Settle an Argument?

Hey people who actually clicked this topic, I need an argument settled.

This morning I noticed something weird and green in a milk carton, on the rim of it to be more precise. I asked someone what it was, and they took it off, handed the milk back to me, and said it was fine. They went so far as to question "Why do you gotta look into everything you put in your mouth?" And now whenever I bring it up they get really pissed and tell me to drop it.

Is this weird? Or am I just being paranoid?

Not being weird at all. Sounds like there was some kinda mold on there in which case it's not fine.

Plus who the hell would put something in their mouth and not know what it is?

Tell them to close their eyes and hold out their hands/ Hand them something extremely moist, i advise you take a small piece of sponge and drench it (if you feel really sadistic roll it in chilli powder), and demand they keep their eyes closed and ram it in their mouth. I miss being able to eat yoghurt without worrying there are bugs in it. Ignorance is bliss.

But I doubt proving him wrong on an internet forum is going change his opinion or settle the argument with him though.

That's what I would say, almost word for word.
But...I'm a rather intimidating person, I don't know if you could afford to do likewise.
Really, this slob is either a piece of mold assuming a human form or he's trying to kill you.
I've never met someone who would act like that...a normal person would probably be worried, apologetic and dispose of the possibly tainted milk for their own image and safety.

Heck on my side checking my food before i gulp has saved me from friends pranks (where they would distract me and get me to turn my head and another dude puts pepper or extra stuff in my food for the lulz), from eating rotten food and in 1 notable occassion, prevented me from eating a food that had bugs in it....

So yeh better safe then sorry, check what you eat. Think of it as a basic survival skill if you will.

I made the mistake of drinking sour milk once. Never again. Now I know to check the expiry date BEFORE making tea, not after. Most of the time you can trust your nose- if it smells horrible, it's probably not safe to eat.
