Ah don't worry

They are a minority. They are also puppets on a string, being jerked about by the Health Insurancy industry and the Republican party. They are easy to scare, they are angry and they are ignorant.

But they are a minority. The people out there on the street would never have voted for Obama, even if their lives depended on it (and judging by how many are poor whites without healthcare, some do depend on it). Those that will or might vote for Obama are scared to death of these loons.

There are loons of this sort on BOTH sides - the Left has those idiot 9/11-Truthers and the Right's got this bunch of whackos. The only scary thing is that the Right-wing nuts carry guns and are far more likely to act on violence.

But at the end of the day, if the Right keeps on carrying on like it is, they won't win. These protests are noisy, distracting and filled with bile, but they make no difference because they don't convince anyone who wasn't already convinced that Obama is somehow a muslim kenyan elitist celebrity communist hitler-in-disguise.

The 9-11 truther protests never achieve anything and these guys won't either, because the mainstream looks at them and thinks "what a bunch of crazies".

Hey hey, no bashing of countries.
Although it's kind of sad how the bad in our image outweighs our good :/
This needs to be corrected soon *goes back to trying to produce super virus*.
They never bashed a country. Just said about their experience with the people.

joking aside tho, I think what this country needs right now is just a stable government wich isn't afraid to make descisions, like this one seems to be... everything is bloody pushed forwards untill the next elective period... although that might be a good thing since most of the stuff that is put off is actually going to make things worse...

god I hate this country...
Didn't Bush' decision to run the american warmachine across half the world seem like quite a DECISIVE action to you?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the stuff that does the most harm to the world (including the U.S) is Presidents doing too much, rather than "too little"...
yes, quite decisive indeed, but anyone makes mistakes altough in this context that would be quite the understatement...

and about empire, yes I have this game, my united province forces are absolute rulers in europe, with only russia still having it's original territories and the ottoman empire but I don't regard of that as europe...

kazork, being leftwing in my book is better than a rightwing fascist like wilders... I actually was a member of an extremely leftwing action group called the International Socialists... and in my life have only ever voted for the SP (Dutch Socialist Party) (btw, where are you based?)

so you could say I'm one of the lefties... and yes, I do also own a PLO scarf :)

Stop twisting George Dubya Bush's words and making them your own.
He said "The problem with the economy isn't goverments doing too little it's goverments doing too much"

Yes, these people are a minority group. However, while this video depicts some of the more extreme and uneducated people against Obama's plans, there is a larger amount of people who object to some of the ideas of the President without devolving to idiotic rants. Although, most people who object to ANYTHING that Obama says, are usually regarded as such.

These are several ideas that are depicted in the video that I would disagree with, and a few concepts that I would agree with. ( I didn't watch the whole video, so if I left anything out, it's probably because I didn't see it)

1. Obama's spending habits.

My opinion: They are way, way, out of control. A country in the economical situation we are in should not be spending such vast amounts of money on some of the things that Obama has spent money on.
I don't know much about politics or economics, but it seems here in Australia, Rudd spending so damned much actually helped our asses, that said it could just be because Australians won't let the beer economy die.
No
The reason we with stould the recession was because Peter Costello left a surplus. I know that because he said so himself.

I think I spoke of the "Americans being the Bane of humanity"-thread. The U.S government doing indiscriminate carpet bombings in other countries where thousands of civilians die because of it, you don't hear as much as a squeak from the american people.

But raise taxes, FOR ANY REASON AT ALL, and boy the streets of Washington suffers a bad case of over-crowding with disgruntled citizens.

-"Oh sure, go ahead mr President! Get our military to act like nazis in other countries, we don't mind. I mean it's just a bunch of 'brown people' of 'terrorist descent' dying anyway. But if you raise the fucking taxes then im going to rip you a new one, got it!?"

*facepalm*
RAISED TAXES!?!?!??!??!
OBAMA IS HITLER!
AMERICA IS DYING, WE NEED A CHRISTIAN PRESIDENT!!!!!
(All paraphrased extracts from the youtube video)
I always found the whole conservative "we need a Christian to lead us" considering Obama is Christian.

Also the interviewer is great, just rips them people there and their ideas to pieces

If I didn't know this was true, I'd call it hilarious. As it is, I just shake my head in sadness at the sheer, asinine stupidity of some people. Also, people who enact seriously Godwins Law IRL get my unreserved contempt.

4. Obama is a Christian.

My Opinion: No, he is not. Saying that you are a Christian, and going to church, doesn't make you a Christian. This concept is evidently competely foreign to many Americans. A Christian is someone who has a relationship with Jesus, believes Jesus's words, and the Bible, and tries to live their life accordingly. A Christian is NOT someone who merely agree's with some of the Bible's philosophy or teaching, ( this is what I think Obama does), it is not someone who twists or intentionally misinterprets the Bible to promote their own agenda, ( this includes cults, televangilists, most politicians, many church leaders, and terrorists who attack or murder others in the name of "God")
Please read EVERYTHING on this website:

http://www.evilbible.com/

On that website you will find genuine excerpts from the bible. Many of which are intended to be the "law of Christianity". The people responsible for the website has not made them up (they are all in there if you'd bother to read the bible).

And tell me, in which way have these evangelists, church-leaders and terrorists "twisted" and "misinterprated" the bible? : )

All that "evil" shit is already in there. There's not much to really "misinterprate".

So if I have to choose between the "pick and choose" Christians who, you know, don't rape people, don't kill people and don't promote stoning homosexuals to death OR the fundamentalists Christians who are "by the book". I think I'll choose the former. And if Obama is one of those people, then yay him!

I didn't read the entire website. Mostly because it's the same tired anti-christian hate speech I've read and discussed before. And it usually fails to impress me.

I have read the Bible, and more importantly, I understand it. Something the founders of your website failed to do. Also, you might want to research some of their "historical" claims. You may be suprised to find they are quite off-base on several things. But, I am not going to tell you what those things are, you want to know? Look it up yourself.

I disagreed with the assertion that Obama is a Christian, ( one would think, that would make someone like you, happy) But outside of that, I didn't say whether I thought that was a bad thing, good thing, or a reason to decide anything about the man. It's just my belief that he is not a Christian.

Honestly, I could go into a big, long, drawn out debate with you about the merits of Christianity. But, in the end you would still spew your hate speech, and I would still disagree. This thread isn't intended for a religious debate, and I will not turn it in to one. So, I am done discussing this.

If you feel the overwhelming need to debate, you can send me a message to my profile, and we can try to discuss it like civilized people.

"The cure for communism is a new wave of McCarthyism...."
Um, no actually. Communism is its a self-defeating system. I mean, China's been flocking to capitalism. And, save for environmental and expansion issues, they've been doing pretty well.
I don't get why people fear Communism. And for that matter, I don't see why on earth we'd need another McCarthyism wave. I mean, who would an anti-American spy for, exactly? Al Qieda? The last thing on their mind is Communism.
*sighs* I suppose they'd call me unpatriotic for saying that, but I have the utmost confidence in the ideals the United States was founded on.

And then to see people of different pollitical views retaliating by slandering holy texts...
It makes my soul ache.

Nothing is wrong with nationalized healthcare, but you have to understand, we have tens of millions of illegal immigrants in our country who don't pay taxes and would get said healthcare without paying their share. That's bullshit. PLUS, our welfare system is already screwed up with so many people abusing it. It's hard to imagine people would treat the healthcare system any differently.
To expand on that, many of those illegal immigrants are felons in their own country and would never be allowed in America, even if they went through the right legal channels. Maybe your country would like to take them and give them healthcare they won't pay for. We have plenty for everyone!

People like this are a HUMONGOUS minority. Most tea partyers are protesting the bailouts, Obama printing $1,000,000,000,000,000 with nothing to back it, unelected advisers, the health care plan, government being in banks, and the government having more power than the people. People that are screaming ignorant slogans are heavily looked down upon, so are the people that are wanting violence. Glenn Beck (the creator of the 912) has said "If you see or hear anybody advocating violence TURN THEM IN"

The left and the right are always going to slant things; newleftmedia is going to show the right as a bunch of lunatics and try to twist things their way so the protest fail, So just remember THESE PEOPLE ARE THE GRAND MINORITY.

To quote Richard Jeni. "If you're on the far left or the far right you know what you've done now, you've gone to far"

Oh no, im far from anti-christian, and far from anti-religious for that matter. Please feel free to read some of my other posts on this messageboard and you will find that despite my sceptic agnoctisim I have been sticking up for religious people quite a few times.

What I am against is FUNDAMENTALIST christians. and CONSERVATIVE FUNDEMANTELIST christians. Meaning the retards who follow exactly everything in the bible to the latter (even the evil parts).

And as for you saying that you have read the bible and "understand" it. Please consider this excerpt from Leviticus:

"If a man lieth with a male as with a woman, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

Now if you "understand" this as being anything other than a pretty clear instruction to kill homosexuals, then you are "misinteperating" the bible whether you like it or not.

This isn't just "hate-spew" against christianity, it is the truth. The bible (or "Good Book" or whatever the hell you want to call it) DOES contain instructions/morals of evil. It also contains morals of good. It contains both, quite simply.

Now if you have faith in God, and believe God to be a good and forgiving God, you don't go around stoning homosexuals to death now do you, even if it does say you should do so in the bible?

A good christian, let's God himself sort everyone out in the end. A good christian does not actively try to prevent other people from doing abortions or stem-cell research. A good christian keeps his or her religious issues between God and himself/herself and is confident in God's abilities to judge everyone appropriately after they have died. A good christien don't see the need to correct his fellow man and his possibly ill or blaspheming ways through direct action.

Fundamentalist christians on the other hand rarely do this. They're the ones who swallow all the shit in the bible. They are the ones who think killings of homosexuals to be a good thing. They are the ones who try to disrupt important scientific research. They are the ones who wants to cram down their beliefs down the throats of people who don't care. THEY are the ones I have many things against. And they are not real christians either (most of them haven't even read the bible, they have just swallowed all the shit that their rabid minister has been saying like prostitutes swallowing cum from a john).

So which one of these are you? Fundamentalist or Good?

Yes clearly these are well adjusted people. I mean, just listen to what they are saying. It all sounds so reasonable. Especially the part where that man considers fascism to go hand in hand with socialism. He is obviously in the know, that one.

In any case it is interesting seeing somebody on a gaming forum insulting every sane person in the vicinity for spending too much time indoors. Makes me wonder how you got onto this forum, been an outsider and suchlike.

PS: In case you didn't guess all that first paragraph was aggressively sarcastic, I though I should tell you because you are obviously going to be too stupid to figure that out for yourself.

"Free-dumb! Free-dumb!" Sadly, some of us are that moronic. Luckily, there are a fair number of people, myself included, that recognize they don't understand all of the sides to the issue and, instead of announcing how stupid they are on the subject, actually do research. I didn't watch the whole video, but as soon as I saw the abortion stuff, I knew exactly what kind of Americans you were talking about. On a slightly related note, I find that people talk a lot less about this stuff when they are farther away from DC (pretty quiet around here in Oregon) which effectively means that people who can have the greatest voice have the smallest ideas.
You should watch the whole video, the guy asking them what their opinions are countlessly leaves them running into a wall.
One guy with a "Joe Wilson for President" sign was told that Joe Wilson once voted for Heathcare for illegal immigrants...
"Joe Willson voted for that? Well I...I...I´m not supporting Joe Wilson for President!"
All with this nice backwards american accent.
And the whole Czar stuff...hillarious!
"Czar´s have been under Ronald Reagan too, they have no executive Powers, they are just advisors. Maybe the problem lies in the Term alone..." "And you know this how?"
LOL maaaaaybe by INFORMING HIMSELF!

And yeah, facism, communism and socialism are all the same to someone who barely knows what capitalism is...capitalism for most americans, means democracy and freedom, i shit you not.

Can any of you tell me what obama planned to do with health care without looking on the web. Little test of obams political capability . As a persidant many people have no idea what he wanted to change in health care.

Why he spent so much moeny on the other hand is simple he had to! I like most of you know that almost every country in the world borrows money at the end of every year (the news always talks about it where do they get it from?-->IMF or other corntys who are not so badly in red this year) most goverments are under the delusion taking loans to aviod increasing tax is what will keep the popular and in power. Well yha it will however it just creats long term problems which they dont care about as someone else will have to deal with it. So anyway if you have to borrow moeny at the end of every year as the world richest contry ($11 somthing trillion down from 14 trillion a few years ago) somthings going wrong. What it is thats going wrong I can take a guess at and I'am sure you can no one wants to increase tax as people will start to complain without knowing why or caring for what resion its increased like the people in the vedio. We as the people (the moeny) scare our own goverments into hiding there problems so they will be elected again so they can pick how they use our moeny (the people). In conculsion it is because of the people that dont look into the reason for any situation be it ecomonmic recession/ 9-11 / health care change or even everyday things that we blind our selfs and those around.

BTW I is crap at spooling und german I is in engalnd to loool!

Anyone who thinks that every citizen in any given country believes in the same ideals as that country's extremist groups (extremist groups that get massive media attention because they are crazy extremists) is an idiot. I mean, really? That is a huge generalization. Huge.

Before I get really upset, I'm just going to say this as calmly as possible: No, everyone in America is not like that. No, we don't all disagree with nationalized health care. No, we aren't all misinformed idiots who think Obama is a terrorist or the anti-christ.

Oh, and yes, we did vote for him - thanks to everyone who likes to point that out; we as a country almost forgot we had voted for him without you there to remind us... Just so you know, the people protesting likely did not vote for him and are angry that he won the election in the first place.
