I saw that thing and it looked to me like he was tearing into delusional PS3 AND 360 fanboys. Actually I thought he was being just a bit more harsh to the 360 fanboys except for the ps3fanboy who apparently insulted his integrity. He sunk to that guys level real quick.

I was more perturbed by his previous soapbox where he encouraged everyone to buy DLC: that's just irresponsible. It's easy for him to recommend, he never has to pay for it.

$10-$20 for what's usually a few more missions isn't a good deal on any system.
Ok I just watched the DLC one and I do think there is some validity to his statements. I am quite content with my Operation Anchorage purchase and do plan on buying the other 2 in March when the level cap is raised (since I now have 3 level 20 characters). Some devs have it right. 800 points (10 bucks) for new missions in a new area isn't that bad. It keeps the game fresh, gives me something to look forward to and is relatively cheap compared to spending 60+ on a gamble (since a game can get great reviews and doesn't jive and it costs close to the same to rent). So the 10 bucks is a safe bet since you prolly won't buy DLC for a game you don't like.

With that said there is some crap out there as well. GOW 2 map pack comes out a week after launch? (rough estimate). That is BS and should have been free. Those kind of shenanigans give DLC a bad name.

Also something he didn't mention that I will. DLC is hurting places like Gamestop. You aren't gonna trade in your copy of GTA 4 or Fallout 3 (if you like them to begin with) knowing there is more gaming goodness coming.

Well I HATE gamestop so they wont be getting any sympathy from me; they've been ripping off gamers for too long.
I also have found that its very rare that they put enough game in a given DLC.
Example: Lost & Damned- for $20 you get what, new missions a couple of new guns a new bike maybe a new commercial or two on the TV? That sounds like a ripoff.

I also played OpAnchorage and all I can say is that I hope the other DLC packs are a bit broader and less linear in both environment and story. Broken Still will probably be worth it just for the level cap and ending fix but that should be a patch not DLC.

Maybe I'm a terrible person to ask as I never buy DLC and of the free DLC I've gotten (UT3, Burnout Paradise, Civ Rev) I would've felt ripped off if I paid.

OK here is what I don't get. Everyone keeps saying the level cap and end can be fixed with a simple patch. I didn't like the end not because it ended or even how it ended. What I didn't like was how the ending was presented (and I was one of the many who bought the gazillion endings lie). Sorry I digressed for a moment. Who is to say the level cap will just be a level cap? I have not heard either way if there will be new perks we can earn while grinding to level 30. It almost seems silly to boost the level and not throw in some new perks with it. That said I again in my optimistic mindset am also expecting new critters to VATS the snot out of.

So now taking a successful game's mutliplayer is plagiarism? Especially a multiplayer as successful as TF2?
When it takes stuff from CoD4's perks and exp system, you could say it's not a huge deal. When you take the class system of Team Fortress, the only real class based FPS to date, and water them down and rip off most of the classes, yes. It is.

Can somebody please explain to me why killzone's mp is so good? Looking at that video its just a cut down version of cod4s mp. Which was hardly a good mp experience in the frist place.

I have been ignoring fanboys since the days of Nintendo VS Sega in the 16 Bit era. It has always been this way and it will always be this way. Fanboys suck, that is life. That guys Sessler was funny though. I appreciate his rant and his points. It is like I have always said, if people were rich enough they would own all the systems. I know I would in a heart beat!

$10 for what took me 3-4 hours to complete is a good deal and I don't feel any sort of regret for getting it. Keep in mind that it used to be one might have to spend $50 on an entire game that was that long.

Xbox, Halo, etc. Fanboys. The people that would be pissed about that kind of thing. I'm a bit of a psychologist, as in I BREAK people like that. I piss them off so hard they hate me with all their heart. I win fights against those people because I know what makes them tick; fear of the unknown. The philosophy that one can be good, but only one. The way to stop this is to keep the normal mind of never having too much of a good thing, and the concept of I like this, but this is good too. I destroy their mentality from the inside, which makes them the helpless six year old fanboys that they are, no high and mighty stupidness.

Dun Dun DUUNN!! My point exactly. They judge it though they haven't played it. I've played it once and I can say its a phenomonal new experience. Not worth getting my own PS3, but great nonetheless. If you don't compare one game to another, you will learn to like much much more. Oh, and how was it "cut down?"

For your sake, I hope you hadn't watched the video before posting that.

Sessler took to task the anti-fans for their bleatings, yes, but he also fired plenty of ammo at the fanboys for whom "5 out of 5" wasn't good enough. There's plenty of idiocy to slop around in the fan community, don't let any one group try to hog it all.

"Sit down and take a big breath, and while you mouth is open shove you dick in it"

*claps*

I've grown to respect this guy, no matter how bad G4 is.

Wow, he gets pretty pissed off when people accuse him of doing something wrong, huh? But seeing that makes me respect Sessler more, I really hate fanboys too and I'm glad to see he's willing to come out and talk about it, even if he's bashing the people that are watching his show. Though it sounds like he doesn't want them watching the show or on the forums anyway.

Also, the gameplay footage playing behind him makes me want to get that game. Too bad I only have a 360 and not a PS3. See, fanboys? See how easy it is to just talk about something like this in a civilized manner? Why can't you just do that? Or atleast shut the fuck up. That works too, since you're probably too stupid to speak in a civilized manner.

I was asking you to explain seeing as I know bugger all about the game. All i've seen is the footage in the background of that video. But i guess reading is a little difficult for you.

I don't get how people can even try to dispute review scores for the game at this point anyway. Its like seeing a steak through a window in a restaurant but never actually going in or taking a bite of it, and then complaining when someone comes out after eating said steak and saying they didn't like it. Or, in a case I read about earlier this morning, liked it but thought it could be a bit better. Or in this case, loved it but was overheard saying he would have liked a side order of fries with it.

It'll be interesting to see when Yahtzee inevitably reviews this game at the end of the month. Even if he's actually nice to the game his inbox will probably be spammed. And from both sides, no less. I wonder if that would lead to another mailbag showdown...
