And I agree. Jak and Daxter was my favorite game series as a child and is still one of the best games I've played after 10 years of gaming. Naughty Dog and there games are the reason became a gamer in the first place. I miss the old Crash Bandicoots.pimppeter2 said:

Battlefield... as in, just Battlefield 3, a successor to Battlefield 2.
Battlefield 2 made some serious leaps and bounds in the online shooter franchise. It was half arcade and half realism, and it worked. You could mod it full realism and a lot of people still do today.
Where was the next-gen sequel? Better physics, graphics, gameplay... ? I would have thought there would be handfuls of these games but there hasn't been like.. one. Something with long-range maps and long-range engagement distances. None of this shoebox shooter crap. I think Armed Assault 2 was the only next-gen, but it's strictly mil-sim, and it's too clunky for much people to enjoy.

there were some great ideas i'd heard were in the works before it was all pulled for the development a new interactive experience.
