Yeah, it's like DDR. Except, y'know. Better. With a good song selection. But Rock Band isn't like DDR. Can you be Drums, Vocals, Guitar and Bass in DDR? No, then it's not DDR.
And why does EVERYONE want Rock Band to end? I find it to be the best time I've had with friends. It's extremely fun, and yet so many people want it to end.

Soul Calibur/Tekken/DOA/Virtua Fighter/MK/SF - Let get a new league of fighting games in there

Gears of War - I'm sure this game is already lined up for 3 more installments, needs to die

Battlefield games - BF1942/Vietnam era was all that mattered

Star Wars Games - just stop, please

Halo - mediocre from the start

Yeah, but you see Guitar hero and Rock Band's music doesn't consist of annoying J-Pop music that no one likes.

Also Gears of War 2 hasn't even come out yet! How can you say it needs to die when it's second installment hasn't even been released?

And I thought Battlefield 2142 and Bad Company were pretty fun.

I disagree about Megaman.
Not because I'm a fan of the current series, they've fucked him up quite badly if you ask me...
However since they're doing megaman 9 in 8-bit graphics to the wii-ware, I seriously want to see megaman returned back to his former glory of 8-bit classic perfection.

If you want a more 'old school' mega man feel, as much as you can have from current gen games, I can recommend the Megaman Zero series (GBA), Megaman ZX and Megaman ZX Advent (DS). It's sidescrolling enemy slaughtering fun. The Zero games, obviously, star Zero. So you're replacing your Buster with a Z-Saber.

three series i want ended (or at least overhauled):

sonic games-there's too many of them, the story is almost impossible to keep track of, the characters are getting boring, it should just die.

pokemon spinoffs-rescue team, pokemon ranger, that game where pikachu watches TV...the only pokemon spinoff a sane person has ever remotely liked is pokemon snap, and that's been gone for quite a while now. stick to what you're good at, pokemon: rpg cockfights.

the Wii series-not worth buying, more tutorial levels than actual games.

I like how almost all of these games listed are only on these lists because YOU don't like them. Some of the top selling hugest cashcow moneymaking franchises are on these lists. Perhaps games you'd like to see end. Not so much should. Or better yet.. games that aren't as good as everyone thinks they are...or games that people should stop buying and find something worth while...either way you write it, this has def been done before..and im new to these boards..same conversations over and over again. good ones though

You know that it is going to be like Halo. No matter how many times they say it is over they're just going to keep bring the damned thing back from the dead to make more money.

Because deep down inside we all know that a Halo 4 will be made, and that there will be some sort of addition to the Metal Gear Solid series.

As much as I like the series, I'm going to say Pokemon. Let's face it, we're at almost 500 Pokemon now. That's getting to be a little much, and a lot of the new Pokemon just seem uninspired, with a few exceptions (Lucario, Floatzel, Luxray). How large is this number going to get when sequels keep on churning out? 700? 1000? Nobody in their right mind is going to try and "catch 'em all" with that crazy amount. And once you look past the new features each game has, it's essentially the same plotline. Professor gives you first Pokemon, you collect badges in order to activate HM moves in order to get to areas to get more badges, you fight an evil organization called Team ____ along the way, you ruin their plans sometime before the 7th or 8th badge, you fight the Elite Four and the Champion, you win.

It's time to put this one to rest.

I'd say GTA, Final Fantasy and after Red Alert 3 Command and conquer as well, we don't want to see it's decline, leave when you'll be missed in my opinion.

Hear, hear! Honestly, Nintendo is doing to Mario what George Lucas is doing to the Star Wars franchise (milking its cash cow until its udders are smoldering, blackened stalactites.... I wish I could say I came up with that myself).

Exactly, its just like what Yahtzee said, what can you actually do once you send Mario into space? Where can you go from there?! Mario Galaxy was great game. Lets end on a high shall we?
