Seriously though, why are fanboys so oblivious to facts?

If I might contradict you, I wasn't born for that. My Dad gave me his GameBoy (that greyis brick with the Covenant Purple buttons) and it became my life. Then I got a GBC for my birthday, and Pokemon Yellow with it. Then GBA SP, then a Gamecube, then DS, then the Wii. And now I'm caving in to my friend's pressure and the temptation that is Fable 2 and getting a 360 for my birthday, but I'll still always hold a place for Nintendo in my heart* head.

Xbox 360 and PS3 are fanboys are frickin' hilarious since the systems are basically the exact same. Like, OMFG Blu-Ray! Mass Effect! Atleast it kind of made sense in the old days to argue whether the N64 or PS1 was superior (which usually boiled down to quality v. quanity issue, respectively) but I'd rather walk around in public naked, frankly, than have to subject myself to the embarrasment of being caught debating about the merits of two carbon copy consoles.

Still, graphics is pointless if all the millions of pixels form to make bland grey walls and monsters that look the same. I find Wario land shake more appealing to look at than loads of hi-def games.

Unless there was some obscure reference in this thread to you specifically I never called you a fanboy, I was making a generalization towards "fanboys", which in my experience is true... The fact that you had to justify why you're not a fanboy only makes you look more like a fanboy, hopelessly attempting to cling on his denial by going over-defensive in an online forum. Srs bzns. The thread is about fanboys, I made my point. And me defending the fact the I'm not a fanboy doesn't make me a fanboy, where do you get that logic? If I told you right now that I'm NOT a magic pony, doesthat make me a magic pony?

So my friend is a 360 fanboy and he keeps saying that ps3 graphics will never match 360, so i showed him heavy rain and told him it's ps3 exclusive and he told me "Those are the worst graphics I've ever seen"

Well yeah, it's a pre-rendered cut-scene, not a gameplay screenshot.

What part of "actual gameplay footage" confuses you?

The part where Sony says "this is gameplay footage" and it isn't. You know. The part where they lie.

God forbid I've behaved like that my entire life. Maybe Yahtzee is my dad...Even though he's not that much older than me...And he's in a different continent altogether... Well, let's put it in another way. If I was outside discussing famous murderers with a group of people and you came running out of nowhere and yelled "I DIDN'T KILL HIM HE WAS DEAD WHEN I GOT THERE!" I'd probably think you might have something to hide yes.

You mean the part where most major games journalists watched David Cages assistant pay out the actual scene, and all stated the graphics look that good? So you're suggesting that we act with paranoia towards every game thats released?

Do I suggest we should take anything the developer says up until release with a pinch of salt? Yes. We live in the age of the pre-rendered footage, the touched up screenshot and, in Fable 2's case, the outright lie. Why do people hate fanpeeps so much? If someone loves something to the point where they ignore its faults, then good for them? Don't start an outright attack on them just because you want to force them to see the truth. It's like they say: "Ignorance is bliss."

I just can't stand the Wii. I've never really gotten into the idea of it. I made a choice between the 360 and PS3 because of what was readily available in game choices at the time. I made the right decision (fact) and now wait until the excellent PS3 games come out so my friend can pick them up. It's nice to share
