm caught up in the thread now and it looks like Shoggoth was brought back and shared the list. Cool beans. Sorry I wasn't able to get this out sooner. It was early o'clock when I was communicating with Supa and I just never got back to my pc until this whole shit show got started.

What can I say? My paranoia was high, the phases were confusing, I never heard of a list going around (for good reason, it turned out), and I also thought I was gonna be busy this weekend.

You're in the clear though. That list is down to 3, me, FalloutJack, and Caitseth. I don't care if I'm lynched or not, but between Cait and Jack I think Cait, but I haven't got a strong reason, and what reason I do have can be seen a page back I think.

Edit: actually the game is just about locked. One of us 3 gets hung now, Necromancer asks a question to narrow down the 2 to 1, game over. Only thing to stop it is a shot from SK at Necro. Hope Necro's for a line to the medic.

Well, Red Ranger did his best. But now the killer is going to be more alert than ever! We must not let distrust break our team apart; otherwise the taco will be lost forever!

OoC: What a bad weekend for my PC to decide to break down.

If Revnak hadn't started to look suspicious to me, it might very well have been you I went for just because you were the one not around

If it's not Cait I'm gonna be pretty pissed that it's FalloutJack.

'course, you could say the same about me.

So that's... I think at least 4 people Gritch reached out to add to Team Evil? Me, Jumbo, Revnak, Sweetshark. He got greedy.

You'd think he'd know not to recruit a guy called SupahEwok - a bear in a superhero costume - for Team Evil. Did he really say that? Team Evil? Seriously?

Either way, the game should be quite locked if people are paying attention and voting correctly

You've been straightforward with your interactions with me thus far and I appreciate that. That's why I'm not going to beat around the bush here. I want you to join team evil and overthrow this round.
His exact words, quoted from the forwarded PM I sent to literally everybody but the GM.

I'm actually not a Superman fan, that isn't part of the origin of my username. I just find the imagery funny.

...What? Don't look at me like that.

Edit: Also, I was actually tempted by his offer, but to sabotage a round of SK during my first game like that? I didn't want to develop a reputation as an asshole who fucked the game up by screwing the rules.

...At least, not for a few more games.

Buddy, I started judging you for the ewok part. Regardless, that was definitely not the best move on his part. I lol'd at that.

We bonded over a mutual aggravation in the form of Pirate. It was a strong bond, but even it could not overcome the rotten human selfishness of "Nah bro, I don't want people thinking I'm trolling their game" and "wait why the fuck would i join the losing team when my team is already winning"

I gotta ask. It's been nearly 80 games. Has the Killer ever won one?
They got a list pinned somewhere in the user group.

Pretty sure the number of SK wins is like 8

Ten. Yes, I see. Guessing it's more about how you play, then.
